Review for L'Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Rapid Reviver Deep Conditioner - 9 hours, 19 minutes ago

Purchased at: Walgreens
Been a fan of the the L'Oreal Paris Ellvive Extraordinary Oil line before they rebranded it to add "Elvive." Like I contacted their CS to be certain it was still the same line because the Elvive by L'Oreal Paris Extraordinary Oil Colour Protect 100ml is my #holygrail leave in treatment It was previously L'Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Treatment ..anyway, so I was excited to try this deep conditioner. I color my hair, but it is fine, so I don't do deep conditioning treatments like many, I pretty much concertate on my ends, slap on a shower cap and work it through a minute before I rinse . I used that method with this deep conditioner and my hair feels like silk! It did an excellent job sealing the frizz on my partner's long, thick, gray hair which is coarse by default.

Review for L.A. Colors High Shine Lipgloss - 1 week, 4 days ago

This super affordable lip gloss has been my go-to for about a year. I have it in well over ten colors. It has great shine, smooth not sticky and the color is pretty saturated.

Review for LA-Splash Cosmetics Art-ki-tekt (Waterproof) Slim Eyeliner - Chromate - 1 week, 4 days ago

Love this because it has a brush tip. I wish more eyeliner pens had this feature vs a felt tip. Goes on smoothly, doesn't skip, and most importantly it stays on pretty well.

Review for Ban Regular Original Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant - 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Wellness Guru Expert Level 1
Brand loyal, I am not, but I have used this for let's just say Madonna was at the top of the charts. My mom used it, and so did I. I have lapsed a few times. The first was when I thought I could be a cheapskate with my college freshman allowance and bought a brand no longer around. Rash for days. I have had samples of others that were OK, like I liked them ok, but I never bought them I even TRIED going with a natural brand. I didn't leave the house.. But I live in the Swear Belt of The US. From March Through October it is sticky and hot. What I have always nliked about BAN is bc it has always dried quick and clear. I have never had to fear the dreaded underarm crumb, I still have not had a sweat stain..ever. I have tried some noveau sprays, but they, unlike my trusted BAN roll-on burn when I shave. And lastly, if you forget to put it on, and you need to put it on under your shirt, you will not have a white mark. I think it comes in deodorant only, I have not tried it, but I might. The original scent is basically no scent. Even if you are used to solids give this a whirl. Great for travel
Review for NARS Pro Skin Smoothing Face Primer - 7 months, 3 weeks ago

Back when Nars started expanding beyond the big markets, but bf Sephora hit my city they had a tiny counter at the store where I sold fragrance. Every blue moon I'd cover the counter for the salesperson, and got to poke around the very new to me line. This was the first primer I had ever encountered. The Nars chick told me, "It will make your foundation look super smooth." I was still in the recovery from acne stage of my life and very self conscious. Working in a department store cosmetic department made it worse, though I soon learned it was really nothing to worry about. Everyone was just trying to make a living like myself. Anyway, she gave me a sample, told me how to use it, and from the first moment I understood. It was pretty spendy, so when first bought it I treated it like gold. There were no other primers in available to my knees and I saved it for my nights out, not even work. I still use it, as well as a few others, but this is my gold standard. A little goes a long way, is not drying, nor does it alter my foundation. I rarely wear any base in the morning summer months, but I can promise you it puts the "foundation," in foundation. Four stars bc it there are comparable primers at a lower price point. But if you can work it in to you makeup budget go for it

I love, love geraniums. They have a bit of sentimental value to me, as both my mom and grandma always had them on their porch. It is a difficult scent to find. I normally would have snubbed a higher price of a grocery store candle..if I am going to pay a premium, I'll get a luxe one or at least one that is more my design aesthetic . I had picked this up and put it back on the shelf numerous times at the store But, a year ago I was scrambling to prepare for a hurricane and this was one of two choices for delivery, so I decided to give two packs of two a it a go. Not disappointed when I first used it, but alas, the scent is not as potent as it once was, that happens, but I will say they burn evenly and slowly, so it was a good choice for a good emergency candle. I am curious to see if this line has any other geranium scented stuff, like dryer sheets.
Review for LA Colors High Shine Lipgloss, Irresistible, 1 Oz - 8 months ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
Been on a lip gloss kick this summer, just not the time for matte. L.A. Colors proves once again to be a quality product and an absolute bargain. I paid a whopping $2.99 for this at a beauty supply shop, and I saw it at another store in my area or $3.99, either way lots of color payoff and shine for the price. Stays on well, but note for you young chicks who have never worn gloss, don't expect it to stay on. And I mean any brand. Just stick it in your pocket for touch ups. I would have given it five stars, but I am not a fan of doe foot aka sponge tip applicators on any product, but for beauty I shall suffer. I bought three other colors, and already had two. I'll try to add more photos.

Review for Sea Breeze® Sensitive Skin Astringent 10 fl. oz. Plastic Bottle - 8 months, 1 week ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I had not used Sea Breeze since I was in the throes of puberty, tackling non-stop ache 80s style. But recently I happened upon an article about cleansing your scalp, not just your hair. My hair is colored and super fine, but my scalp is oily as a 12 year old's. A lot of the hair salt scrubs are too vicious on my easily tangked hair, and I remembered in cosmetology school we had a big jug of Sea Breeze we'd dispense in tiny cups for some of the sweet grandmas who came in for roller sets. Many of the women liked us to use in this astringent lieu of an actual wash. I also learned some women of color liked it to clean their scalp applied using a cotton ball as to avoid the actual hair all when they had dreadlocks or cornrows. So I decided to pick up a bottle last night. I figured for five bucks, it would not be an expensive experiment. It is currently in hot and muggy, and dabbing my scalp in small sections was very refreshing. It still has the method smell of yore. Since I was a sweaty mess, I gave my face, neck and chest a good old rub down. Indeed, it was cooling I know those is gross, but one of the joys of toners (face wipes, micellar water. ) is seeing all the nasty debris that was laying on your skin. I did expect my face to feel parched after I went to town with the Sea Breeze, but actually not. as the third ingredient in this version is gylcerine. I still moisturized, though

As for my scalp, time will tell. I am about to retouch my roots this week and I do have concerns about it affecting the integrity of my hair color..like fading it. Comment if you have tried it for scalp cleansing and/or hair growth. Regardless, I will definitely keep it handy to wipe off and cool down in this vicious heat, and to use before and after I tweeze my brows.
