I have this in the shades Curvii and Tight Fit. I think both of them are amazing. They are great nude shades, with Tight Fit adding extra sparkle to any look. These are super comfy on the lips. I don't get that gross gloopy sensation when wear g these. I think these last long for a gloss. They are also so affordable, how could you not love them?
I have this lip gloss in the shade Sandy, and it is my favorite! I'm usually not a lip gloss person, but decided to try it when it was on sale. I find that this isn't sticky or weird feeling on the lips. It's very comfortable. It doesn't burn like I've heard other plumping glosses do. There's a very mild tingle, more like a cooling sensation. I don't notice a huge difference in my lip size, but my lips do look healthier with this on. It's beautiful enough to wear on its own or layer over others. I can't wait to try out more shades!
I love this line of nail polishes! I am not a nail polish guru or a professional by any means, so I just want color that lasts and looks nice. I usually only need one coat, maybe two, with most of the colors that I have used from SinfulColors. I love how they make such an effort to come out with trendy colors while keeping their classics out for everyone to enjoy. They are a great affordable brand that lasts a super long time on my nails!
I knew that I should not have put this on my face when I saw that there were 3 different types of alcohols in the first two lines of the ingredient list. Alcohol denatured being the fourth ingredient is a big no no. I don't care what certain distributors tell you, it is one of the worst things for your skin. It causes severe dehydration, premature aging, and sensitization. Why this would be used in such high quantities in skincare, I don't know. I received this product for free in exchange for my review, however, so I tried it anyway. I very quickly regretted it. Underneath the clay scent, the smell of alcohol is very strong. It was all I could focus on the entire time it was on my skin and being rinsed off. It's been 10 minutes since I rinsed it off, and I can still smell it. I gave the product 15-20 minutes to dry, which is the recommended time, before rinsing off. I followed with my skincare as usual and found something odd. My usual skincare was now stinging. This isn't something that has happened to me before following a normal face mask. I can honestly say, I will never use this product again. I didn't notice any change to my skin at all.
Review for: Get It (apricot nude), Sis (warm brown) more...
I am a connoisseur of matte liquid lipstick. It has to be one of my favorite makeup items ever. I had tried Tarte's first take on the trend and didn't like it at all! When I saw this version, I decided to try it out when it was on sale. I bought two shades (Get It and Sis) to get a feel for the formula in general. I found them to be very consistent in quality. They went on nice. They were both very pigmented and I didn't find either to be streaky. They weren't kidding when they meant quick dry! These take seconds to dry down completely, so work fast. Despite drying down so fast, these are extremely comfortable throughout the day. They are possibly the most comfortable matte liquid lipstick that I have tried. However, they do not last a long time on the lips. When you eat something, these WILL come off, so keep it around for touch ups! That's why I took a star off. I like longevity more than comfort in my lipsticks. They did well in retouches, though. I love these and wish that I had bought more when it was on sale.
This is the most amazing mascara that I have ever tried in my life! I have naturally full, long lashes. So while it does not take a lot to impress me, it does take a lot for me to be stopped dead in my tracked to admire how incredible a mascara works! This completely separated my lashes and lengthened. My lashes get so lengthened that they literally touch my eyebrows. They get so separated that it looks like a fan. It's basically false lashes in a tube for me! The best thing? The effect does not go down throughout the day. This looks just as impressive after 10 hours as when you first apply it! How many mascaras can claim that? There was no smearing, fading, or flaking off. My lashes didn't droop throughout the day. I have found my new favorite mascara for sure!
I have naturally long, full lashes so it doesn't take much to impress me with mascaras. I just want one that doesn't look clumpy and will last throughout the day. This did just that. I separated my lashes beautifully! I didn't notice much lengthening, however. It just gave me fluttery, beautiful lashes. I would call this an everyday mascara. It's definitely not over-the-top, false lashes in a tube but a toned down mascara that just gently enhances. I wear it all the time! It does not flake off or fade throughout the day. I do not notice any drooping. It's just a good mascara.
Review for: Laura Geller Spackle Mattifying Under Make-up Primer more...
I realized that I really need a primer and I didn't have one. I was exploring the aisles of Ulta, intent on getting one from the drugstore side, when I saw this one. I love how you just get so much for your money! You get a significant amount more product in this than you would in other comparable primers. For reference, it's a full 2 ounces. I have slightly oily skin, so I went with the Mattifying version. It is slightly tinted, but it goes on sheer for me. I don't find that it has a smell. I'm so glad that I chose this one! My skin gets MUCH less oily throughout the day with this primer. I get almost no shine now! It also helps the product go on better, in my experience. I only use a little bit of primer, and it covers my entire face! It didn't break me out, which was a concern of mine. My pores get slightly smaller, but they are very much still there. I didn't notice the primer said it was pore filling, though, so I'm not taking points off for something that I don't know if it claims to do. I really like this primer! I'd recommend.
For reference, I have normal/slightly oily skin with a tiny bit of acne and VERY large pores. I used this with the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation and a few others. I didn't find that this did much of anything to my skin. The Fenty foundation was a mess so I'm basing this on my experience with my other foundations. I found that this did nothing for my pores at all. They were no less visible, in my opinion. I did notice that my foundation glided on a little better, so that was a plus. My skin also didn't get all that much shine to it that day, so that's another plus. However, that isn't anything that I can't get from any other primer. My drugstore primers do the exact same thing. This definitely isn't a horrible primer. It's decent, just nothing special. There's nothing about this that would make me feel like I need this over other primers.
I have never tried the original beauty blender or some of the other more expensive sponges. This is my very first makeup blender spongse, so I was not sure what to expect. The sponge is incredibly soft and squishy! It also gets much much larger after it soaks up water. I do find that it sheers foundation out a bit, so I have to use more than I usually do. From what I understand, that's kind of on par for this type of product so I didn't take away any stars. My foundation looks flawless with this! It makes my foundation look smooth and like skin. Sometimes, when I want fuller coverage, I will use the Elf Selfie Ready Foundation brush and then gentle pounce this over my foundation when done. I love the shape of this one. The dip in the middle makes it very comfortable to hold. I do find that it's not the best for getting into the crooks of my nose or blending out my under-eye area. It does a decent job, but I always follow up with a small brush afterwards. Once again, I figured that would be the case based on the shape so I didn't take any points away. I really like it and would definitely recommend.
