Review for: CLINIQUE Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector & Optimizer 1.7 oz
I got this for free from Clinique when I went to one of their classes and at first I really did love it. It felt nice, it absorbed in my skin very well. Lately i've been breaking out the last two weeks and I'm trying to figure out why and finally I realized that this was breaking me out! My chin started out breaking out with little whiteheads and large hard pimples. Eventually around my lips also started to get white painful zits. Today, I got (no joke) 5 more pimples on my cheeks, which I never ever break out on my cheeks! This is the only thing i've changed so it has to be this. I have oily skin so it isn't the best, I only use it during the night. As for the dark spots, no idea. I had to stop using it, I know that everyone loved our originally dark spot corrector... hopefully they don't get rid of that one anytime soon.
This stuff is awesome! I got it in an IPSY bag and haven't tried wearing it all day. I'm still testing it's lasting power out, but the pigmentation and color is top notch! I think the thing that sold me 100% was the applicator, I wish all lipsticks/glosses had this brush. So easy to use. The smell is a little different but I like it.
I received this bag in an IPSY bag a while ago and I love it! The color doesn't go well with my skin tone but I have to say... I am very surprised this product hasn't blown up. The lip color is called "Red Rose", I'm definitely going to buy different shades. The formula is very creamy, highly pigmented and doesn't dry my lips out. If my lips were dry the product might stick onto the dry patches, but just put a lip balm on under. The finish is a glossy, not matte.
The texture of this product is awesome! Its very smooth, smells decent, and does not dry my lips out at all. I think I got a bad batch or a weird color because my lip tint isn't as pigmented as everyone elses. I have the color moody, and it is very sheer! The color glides on my lips a little blotchy after a few layers. Other than the color, the texture itself is awesome! I just need to get a different color.
I don't know if I wrote a review on this already or not, but I love these tweezers. I'm the type of person to lose my tweezers and find them years later. So I was a little "eh" about getting tweezers that cost so much, but I'm glad I did! I take very good care of these. These can get the smallest hairs in one pull. I've had these for about two years and they're still very sharp, and work just as they did 2 years ago. Recommended !
MAC is not my favorite brand but they're not too bad. My favorites from MAC are their highlights (soft & gentle is my favorite), their matte lipsticks, and I have a large eye shadow palette my boyfriend bought me that I have being using a lot lately. I've also tried their foundation which was not worth the $30+, when I could buy a better one for $10 from ULTA. I've also tried their face and eye brushes, again not worth the large amounts of money. They're not that soft and they shed like crazy.
I've always loved NYX for the jumbo pencils, but that was pretty much it. BUT lately they have really been stepping up their game with their lip colors and face products! I am so obsessed with the suede lipsticks, BEAUTIFUL finish and awesome colors! I've tried Kat Von D, Estee Lauder, MAC, and even Chanel but non of them compare to the NYX suede lipsticks. I also love the lingerie lipsticks that recently came out. On top of that, NYX is so affordable. I won't be buying much from MAC anymore!
As for their face products, I've only tried their highlight/contour cream stick and ombre blush. The ombre blushes are beautiful, the "mauve me" shade is amazing. I'll be trying out more of their shades in the future.
NYX has really been stepping up their game lately. I LOVE their suede lipsticks so when I saw these, I had to get them, especially with the neutral colors. I got 6 of the shades and they are beautiful! When I first put them on it was very smooth and creamy. After the product dries however the colors goes into the cracks of my lips VERY easily, so it doesn't look smooth like other matte colors I've used. That is the only negative. But the colors are so beautiful, thats why I voted it 4/5 stars!
The colors I'm using in my photo is beauty mark and corset. I wanted to do any ombre lip, which was difficult because it dries very fast. Corest is the color in the center of my lips, beauty mark is on the outside. Love it!
I was send this product by Maybelline, but I already had it! I bought mine at ULTA for around $8. I have oily, acne prone skin. When I was in high-school I had terrible acne, I took acctuane and my skin cleared up a lot but I still have scars and redness. This foundation does a great job at covering up my redness and it is very buildable. To get a full coverage I used about 2 layers and it does not look cakey. The matte version is PERFECT for me. Maybelline also claims to have FORTY shades! That is a huge variety of shades to choose from! Ultra sold about 8-10 shades so finding one that matches should be no problem. 5/5 stars, it's in my top five favorite drug store foundations now. :)
ALSO! I've also tried the dewy finish, and it doesn't look good with oily skin! Make sure to know your skin type before you buy it.
