Getting back to wearing make-up. However, finding makeup that doesn't highlight flaws is hard to find, we ladies of a certain age need to help each other to find that certain make-up. Oh, did I mention I'm English & I protect my skin from the sun!!! So fewer wrinkles, I never tan. I am obsessed with skin care. I may not have always worn makeup but you better believe I have ALWAYS used skin care. Love perfumes, have 3-5 on the go depending on my mood, things like Organza, Opium, Caleche and my current favorites are Alien & My Burberry. I have many hobbies including travel, having also lived in a couple of places overseas, the theater, books, cooking & baking from scratch with locally sourced food, some crafts like centerpieces & genealogy to name but a few. I also keep a journal for goals for self, travel, exercise etc. I love U-tube, I follow quite a few crafters, husky owners & haul videos. I am also obsessed with Ibotta it makes life so easy.
We tend to use Hertz when travelling. Their cars are reliable, clean & well maintained. If you do breakdown, they have a well posted number to call for help. We ended up with a flat in England. We called the displayed phone number. The English AA was there to assist us very quickly, they showed us the way to a garage to have the wheel replaced. Stayed till they were sure we were taken care of. We were back on the road with the hour. You cannot beat service like this. Peace of mind is paramount whilst abroad.
Their clothing products are good quality. I find they last for ever, if you take care of them. I love their long sleeve tee like tops. I have a RL money purse that has become softer & softer with use. Other than the beautiful patina it is as good as new.
This should be a great cookie, chocolate shortbread with mint coated in chocolate. The shortbread and mint work but the chocolate reminds me of old fashioned cooking chocolate. It has no creaminess to it at all. It even looks unappetizing with a slightly white tinge to it. Made me wonder where they had been stored.
This cookie is a favourite but it is not too healthy to say the least. It does however satisfy your caramel, chocolate cravings. With a crisp short bread on the bottom. It is a melt in the mouth treat.
We took our first journey on the bus from DC to NY. It was very comfortable. We paid the extra money ($40 pp) on the way to NY, so we were more than comfortable. However, the seats were leather & I kept slipping. There was a foot rest which helped somewhat. We took breakfast & coffee with us on the bus. They do not stop. On the way back we arrived at the bus stop early. They allowed us to get on the earlier bus, once everyone who was booked was accommodated. It was only $20 pp on the way back. There was not much leg room. The foot rest was impossible to use. But for a 4 hour journey I can put up with anything. It is a great way to travel between NY & DC.
We flew this airline back from RSA to London. It was a night flight. I would say this is an adequate airline. The staff were friendly enough. I found they did not walk round with drinks in the night for those like myself who can't sleep. The food was pretty standard. Not sure I would chose this airline again.
I have used Zulilly for years. I loved the unexpected items you would see. The products used to be fairly good quality. Recently I ordered a yellow oil jar, discovered it was made in China not Italy or Portugal. Threw it out. Don't trust it to be lead free. Word of caution. Order 1 item. Then place any additional items, to get free shipping. It is a pain I know. Here's the deal you receive free shipping for 24 hours after you have placed an order. I do find children's clothes & toys to be good quality.
The worst ordered Harry & David pears to have delivered. The code they gave me did not work. Took them over 24 hours to get back to me. They still haven't resolved my issue. Have ordered products from them before. But I will NOT be doing this, again any time soon. They send the most childish email supposedly using puns, not impressive at all. They used to have great service. A couple of times I have discovered I can get the product for the same price from the vendor.
Went into purchase highlighter contour products just before NYE. Walked through their make up department no assistants available. Found 2 who were so busy chatting they couldn't be bothered to talk to me. Asked to see their contour products I was standing by Lancome, I quote, We don't sell these" I looked at her incredulously. I walked away before I became rude. I remembered my young Utube friend talked about Sephora. Went to the one in JCPENNEY not only did I find what I wanted but the young lady did a mini tutorial. Macys customer service was none existent, not the first time I have come across this in their store. I will not be going back there any time soon for make up.
