I use this product quite often and it does work well at keeping perspiration at bay but only for a couple of hours. You are suppose to apply at night and wash off in the morning during normal showering. I find that I will the start to perspire by lunchtime and need to get freshened up in the bathroom or if I’ve been on the train and walked to the office with a backpack I’ll be a little damp. I’m not a sweaty person either but I get self conscious with even the tiniest amount because of it gets in my clothes I feel yuck for the rest of the day unless I can discreetly get changed half way through the day.
To avoid those embarrassing and unsightly underarm sweat patches I wanted something that could absorb the sweat thus removing the wet patches which leads to nasty smells and reduced life in my shirts.
These pads actually stick to the skin so you don’t get the tell take bulk that there’s something on your underarm sleeve. These are designed to absorb the sweat at source so there is no transfer to the clothes.
These are not an antiperspirant so you need to use some before use. The leaflet says not to use a deodorant or antiperspirant but I opted for the night time application method which helps a lot.
I’m only giving 4 stars because some of the pads adhesive wasn’t that great so I found myself having to change more regularly. Also the price can work out quite high versus just using antiperspirant alone. I suppose it’s worth it for the confidence boost you get from not having sweat patches.
It doesn’t 100% stop odour unless you change regularly and use a body spray / perfume.
Just like the soap this is a non-harsh product which leaves the underarms feeling nice and soft. The only downside is it isn't a very good antiperspirant for people for sweat a little more than your average person but not as much as someone with hyperhidrosis.
I personally use the Baby Dove Rich Moisture Tip to Toe Wash as it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean. It is good for senstive skin and at a decent price tag (especially if you get it on offer). Best used with a good moisteriser afterwards.
I wasn’t all that impressed with these life changing lashes eyelash curlers. They didn’t add any curl to my lashes at all despite all the promotional videos o saw of them in action. The colour of the curlers are nice though in rose gold.
The product smells a bit weird but in a good way. At first I didn’t think I’d like it as it is quite a thickish cream but once you apply it sinks it nicely. No greasy residue feeling. My skin felt a little tight immediately afterwards but I woke up with much more improved skin. After one use the deep frown lines between my eyes looked a little more plumped up. Recommended to use 2-3 times a week I think I’ll use every night for a week then drop down to recommendation.
I really like this Real Techniques Sculpting Brush I bought it separately and not in a set. Although I’ve owned it for a while I’ve hardly used it. When I got a new foundation I found this brush really handy as a multi tool. The bristles and nice and soft too. You don’t need to add as much product as you would with some brushes.
I got this mascara because of the comb brush which would be easy to apply the mascara. I also picked brown so it would add subtle colour to my light lashes for the day time. The mascara irritates my eyes after only a couple of hours wear and I have to take it off. It didn’t add much oomph to my lashes either.
I’m a relatively new subscriber to the BirchboxUK monthly subscription. I was pleasantly surprised by the cute packaging this came in. A pink outer box and inside the product box. The August 2018 box I received was designed by the Etsy seller The Fox in the Attic. I received 7 trial sized products that I will be using and reviewing over the coming weeks.
