Hi. My name is Jody and I live in a small town approximately 65 miles from the Gulf coast. I am owned by a sassy cat named Maximus Caticus (aka Max) and a dachshund named Chip. I was born in Alaska but grew up in the South. My husband and I have two children (ages 30 & 27) and we will celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary in December. I'm still hopefully waiting to become a grandmother one day.
Nasoya Organic Extra Firm tofu is so easy to use. I drain it and press it and cube it for stir fry. It holds its shape well and absorbs the flavors of tamarind and spice. I usually make a broccoli, tofu, toasted walnut stir fry with it. There are never any left overs.
I use Peter Pan Creamy Peanut Butter as a treat for my puppy, Mia. I smear some inside her Kong chew toy and it keeps her busy and satisfied. My son loves Peter Pan Creamy Peanut Butter with grape jelly or mixed with honey and spread on white bread. My husband uses it to make peanut butter cookies (which he shares with his sisters and nieces & nephews). Everyone has had their own jar with their name clearly marked.
Philadelphia Whipped Cream Cheese Spread is so easy to spread. It goes on bagels and bread so much easier than other types of cream cheese. It’s a little more expensive than regular cream cheese but it is so worth it! I would recommend this product.
Old El Paso hard and soft taco kit is handy when we’re pressed for time. The kit is a good price for the value. We always add a lot of lettuce and tomatoes and sometimes radishes and cilantro. This is a quick and very easy kit to prepare. Even our young niece and nephew help with preparation! I would recommend this kit.
Heinz Simply Ketchup is flavorful — not too salty or too sweet, though. I use it in my meatloaf topping recipe (my son’s favorite meal) and I serve it with fries. I tried to can my own ketchup one summer. This is the only type of ketchup my family uses.
Grey Poupon Dijon mustard is the closest I have gotten to Dijon mustard purchased while vacationing in France. I love the sharp bite of it. Typically we eat it with ham and cheese on a baguette and pair it with a glass of wine. I would (and have) recommended it to others.,
This is such a thick, creamy blue cheese dressing. I pair it with a simple salad, baked potato, and grilled steak. Marie’s Blue Cheese addressing is a bit pricier than other brands. But the quality of the product makes it worth it. I have bought this product several times in the past and will continue to buy it.
I use Newman’s Zesty Italian Dressing as a marinade for cut vegetables. I marinade the veggies for a couple hours and then grill or broil them. Sometimes I add a punch of garlic powder to the marinade.
Ken’s Chunky Blue Cheese dressing is my favorite dressing. I love the chunks of blue cheese in the creamy dressing. I serve it on salad but also use it as a dip for steak and for chicken buffalo wings. I buy Ken’s Chunky Blue Cheese dressing regularly and will continue to do so.
