My name is Kaela. I am a cosmetology enthusiast, bookworm, foodie, fur-baby mom, all around nerd. I am a college student, but in my free time, I make videos for my YouTube channel, where I post an assortment of topics, such as reviews, story-times, makeup, books, and more.
What I love about this product is the scent. It doesn’t smell like cleaner! The scent of grapefruit is a bit strong, but it’s not overwhelming. It’s both the type of strong that would give you a headache (unless you are sensitive). I think it works as a durable cleaner, as well, especially for surfaces such as coffee tables, countertops, etc.
This is not the greatest smelling product; however, it smells a lot better than alternative options that are fulls of chemicals, like Lysol. It smells like mint with just a tiny hint of cleaner 😅 But I think it works well. I like to use it in my kitchen and bathroom after I scrub everything with the other Method cleaners I use (shower cleaner, bathroom, all purpose, etc.). Frankly, I think I use it more for peace of mind than anything but it’s a staple in my cleaning product collection.
I didn’t start using this product prior to developing stretch marks, I already had them for several years, so I can’t speak on how well this product is preventatively. However, I use it to keep stretch marks from getting worse and I like it a lot. It smells nice - a light, sweet scent - and the consistency is thick, absorbs quickly, and isn’t incredibly sticky.
Stupidly, I didn’t keep track of how long of time had passed when I started seeing results, but the redness and swelling did seem to calm down within hours. Not dramatically, but it didn’t seem like such an eye sore on my face 😂
When I initially found this product, I thought it could potentially be a decent and more affordable dupe for Smashbox's Photo Ready BB Water. Sadly, it was not. I can't stand how heavy most foundations feel on my face, so the idea of foundation "water" sounded great. I need a nice lightweight coverage as my skin is very dry, so I'm prone to caking and flaking. The formula is incredibly thin and hard to blend into the skin. It is also hard to build up which causes the coverage to be patchy. I applied moisturizer, primer, and this foundation to my face with a beauty blender at 6:45 AM and by 9:30, I was already seeing product separation around my nose. It was practically melting off my face and my skin usually drinks anything that touches it. If it provided better coverage, was easy to blend, and stayed put when set, then I could justify the price for the size. But you need quite a few drops to get even a light coverage and it's a small bottle, so the cons don't quite add up to the price point in my opinion. I love NYX's eye products, but I've sadly struck out with every face product I've tried.
This one is my favorite! It’s very fruity. Tastes a lot like green apples and pineapple but not overwhelming. It also doesn’t have that thick, chalky consistency some smoothies have (especially if there’s protein or kale mixed in).
I was a little hesitant to try this because I had purchased the brow drama sculpting mascara, a few months back, and wasn't pleased with its pigmentation. However, the pigmentation in this product was so much better than the mascara and the consistency wasn't bad either. It was a tad thicker than a typical powder or eyeshadow, but I simply used a spoolie to blend it out and it was fine. The one thing that I wasn't crazy about was the foam applicator. I think, if you're going for natural shaped, fuller brows, the applicator isn't much of an issue. But if you have thinner brows or if you're like me and you like to have a bit of an angle, it's not as easy as a brush to maneuver without making a mess. Aside from that, I think it's a good product for a great price. Thanks Maybelline!
