Review for: Champagne Pearl
I’ve gone through just about every high-end lip
balm there is (between my chapped lip problem and how easy they are to get as free samples). But this one has officially won the Lip Healer Games now. I had a horrible red crack in my lower lip and I’d tried everything. A day with a thick coat of this slathered I’m healed it when nothing else could. There’s very little color, so I’m not sure there is a difference which shade you pick (I just grabbed an open sample). But it really heals.

The hype for this product is totally real. I first discovered it on a cruise which had an open tester in the gift shop and I used it every day for a week (age 32 with horrible dry skin from undiagnosed thyroid disease). I had never experienced such soft, beautiful, and comfortable skin in my life, despite winter sea air! It's been a few years until it came into my price range as a realistic buy, but, especially if you suffer from severe dry skin, it is absolutely worth it.

Fantastic blades for both men and women. Closest leg shave I’ve ever had, and very affordable. Work great on my husband too, who shaves daily including whole scalp. Resist the Pink Tax and just buy a good blade even if it’s marketed to men! Hair is hair.

My husband switched to this when Art of Shaving was out of stock. He likes it and it gives a smooth shave (he shaves his head too so he needs a great cream). But he does say he likes Art of Shaving better.

If your hair is coarse at all this won’t do anything but irritate your skin and smell bad. Maybe it works on peach fuzz, but serious leg hair, not a chance.

Review for Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X Fuchsia - 3 weeks, 3 days ago
Two words of warning: First, this will only work if you have the perfect skin and hair type for laser. I’m talking that your skin looks like Snow White and your body hair...looks like it fell off a natural bristle brush. A black one.

Second, it HURTS. I’m pretty sure all the settings below 5 are just training wheels to get you to learn how to keep a steady hand. You have to keep it still for two beeps per spot, and if you flinch, you get the pain AND have to do it over. But I find it easier to tolerate the pain if I control it than at a med spa with someone else doing it.

Disclaimers aside, if you are one of those unfortunates with porcelain skin AND body hair like black wire, this will change your life. Since chin and lip hair get worse as you age, owning the laser is a game-changer and saves so much money over the long run. Legs take a ton of patience (expect to spend most of a day per leg treatment including all the recharging), but with patience it makes a huge difference to legs. Haven’t managed good results on underarms yet, but you can only get it in there at a really weird angle that makes your wrist hurt so I doubt I’ve tried hard enough.

I wish with all my heart that this had already been invented when I was 16 and in teasing hell over my mustache.

Not that close of a shave, and you’re paying major Pink Tax. And it smells really fake-sweet. Yuck.

It’s sunscreen. It works. It’s really cheap. That’s all I ask of everyday non-swimming body sunscreen while living in Florida.

Use with great care if your hair is fine. Great for taming frizz in TINY amounts, but really easy to cross the line into “dunked head in Crisco” with this hair type.

WAY too heavy as a hair oil unless you have thick curls and thick strands. But it works well as an overnight scalp oil for dry scalp or psoriasis.
