Excellent value. The nails are super easy to shape and polish. However, the glue that comes with them is awful! Barely stays on for a day. At these prices, though, it's simple to substitute a better bottle of glue. Be aware that the short length is still fairly long, and the "active" medium length is super sexy but very long (as in, long enough to make tasks like fastening a bra challenging). Can be trimmed and filed like natural nails if you need to lose some length after a special occasion.
Received this free from Influenster and I LOVE it. Absolutely awesome absorption. Lasts all day, even in a glacial office. Great under foundation. I had tried the old formula and think this one is even better. Great choice for dry skin!
Absolutely loving the Impress nail line. I was really nervous about press-on, but not only are they easier than the ones that need liquid glue, they stay on longer! You do need to have your natural nail extremely clean, and I've geard they don't wotk well on oily nails. But for my nails (dry, flaky, and impossible to grow due to hypothyroidism), these are ride or die. Enough in the box that you can opt in or out from the accent nail.
Some good and some bad on this one. The good: PTO is a genuinely unique color in eyeliner that has no dupes. It's gorgeous ringing both lash lines, and catches the light beautifully. But the formula could probably be improved; the eyeliner is very prone to breaking during application, which leads to waste. I like having the smudge tool on the liner, but once the actual tool came off in my hand with its cap.
Picked this up impulsively when it was on sale. Really beautiful gloss! Hydrating, not particularly sticky, with a striking level of iridescence. Will make a gorgeous weekend lip look as we move into summer.
Fantastic product for Korean-style skincare. Deep hydration, great base for the other steps of the routine. I've been hoarding my last bottle since Sephora stopped selling it; it looks like there's workable US distribution again. Assuming this mini is the same size as mine, it's an ample supply. I'd guess a couple months of daily use.
Best contour in the drugstore for fair skin, and among the best overall. It's hard to find good cool-toned contours that work on porcelain complexions. Excellent neutral shade on the Fair contour. Easy application, can be blended easily and naturally even with fingers, nice highlight. Overall, a great value for money AND a practical on-the-run contour that's purse size and needs no special tools to put on. Love it!
I LOVE these new Shiseido palettes! Purse-sized with only the colors you need for one full eye look (we love our giant palettes, but commuters need a go-to that's smaller as well!), silky formula that stays on all day, even with hooded or oily lids, super-chic packaging. Kotto Street is a great, subtle daily nude for neutral or cool skins, with a flattering and unusual mushroom color story. Warm nudes are also available in the line. I also own Kaigan Street, whose cobalt blue pan really pops on lighter skins. Will probably get Platinum Street at some point...but I spent a LOT on makeup recently after the Black Mold Crisis! Need to wait a bit! Great value for money, with big pans.
I'm very pro-Subculture on this controversial palette. Admittedly I got it half off. However, it doesn't deserve its bad rep. The color range is striking, and a great choice for ladies who like the ABH formula but are too fair/cool to wear Modern Renaissance or Soft Glam.
The fallout issue: yes, when I applied with brush following a tutorial, there was tons of fallout and I had to clean up with remover before going out. (Gorgeous after that, though.) However, I think where this palette really shines is finger application. You get the color payoff without the fallout issue, and it goes on smoothly with fingers and smudges easily. So my take is that the fallout complaints come from using a product formulated more for fingers with brushes instead.
