Hi, my name is Katie, and I am the communications manager of a children's charity in St. Louis, Missouri. I live with my husband, who is a radiology resident physician. We have a beautiful daughter, Layla, and a black and white kitty named Bo. In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with friends and family; shopping online; decorating and redecorating my house; reading magazines, blogs and novels; and (slowly but surely) teaching myself to cook. And with the cooking comes the need for yoga and barre classes, which I also enjoy. I also love to travel and explore new places.
My husband has high cholesterol and his dietician suggested adding nuts into his diet to help. He now eats a handful of cashews almost every day, and it did end up helping (along with other diet changes and more regular exercise). I prefer Planters, but it is more expensive than the grocery store brand.
These are a go-to for me when I'm entertaining friends. I serve pita chips and vegetables with hummus as a snack/appetizer, and it's always a hit. Stacy's are my favorite type of pita chips available at my grocery store. My only complaint is that sometimes 1/3 of the chips or so are broken into small pieces at the bottom of the bag.
This is my favorite face wash that I've found in a long time. It is so soothing yet still helps prevent breakouts, something that is very difficult to find. I also find the scent pleasing unlike many other acne treatment cleansers. I would definitely recommend this to a friend who struggles with redness and occasional breakouts.
I haven't noticed a big difference in my under-eye region or the fine lines around my eyes since using this product. I think for the price, the results should be a bit better. I do like that it is gentle and doesn't irritate sensitive skin. I will continue using to see if there are any improvements after more use.
This is my absolute favorite hand soap. I like the foaming kind for the kitchen and the regular liquid kind for the bathroom. I always get compliments on this soap when I have guests over. It's very reasonable for the quality.
I have extremely dry skin, borderline eczema, and this is the only lotion I have found that keeps my skin moisturized. I use it every morning and sometimes in the evening - have been doing so for a number of years. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from dry skin. It's great everywhere except my hands. I work with immune-suppressed children and wash my hands many times a day, and even using this lotion they dry out. Otherwise, it's great.
I purchased this body scrub to exfoliate prior to self-tanning, and it worked well. It is a little rough and leaves your skin a bit red, but I know that is what it's supposed to do. I do like using St. Ive's products because the exfoliants are natural, which is important to me and the environment. It's also paraben-free, which is a huge plus. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
