I’ve gotten a few of these in Sephora Favorites kits and I just do not like them. It is very heavily scented and the fragrances and essential oils irritate my skin leaving it pink and dry. I’ve been trying to figure out how to use these up and the best I have come up with is to use it on my chest as a sort of aromatherapy. I know a lot of people love this, but I just can’t understand how people’s skin doesn’t revolt. If I am going to use a facial mist it will be one with skincare benefits that I can see, like DR ROEBUCK’S Bondi Hydrating Mist

Review for Evian Brumisateur® Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray Travel Duo 2 x 1.7 oz/ 50.28 mL - 2 months, 3 weeks ago

I’ve used these sprays in the past and they are nice to have on especially hot days or to get rid of the powderiness of makeup. They have to finest mist of any facial mist I have come across. I don’t love aerosols because of the environmental impact (metal canisters not always recyclable) so I’ll probably stick to others in the future.

I have dry, dehydrated acne prone skin and I’ve been testing this out for a few weeks. I do like it, but I find that it is a bit pricey and drying on my skin. It seems to reduce redness and inflammation in my breakouts and makes my pores look smaller. It definitely isn’t something that works well enough to treat my acne solo, but I pair it with Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum and that duo seems to work very well for my skin. I have a mini of this and even though I have been using it a few nights and week, only in the PM, and I always mix it with other oils but I’m still almost halfway through my mini. I tend to find coconut oil drying on my skin and the coconut oil in this formula dries my skin out too. I have to mix it with another oil like Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil or Biossance 100% Squalane Oil 3.3 oz/ 100 mL. The scent isn’t my favorite but it isn’t enough to really bother me, it’s similar to their Blue Tansy mask.

Review for: 05 more...
First of all, I don’t think this should be called a “blemish defying formula” - I have very acne prone skin that breaks out from silicones, so this silicone free formula seemed wonderful, but it’s sooooo heavily fragranced (and like a grandma’s perfume no less) that I still break out after I wear it. I’m really sad that it breaks me out because it’s absolutely amazing in every other way - works extremely well as a concealer or foundation, flexible from sheer to full coverage, wears well for at least 12 hours, silicone free, and has olive shades! I have a light skin tone with neutral olive undertones and SX05 is the best shade match I have ever found! SX03 looks like it might be my mid-winter shade, but I haven’t tried that one yet. I usually wear this as a foundation for special events or when I know photos will be taken and I apply a few drops of an oil to my face at the end of my skincare routine and then I dab small amounts of this over my face and blend in with my SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Mini Flawless Airbrush #56.5.

Review for: Herb more...
I recently got this in Herb to try because I love olive green shades, but I have olive undertones in my skin so olive eyeshadows tend to end up looking brown on. I have worn this a few times and it hold up to daily wear without a primer fairly well - a little color fading at the end of the day and only a tiny amount of creasing. Because of the shade I have being much darker than the others, I wanted to blend the edges but keep the shadow on my lid pigmented. I had a really hard time with this and have tried various brushes and my fingers and the only options are to leave it unblended or blend it out, but lose a lot of the olive tones. I was hoping for a shadow that would be quick and easy to apply, but Herb isn’t. In the future I’ll use it by blending a matte brown shadow through my crease and then apply this to my lid without any blending. I like the packaging and how it is an alternative to cream shadows that come in glass jars, which dry out very quickly. The issues I have with this product seem to be exclusive the the shade I chose because the others are more sheer. I also think that the price is a little steep for these, $18, but that’s subjective. I don’t hate this, but I didn’t find it to be super quick and easy to apply like it is marketed as being
Review for SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Mini Flawless Light Powder Brush #50.5 - 4 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 5
Sephora PRO brushes are my absolute favorites, but I find the handles awkwardly long (I know it's intentional for makeup artists, but I am not one) so whenever they release minis I pick them up quickly before they sell out. This brush is no different than all of the others in the line - the quality is top notch and they hold up to daily use and washing without a problem. The brush is super soft and easy to use for setting powder, powder foundation, bronzer, or to blend blush or contour out. While this brush is a "mini" it is very close in size (both brush head size and handle length) to my full size ELF flawless face powder brush. Overall, I can't recommend this highly enough and I've used it every day since I got it

Review for Farmacy Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum with Echinacea GreenEnvy™ - 4 months ago

I've had this for about 6 weeks and I'm loving it! It is a great chemical exfoliator that really does leave you with a glow the next morning. I like that I don't have to use a moisturizer or oil with it because it's moisturizing on its own. People have said they hate the smell of it, but it smells very similar to their Honey Potion, if you're familiar with that. I don't find that it tingles or burns, but I use acids all the time and I have very rarely experienced that. It is a very intense exfoliator, so I suggest starting out very slowly if you aren't an experienced acid user. If you have sensitive skin or rosacea I would be careful about trying this because it does have ginger and other potential irritants. I have also used Drunk Elephant's TLC Framboos and Babyfacial and it is most similar to TLC Framboos. It won't replace Framboos for me (I use that one when I want to be more gentle on my skin) but it is a nice similar product at a lower price point for those that can't afford Framboos.

Review for Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder - 4 months ago

I finally went ahead and bought this powder after being curious about it for years. It is absolutely gorgeous and no supposed dupes really get it right. It truly does make your skin look flawless and so radiant - it's like the powder version of my favorite foundation, Laura Mercier Candleglow. The only downsides are that it doesn't last very well on my skin throughout the day and the silicones in it can break me out, so I have to be careful about only applying to my cheekbones where I never breakout.

Review for MILK MAKEUP KUSH High Volume Mascara - 4 months ago

I'd give this 2.5 stars if I could. Overall, I personally don't like this mascara. The brush is very large and hard to maneuver which ends up with me getting mascara gobs all over the place. My lashes are sparse, short, and very straight. This mascara doesn't hold a curl at all and tends to clump lashes together. It does give volume, but the overall effect is very spider lash-y. The mascara's fibers do give some length, but they also have a tendency to sometimes fall off and into my eyes during the day. I know a lot of people find that this mascara flakes and smudges all over the place. I have only ever had this issue with one mascara before (Too Faced's Better Than Sex) but even I had an issue with a grey shadow ending up under my eyes by the end of the day as a result of flaking/smudging. I'll use up the tube that I have, but I'm glad I only have a mini. In the future I'll stick to my Maybelline Total Temptation Waterproof for a strong curl and just as much volume for a much lower price.
