I recently purchased the Tarte Shape Tape foundation and I am still on the fence about it. I have normal skin, but my T-zone tends to be dry and this foundation emphasized that so badly. I love matte foundations, and I usually have no problem with them on my skin, but this one was horrible. That being said, the second time I tried the product I applied a thick moisturizer instead of a primer and it helped tremendously. I have read multiple reviews saying that this foundation is better without a primer and I agree. The best part about this foundation is that it is FULL coverage. It lasts a decent amount of time, but things start to go bad after about 6-8 hours. From a distance, you will look flawless for a full 12 hours, no doubt about it. But once you see your skin up close it will look horrendous. The foundation looked like it was sitting on top of my skin. It was caked around my nose and between my brows. That being said... If you have normal-oily skin, this product will be great for you, though I would still recommend passing on the primer. I will be returning this to try the moisturizing version, and hopefully will get better results from that.
I would like to start by thanking Maybelline Cosmetics and Influenster for the complimentary lippies. However, these lipsticks were not my favorite. They are very good, but the smell is horrible and it takes a long time (like hours) for the smell to go away. It smells like there is a strong chemical odor and they tried covering it up with a sweet smell and to me it smells likes candy themed perfume that no one should own after middle school. The product is very good besides the smell. It is VERY pigmented and it is not subtle at all, so if you don't love a bold lip, these are not for you. The formula does stay tacky to the touch, but it only transfers on the very inner corners of my lips. It is not drying on the lips at all and it lasts ALL DAY LONG. The only negative thing I can find in this product is the scent, so if that doesn't bother you I would highly suggest this product!
This was a pretty average product for me, it didn't do anything spectacular but it was just as good as any other that I have tried. It did, however, smell pretty good if you are in to very sweet smelling products. Overall I would recommend it to anyone looking for a product like this.
This dry shampoo smells amazing! And with the different colors, it gives you a way to prevent those horrible white patches that come with some dry shampoos. I have been using this for a couple of years and nothing compares for the price.
I love this facial spray to help moisturizer my face in the morning before I put on makeup. It is really gentle on the skin and smells amazing. To me it seems like a very high end product and can be bought for under 10 dollars! I don't recommend using it to set your makeup, but I do use it like a mixing medium for glittery eyeshadows that need a little help. It's a great product that I highly recommend.
This toothpaste is great for those of us who battle yellowing teeth constantly. I bought this thinking it may help a little and was pleasantly surprised when it helped a lot more than expected. I will tell you that it is not going to give you the same effect as a professional whitening, but for 4 dollars it helps a good bit. I have continued to use it and have bought it multiple times, and I really like the results.
This is by far my favorite athletic-ware brand. I absolutely love their running shorts and tennis shoes. They can get kinda pricey but as long as you know how to find good deals you honestly cannot beat this brand. The clothes fit true to size usually and last a long time, and they come in so many fun patterns and colors. I will continue to shop here until I find something that remotely compares.
This liner goes on so smooth. You have to apply little to no pressure to get great color payoff. I have blue eyes and got the black/navy color. I do love the pencil but I hate the dual ended stick because I never really use any color eyeliner but black. I really love this product and would recommend it to anyone who tightlines or prefers pencil liners over liquid. That being said. This liner is best for tightlining or a smoky look with smudged liner. Do not expect to get the same sharp effect as a liquid liner with this. I received mine in a voxbox thanks to Influenster but I will probably buy it again.
There are two types of expensive makeup: high end, like MAC and NARS... and luxury, like Tom Ford or Charlotte Tilbury. This brand and this foundation fall into the luxury category and for the price tag of over 100 dollars, i expected it to be an absolute holy grail foundation. I was kinda disappointed with it. It is a very good foundation and I feel like it looks BEAUTIFUL on a lot of people, but for me it was not worth the money. I have very dry skin and the foundation seemed to just sit on top and did not absorb into my skin well, which made it kinda break up on my face and it looked very unnatural. It is still a good foundation and I will continue to play around with this because I paid so much for it, but I feel that there are high end and even drugstore products that are just as good if you know how to apply them.
