Slightly crazy make up junkie who low key drives her friends and family insane with hours spend in beauty stores swatching and trying new things. I am a full time swim instructor, and I live in New York where the trends are always changing so I'm always switching it up. Here are my many opinions!
I had been trying this foundation out for the past 30 days in order to give it the most fair shot I could. I tried all different primers under it and all different setting sprays on top- sometimes even none at all. I have to say, the application of this foundation was consistently difficult. I found the product very hard to blend and set to not be streaky or separate within a matter of minutes (and I do not have particularly oily skin), the coverage is a nice medium cover and once I had put in the work to get it on it did look relatively nice. I just believe that this foundation doesn't mesh well for me or my skin type and I will not continue to try to make it work, thats not to say that it won't work better for someone with a different skin type, as it is a really nice natural finish.
I am giving this product 2 stars, because I will admit that it does feel nice as a skincare product and is quite soothing as a first step after cleansing. That aside, I don't feel like this product has a purpose much outside of what I stated. I think it is glorified scented water that is much too expensive for what it is. I will say that it does have nice packaging and I am a fan of several other Caudalie products, but this one just doesn't do much for me. I will continue to use it but will not repurchase.
If I could give this little palette more than 5 stars I would! I've looked at Natasha Denona eyeshadow products for so long and I was always apprehensive because they seem extremely over priced. But let me tell you these eyeshadows are the perfect example of high price high quality. All of the shades in this particular palette are extremely creamy and pigmented (even the one matte shade) and the organization of tones is really complimentary and beautiful. They all go together to make gorgeous looks on the eyes and I do not regret splurging on this product at all! I will be trying more Natasha Denona products in the very near future!
I wear this in the shade 102, which I thought would be right for me since I am pale complected with warmer undertones. Unfortunately the shade isn't a good match (maybe the first shade would suit me better) as it definitely oxidizes to a salmon tone, which is why I hadn't given this foundation 5 stars. All shade comments aside I actually really did enjoy the formula, since it is a matte foundation I knew to work and blend in sections to avoid any premature drying and this method worked really well for me! This product definitely sets and lasts me all day, I also noticed it did a pretty decent job at keeping a lot of my oils at bay. All around great drugstore foundation, just not the right shade for me.
This bronzer is really pretty and honestly the range of bronzers and options Too Faced has out is really unique and it makes it quite easy to find out that suits your skin tone or desired effect. This one in the shade sun bunny is really nice and might be one of my favorites! It has two different sides (both on the more shimmery/ shiny side) one lighter, and one a darker more warm toned. I usually just swirl both together for a very warm luminous bronze tone, which I enjoy most in the warmer months! (it is very reminiscent of a tan). High quality product with gorgeous gold packaging!
I will be completely honest and say the initial reason I bought this moisturizer was the packaging-- it's beautiful! I do enjoy several of Dr. Jart's products so I figured this couldn't be a complete miss for me. I am pleasantly surprised, although, to find that this is a new favorite of mine. I currently have normal skin with some oiliness in the t-zone that seems to develop throughout the day. This moisturizer does a great job at really balancing out my skin and maintaining a moisture level that isn't "too much". The consistency is the coolest selling point of this product, it comes out as a white gel, but as soon as you start rubbing it into the skin it completely transforms into a "watery" consistency and it soaks in so nicely! My one gripe is that the lid doesn't seem to lock closed tightly enough to where I would be comfortable bringing it with me when traveling. Otherwise this is amazing and definitely a must try!!
I bought this in a minis pack along with some other Erborian products because I was skeptical to its effectiveness. Not only was I incredibly wrong to be skeptical at all, I now know that I have absolutely found a holy grail product. The consistency is that of a liquid (bi-phase) so it needs to be shaken before application. I usually apply very little by wetting my fingers and patting it into the skin in my t-zone. This product keeps me matte under a full face of makeup for my long 15 hour days, and I'm amazed. The best part though? THE SMELL. It smells like expensive skincare, very fresh.
These are really awesome, I own the shades "Namaste" (light nude with a subtle pink undertone), and "So fetch" (a bright poppy pink), and these little lippies definitely challenge the traditional idea of a liquid lipstick (super drying or accentuates lines). The packaging is nothing special but the formula is truly unique. These apply very smoothly and have a thick mousse-like texture, and are FULLY opaque in one thin layer. I recommend always applying these in a thinner layer because they never fully dry down and can move around a little bit when eating, but applying thinner really helps with this issue. Despite never fully drying down they do look completely matte on the lips and truly beautiful! Non-drying and smell great.
While I don't feel like this highlight/ blush topper doesn't live up to the impeccable quality of the other BECCA highlights, it is still nonetheless gorgeous. When I first received this in the mail I opened it up and was let down, as it looked too dark for my paler skin tone in the pan. But boy I was I wrong, this isn't too dark for me at all. I find it to apply gorgeously as a bright white gold with pinky undertones (and not too pink or icy by any sense) and after I apply this is sticks around nicely all day. The packaging is STUNNING. I knocked off one star only because there is a big of powdery kick up when dipping your brush into the pan, which isn't typical of most Becca products but for some reason is with rose quartz...
Talk about hidden gem at the drug store... oh my god this is really amazing and high quality for it's price point. It looks quite dark and pretty matte in the pan, but let me assure you it is not either of those things. It applies very smoothy and is not chunky or glittery at all, incredibly brightening and gorgeous. I would say that this powder is somewhere in-between a natural highlight and a BAM in your face kind of highlight, and I have found it is very buildable without getting too powdery looking. I took away one star only because of the powder kick up when dipping your brush in the pan, my only complaint is that it could get a little messy at times.
