Review for: The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion more...
This is by far the favorite product I'm currently using. I've tried so many different face washes, used a Clarisonic brush, and used promising products, but nothing has worked like this lotion. It was recommended to me by my best friend who swore that it stopped her acne. I wasn't convinced, but figured the $20 a bottle costs was a pretty low investment compared to other kits on the market. I didn't expect to get anything out of it and actually hated it at first. The tea tree scent is pretty strong and was very negative for me at first, but after a couple days I got used to the tea tree scent, which I hadn't been exposed to much before.
This product has now practically eliminated my acne. The lotion has faded most blemishes and scars on my face, but with regular use doesn't allow for the terrible acne I was getting previously. After a couple days of not using this product my acne will always return. I kick myself for forgetting to use it and then get back into the routine with the acne disappearing once again. Buy this! It's worth every penny.
I have combination skin that leans to the oily side. After a long day, my foundation usually separates and feels more like a paint. Mac's Studio Fix gives the full coverage that I desire, but lasts all day without separating. Even after a day of flying, where I usually feel especially gross, I feel put together when using Mac's foundation. The Studio Fix foundations does last for a shorter amount of time than the Pro Longwear foundation, but I've not seen too much of a difference, especially considering how much extra coverage I'd get. I also always assumed Mac was out of my price range due to what other people have said. I have actually found Mac foundations to be cheaper than the other products I was using. When at the store, just be assertive and asked to be color matched or have your whole face done in the foundation. Getting the foundation done all over will make you fall in love with it if you haven't already.
I got this for free as part of the Breezy Voxbox, but love it! I never would have tried it before the Breezy Voxbox, but will definitely keep it in mind when I'm buying products in the future. This really helps keep summertime heels in control between foot treatments, although it won't remove calluses completely on it's own - only soften them temporarily. It also works as a great moisturizer in other intensely dry places like knees and elbows.
This is excellent for oily skin! However, it's likely to not be effective for non-oily skin types. I get extra oily skin and really like this because it combats the oil and actually leaves my face feeling dry. Strangely, the dry sensation is so much better than feeling all the oil on your face. I do not use this every single day because it is and intense cleaner, but it works well to alternate with a less intensive cleanser or facial wipes. A little bit of product goes a long way in this case. It's definitely a product worth the money.
This foundation was totally incompatible with my skin type. By the end of the day, this rubs off like paint on my hands and clothes. It's a 24 hour foundation, but definitely does not last that long for me. It does have very coverage and likely works well with dry to normal skin, but does not work with oil.
This stuff works like a dream. I have oily skin and my makeup usually comes off on my hands like paint by the end of the day. This stuff lasts all day and doesn't rub off easily with normal day wear. It has excellent coverage and doesn't make me break out at all. It definitely needs to be applied using a brush for even full coverage. One bottle lasted me more than four months, while I wasn't using it sparingly.
I was a little skeptical about this when the representative at Sephora recommended it to me. I was looking for a face mask that would absorb oil and never found anything that has the effect that this has. When used as a mask, this can be drying but absolutely gets rid of the extra oil on your face. As a cleanser, this works almost as well but is a little less drying. I used it as a cleanser before bed and woke up with a face that still felt clean and oil free which isn't my norm. When using it as a mask it has a little bit of a burning sensation, but it wasn't anything that couldn't be tolerated. I was concerned because I have skin that is easily irritated, but I can say nothing but good things about this product. It immediately made blemishes less noticeable and my foundation applies much smoother than before I used this product.
I got this mascara for free in the Flawless Voxbox. The positive part of this mascara is that the formula is okay even on my sensitive eyes. Mascaras have a tendency to make my eyes itch, but this one didn't do that.
However, this mascara's brush was terrible overall. I couldn't get it to work and it just ended up making my eyelashes clump together. I definitely will not be buying this in the future and would not recommend it to anyone, unless you're willing to use an unmatched brush.
This is my favorite scrub! I love how exfoliating it is and it smells great! The only drawback to this scrub is that it is really messy. I prefer to only use it in showers that have a hose attachment so that I can easily spray down the shower and clean the coffee grounds off the wall. Always zip the resealable bag back up though. If you don't it will dry out and not be as nice to use.
