I'm a casual makeup/skincare fan transitioning to cruelty-free makeup and skincare. I love trying out new products and watching Youtube videos! I enjoy posting my product reviews here on Influenster & Amazon.
After hearing about the problems associated with alcohol-based mouthwashes I picked this up. It's definitely got an odd aftertaste, but my mouth feels very fresh afterwards. I use mouthwash more than 3 times a day, and knowing I am using a safe one is important to me. Though it does taste a little weird, I dilute it a bit and it makes it easier to use. Great choice for cruelty-free consumers too!
I like using this before I apply mascara and any brow products to just groom before my makeup routine. This is 100x better than snagging the free little tester ones at stores, but I do wish it was a bit softer. It feels a bit harsh when I run them through my brows if I'm not very gentle when using it.
Been looking for an affordable cruelty-free hairbrush and, after some researching, decided on this one. I really like Revlon's signature paddle brush and I believe this is an identical cruelty free version. It's a great brush for daily use, and I highly recommend Ecotools for hair (and makeup) brushes!
It's a great gentle cleanser for all face types and it lathers SO WELL. The quality is great! This is made by Shiseido. It gets nice and sudsy so you feel fresh and clean. When I was in Shanghai I used it daily and it successfully removed the thin layer of nasty pollution/smog I felt at the end of each day. It's never really helped me with my acne much but it is refreshing and cleans my face well! I did find another cleanser I liked better, but I continue to use it occasionally when I need an extra (but gentle) cleansing.
Nice for a splurge, but didn't find it to be any better than alba botanica or aveeno. The smell is very fragrant but found it to be a bit oily for me preference. It's my first Lush product, overall the quality is great but for the price I won't replace my current lotion with it. I'll say it's definitely a great gift for anyone in your life though!
...I have a confession- I actually use this on my feet. I have callouses on my feet that are very dry and uncomfortable, but before sleeping I slather this on my feet, throw socks on, and the next morning my feet are much softer. I like using this in wintertime, I really notice a difference. The smell's weird, it's a little greasy, but to me I'll put up with it because of its effectiveness.
I don't exactly use this for my cuticles, more for the sides of my nails. I have a bad habit of picking it off when I'm stressed out, and this stuff repairs all the damage. I usually put it on right before bed and the next day it looks and feels significantly better. Very healing and feels good on and the container lasts a long time!
Jack-of-all-trades product for all skin types (including sensitive!). Really great for anything, from hair to face to skin! I used it as a standalone face moisturizer for about two weeks and didn't see any mind-blowing results, so I use it now as a sleeping mask (it's great!). I also now use it anytime I need extra moisture beyond my regular daily routine. Keep a tub in your arsenal, it'll always come in handy!
I found an online review about this saying it helped their hormonal acne, so I gave it a shot because I've been desperate for a few years to get some relief. I've been using it for about 6 weeks and I am seeing results! Monthly, I get hormonal cystic acne around my jaw line (about 10-12 painful cystic acne pimples). This month, only three! 3! I was shocked. I use it twice daily after cleansing and wait about 15 minutes before applying moisturizer. Overall I've also experienced fewer breakouts throughout the month by using this product.
I've seen these around Walmart before too for a better deal, but can't vouch on them and their quality. I bought this Sephora one about a year ago and it's done *wonders* for my skin and my wallet! It really does help create a rich lather for my cleansers, which helps me use less (while fully cleaning my face). It doesn't exfoliate, so it's gentle for daily use. I suction it to the inside of sink and it dries quickly. Don't know what I'd do without this!
