Review for Herbal Essences Blue Ginger Foam Conditioner - 1 month, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
he short version of this review is I wouldn’t purchase.
Packaging: Metal aerosol can, bright colours of blue & green, looks like mousse. It is eye catching & gimmicky.
I really do like that they have so much info on their labels. I’m not gluten intolerant, but I have a friend who is and she spends so much time looking every product she’s considering up. H. E. has the fact that it’s gluten free right there on the label. No guesswork.

Scent: I’m not sure what blue ginger actually smells like, but this smells nothing like the earthy-spicy scent that I expected based on my previous experiences with ginger. The scent is clean like fresh laundry, with an almost cloying floral that will overpower the senses. It does stick around for a while after your hair is dry, much toned down. I personally didn’t mind the scent, but it was unexpected.
Feel: It’s odd. The foam didn’t feel weighty like most conditioners do, at the same time, I worried that I had too much or too little to be effective.
Results: Neutral. I didn’t get the feeling of hydrated, conditioned hair. What I got was lank hair that was prone to flyaways. I didn’t feel like the conditioner balanced the “stripped hair” feeling I got from using the shampoo It not something I would purchase for myself.

Review for Herbal Essences Micellar Water & Blue Ginger Shampoo - 1 month, 3 weeks ago

Review for: Micellar Water & Blue Ginger Shampoo more...
The short version of this review is I wouldn’t purchase.

Packaging: A twist on the classic Herbal Essences look. Same great bottle in a clear-with a hint of blue, updated modern-earthy graphics. It is eye catching from the shelf.

Lather: I had a hard time finding a balance I either had way too little or too much when using this product.

Results: Unimpressed. I really felt like this “over cleaned” my hair. Stripped all the natural oils and made it tangly and produced fly-always that I’d literally never had before. I can see this being used pre-henna so that I’ve got a super clean base for the dye to adhere to, but otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing

Review for Pabst Blue Ribbon Beer - 6 months, 1 week ago
Happy Hour Expert Level 2
Despite its bad wrap, I love PBR. It's best severed very cold and it great to pack a cooler for an outing or large get together. Goes great with pizza and spicy foods. I find that it's always consistent and like it much better than other light beers in the same class.

Review for Blue Moon Belgian White Wheat Ale - 6 months, 1 week ago
Happy Hour Expert Level 2
This is an enjoyable wheat beer that isn't bitter (which I've found to be the case with others in this class). I enjoy it best with an orange wedge and it goes well with a range of foods or even by itself. This is a go-to brew for us and you can never go wrong to pick this up.

Review for Leinenkugel's® BeerGarten Tart Beer 6-12 fl. oz. Bottles - 6 months, 1 week ago
I really enjoyed this brew. Very rich, creamy mouth feel, not sweet, but far from bitter. I've made this purchase a few times. I enjoy drinking it on its own watching a fire rather than with food, but it does go well with fruit or cheese cake! Recommend.

Review for Cabot Greek-Style Lowfat Yogurt Plain - 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Foodie Expert Level 1
This is my favorite Greek-style yogurt. I have had many Greek-style yogurts and they all seemed lacking once I tried Cabot's version. In our house we've enjoyed Cabot's cheeses for several years and I was excited to try their yogurt when I found it at my local Ingle's. I haven't seen it elsewhere. The texture is a little different than other Greek yogurts I've tried, this is more authentic and similar to home-made. It's tart, but not bitter. Both of these qualities make this one of the best on the market. Low sugar content. Great price (it was actually lower than the store brands). It's great for cooking with and made a wonderful tzatziki sauce. I highly recommend Cabot's Greek yogurt.

Review for Magic Mesh Hands-Free Screen Door - 7 months, 3 weeks ago
I had wanted a screen so I could leave my doors open during the summer without bugs infiltrating my home. I purchased 2, and took them both back. The images aren't clear as to how it works but it's designed to be placed OUTSIDE. The assembly didn't work with my door frames and honestly it was unsightly. The center closure didn't line up well at all. I do not recommend.
Review for St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub - 8 months ago
Sometimes you need a good scrub. This delivers and has for years. It's my go-to when my skin is looking a little dull or I've had one of those days where I've gotten extra sweaty or grimy. I always keep a tube in my bathroom. A classic, and for good reason.
Review for Clinique Facial Soap Type 2 - Dry Combination Skin - 8 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
This is one of those products that I keep coming back to. I love the scent, the way it leaves my skin feeling clean, how consistent the product is and how nostalgic it makes me feel. However it isn't one of those products that knocks your socks off. When I run out, I'm never like "I've got to order more".

Review for Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser - 8 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 3
I liked the idea of a gentle cleaner, but my face never felt "clean". I used this product for three weeks and during that time experienced some pretty bad cystic acne on my jawline that I hadn't been prone to in over a year. I will say that my skin felt soft, and this worked well as a makeup remover so then I could follow it with another cleanser, but overall this wasn't the product for me.
