I love everything about this gloss except for the fact that it wears off pretty quickly. It doesn’t claim to be super long-lasting though, I just love the color and feel so much that I wish I could keep it on forever without having to reapply! I have a sampler size of Goals, which is a really cute peachy pink color (not exactly a rosy nude imo). The color is really like a paint, it looks beautiful and is super shiny. This is also one of few lip products that actually hydrates my lips—not as well as a lip balm, but I wouldn’t expect that from a lip color anyway. The gloss also has a pleasant smell, which I really appreciate. I’m super tempted to invest in the full-sized product because of how much I like this color and formula for everyday wear!
Smirnoff is so smooth and it's pretty fairly priced. I bought No. 21 specifically to make Moscow Mules and it's perfect for mixing. It's carried at pretty much every liquor store so it's always available which is a plus!
This is a drugstore palette that is pretty cheap and has a lot of bold colors, so of course some of them are better than others. The shimmery ones have the best pigment payoff, while the matte ones are not so good. They just require a little more buildup--I use the pink and purple ones all the time but I have to really lay it on thick! I haven't had any problems blending the colors, although of course the warmer colors look better together than the random lime green (which I used as an accent to the beautiful turquoise like ONCE I think) and more blue shades. Pictured are a few different looks using only shadows from this palette with Maybelline Line Stiletto® Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner and wet n wild Lash Renegade Mascara.
I absolutely love NYX's Simply Vamp lip cream but the colors are super dark, so I was excited to try the Simply Red line. I am not disappointed--the formula is soft and not drying so it's one of few super pigmented lip products I don't have to put lip balm under! I also love that it's shaped like a crayon, pretty much nixing the need for a lip liner. This is definitely my new go-to for a beautiful classic red lip.
Really wonderful seasonal beer! I'm a huge fan of Shiner's Ruby Redbird and this is a good beer to throw in to mix it up during wintertime. I really love fruitier beers and this one is strongly peachy, and I can definitely taste the pecan as well. It has a bitter aftertaste and is a little heavy, which makes it difficult for me to want to drink more than two bottles, but that's absolutely fine by me.
This is the perfect product for low-maintenance looks that pop, or for when your lips are chapped but you still want a good bit of color on your lips. This balm is super moisturizing and smells amazing, and tints your lips a wonderful pink-berry color and leaves a glossy shine. Sometimes I use clear lip liner to reign in the color and moisture, but that isn't super necessary if you use only a thin layer of product. My only complaint is that this balm is so soft (sometimes it would smush onto my lips too thickly) and is prone to melting if you keep it in a warm place. That's totally avoidable if you're careful though! Overall, amazing tinted balm.
My favorite drink. I'm trying to cut down on soda (I'm not gonna have a fast metabolism forever, lol) and I hate coffee, and Pomegranate Blue Honest Tea is my favorite less-sugary drink alternative. This variety is caffeine-free, which is kind of a bummer, but I'm trying to lower my caffeine tolerance anyway. The main feature of this tea is its wonderful fruity taste--it's basically a juice! It's delicious and uses all-natural, organic ingredients so I feel good about drinking it. I'm lucky that my university stocks Honest Tea at all its convenience stores so I get to treat myself to yummy teas often.
I have oily, acne-prone skin and this is the best full-coverage foundation I can get for my skin type at a drugstore, imo. Medicated makeup for acne with salicylic acid (like from Neutrogena, Almay) dries my skin and makes my acne worse, so I've long been on the lookout for a good foundation that doesn't cause breakouts while not drying me out, and I've finally found it! I use it over a cheap matte primer to minimize shine--it's also worth noting that I haven't ever been satisfied with a matte foundation and I'm loving the combo of matte primer with a natural-finish foundation. I set the foundation with an ivory powder after contouring and adding blush, and I'm good to go for the entire day! I wouldn't go so far as to say the foundation has IMPROVED my skin, but compared to other products that mess with my skin's oil and moisture levels and cause breakouts, this is a great find. Like with any product when you have acne-prone skin, you have to be sure to completely wash off the foundation, tone, and moisturize your skin each night (and I don't recommend wearing foundation generally for longer than 12 hours!), but if you incorporate this foundation into a good routine, it's a win. I haven't had any additional breakouts on my face, my skin isn't dried out or made too oily after wearing this foundation all day, and I am super happy!
The scent of this body wash is fabulous, and I love the trend of using natural oils in body washes and lotions. However, I have very acne-prone skin, and this soap definitely left my skin oily instead of fresh. I have noticed my skin breaking out in the usual places (back, shoulders) as well as new places (on my thighs, why!) since using this soap, so I'm switching to one that might be better for my skin. I could see this being better for those with normal to dry skin though--it smells great, and you can't beat the price.
