These are super easy to set up, just click the freshener into the holder and plug in! There are various settings for intensity, however I found that anything other than the lowest was far too powering for my rooms. I do live in a small apartment, so if you had a large household, the higher settings might be ok for you. I always love the smell of fresh linen fresheners, and I enjoyed this just the same. You don't need to have this plugged in all of the time, but I am currently leaving this plugged inside of my washroom. After about two weeks, there is just over half gone, so I would say, with consistent use, you won't need a refill but maybe once a month.
If you are sensitive to scents, or products in general, I would recommend stay away from this cleanser. I have combination skin - it made me super shiny and dried areas of my face out so much, that it looked like it was burned. I tried this out before I worried much about looking at the ingredients of products. Now I'm smarter than that and I would have never touched this in the first place - there's a lot of unnecessary and harsh things in this.
Using this after even just a few days seemed to make my skin softer. The smell is pleasant (a light floral) and it didn't irritate my often sensitive skin, even with the fragrance. I can't say that I noticed any difference in my pores, which was the main reason for trying this product out, but it did help give a bit of a glow. If you can get your hands on a sample - do so first to see if you have better results.
I did not notice any difference with my skin using this as a serum. It smelled lovely, but I saw no results. It does suggest it can be used as a primer, which is probably the only positive thing I have to mention about how it performs, as it does work well enough as one. I didn't have any reactions to this, which usually happens when fragrance is included in the ingredients, so I guess that's another plus.
It's great that they have a version of this without alcohol. It comes with plenty of pads, which have a decent thickness. The rounds in the tub were well saturated and I was able to finish them all without any drying out. If you have acne flare ups, these will give you some results in just a few days, if your skin can handle it. Even without alcohol, they are a little bit drying for certain skin types, especially if you're sensitive, although they aren't as bad as similar products. You can even stretch out the life of your pads, if you cute them in half. If you just have an area or two that needs treatment, do this to not waste product.
This doesn't really have much of a smell to it, but has a slight lemon taste. This says its a cream and i was expecting a more gel to solid texture, however it is quite liquidy. It is rather humid here so perhaps it is part of that reason? You don't need to use very much and this does a wonderful job at moistening your lips and keeping them hydrated. Lasts a few hours. While I enjoyed using this, i probably will go with something more natural - no need for all that extra junk!
This cleanses off makeup or general oil and dirt from your face quite well. You only need a little bit and it foams to be usable on your entire face. I have combination skin, which can sometimes be sensitive. Due to this, I normally avoid foaming cleansers, as they can be drying, which this one was. It cleaned well, but did not live up to claims of balancing my skin. There is a slight scent, but it wasn't bothering. Even though the ingredient list is minimal, there are some I would rather do without, which would also prevent me from purchasing this in the future. If you're not concerned with ingredients and have normal to oily - non sensitive skin, this might work well for you.
These small bottles both contain seals, yet all you can smell is the pleasant aroma of coconut...and not the fake kind either. I love that the packaging is simple - the colours compliment well. The shampoo didn't lather very well until I went to shampoo a second time and by itself, it felt as it was a bit drying to my hair. The conditioner is the real winner here. You only need a little bit to work into your hair, which leaves it with a silky, shiny and soft finish. My hair is often quite tangled, and it was less noticeable using this. If I were to use this product again, it would probably only be the conditioner, although I'm not fond of some of the ingredients.
I was excited at first to see that the bottles contained the Leaping Bunny logo, meaning they were cruelty free. However, I can't find mention on the company's site, popular cruelty free brand lists, or the Leaping Bunny site itself, which makes me concerned they are not truly certified.
I received a complimentary bar in Peanut Power in exchange for my review, and it was the perfect peanut – fibre punch! It has 200 calories and 13g of Protein. I wasn’t expecting it to be covered in chocolate, but it was a nice balance with the peanuty flavour. Oh! And it is honey infused! YUM! It didn’t taste too sugary or artificial like other energy bars, digested with no problems, and it sustained hunger for a few hours. These are low on the Glycemic Index. Anything under 35 is considered to be quite low and this bar in particular sits at 27! According to their details, it is actually the lowest they have. The load is 5.4, if that interests you as well. I love supporting great Canadian products like this.
Thanks to So Delicious and Social Nature, I was able to try out one of their dairy-free frozen desserts complimentary. I picked up Snickerdoodle, which is cinnamon cookie dough. It is not normally a flavour I would gravitate toward, but I felt like living on the edge of my seat and trying something new. I was not disappointed! This was even better than another non-dairy dessert I’ve tried. There was just the right amount of cinnamon to not overpower the treat and it was creamy and easy to get spoons of. I’m not entirely sure how the whole cashew milk base works, but I love it! Even just a few spoons of this was enough to satisfy a sweet craving, so one tub lasted me for days. I didn’t feel guilty eating this either (I am watching my diet) because there were 190 calories in ½ cup. It contained 20g of sugar, which was a bit high for my liking, but hey – it’s a treat, right? The only negative I really found when it came to this was part of the packaging. The cover/seal inside under the lid, was a pain to remove. It was made of some kind of paper/plastic, so instead of just tearing off, it just stretched and peeled into pieces. It took me a couple minutes to finally get it all removed and I had to use a knife.
