Review for Thin Mints® Girl Scout Cookies - 1 month, 1 week ago
The guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I love the texture and taste of these mint chocolate cookies. One of my biggest, not-so-healthy treats to myself. As a child, I was a Girl Scout and this is one of the few things I've brought into adulthood with me.

Review for MAC Cosmetics x Mariah Carey Lipstick - 1 month, 1 week ago
Not only are these the prettiest Limited Edition packaging that Mac has put out in years--these colours remind me of why Mac is my ride or die lipstick brand. I was, sadly, only able to purchase "Dahhlinggg" but one is better than none.

(The other colours I wanted sold out.)

Isn't it just dreamy? It helps that the colours are simply beautiful, too, and based on the nudes lineup it's safe to say there is a colour for everyone. Not only is the Mac formula at its prime once more, the colour range is an old school kind of glamorous. I love how natural yet luxurious looks and how smooth the formula is.

The all silver glitter packaging is positively breathtaking and I'm going to be swooning over it these next few weeks. Even the box it came in is perfect!

After so many lackluster misses, we're back in swoon mode.

Review for Sonia Kashuk Nail Colour - Sweet Cheeks 27 .5floz - 1 month, 1 week ago
A gorgeous pink nail polish with a stellar shine and a great amount of staying power. Doesn't chip as quickly and looks a lot more expensive than it is. I can't remember when I purchased it but my selling point was that it matched one of my favourite Mac lipsticks--Saint Germain--and is just a beautifully girly addition to my nail polish collection.

Review for Too Faced The Power of Makeup by Nikkie Tutorials - 1 month, 1 week ago
As much as I love both Too Faced and Nikkie, this palette just doesn't do it for me. I think it's a great value, for the sum of product, and in the months that I picked it up at Ulta, I've had both hits and misses with it. I just don't find myself reaching for it often and find at least half of the shadows to be underwhelming.

It's not that the colours are awful. The quality of the formula is there for the most part--it just doesn't feel appealing and fresh to me and feels very much like I have so many variations of these colours.

I do love the bottom row of shadows for nights out, especially when applying the purple with a damp brush, and the highlight is gorgeous but it just isn't enough to compel frequent use or a higher rating.

Review for NYX Cosmetics Intense Butter Gloss - 1 month, 1 week ago
I am going to be upfront: I am not a lipgloss kind of girl. I am especially not the "intense" shocking type of lipgloss kind of girl. But because I am a massive lover of Nyx and their original Butter Gloss line, I purchased the colour "Spice Cake" during my last haul and I am in love! I have only had it for a couple of days but I've worn it several times--buttery smooth with a high shine, the pigmentation is out of this world and definitely not like your typical lipgloss. It gives off full coverage and will stop people in their tracks.

Review for NYX Cosmetics Matte Lipstick - 1 month, 1 week ago
I love the Nyx Matte Lipsticks far more than I thought I would!

I'll be honest: I was very hesitant when it came down to testing this formula because even though I love matte lipsticks I tend to be more attracted to liquid matte. But I recently bought Indie Flick on a whim because I don't own a good orange-red shade and I was very drawn to it for some reason.

When I applied it I was surprised to see not only how pigmented it was (it is a serious vibe shade, ladies!) and how smoothly it applied. It was a creamy, velvet feel that just blew my mind. I ended up wearing it for work and the staying power was great and no more drying that Mac's Matte colours.

Today I picked up a few more shades: Pale Pink, Pure Red, Sweet Pink and Nude. The formula is just as good in each of them and as usual Nyx knocks it out of the park with their high quality products that can work for anyone!

Review for e.l.f. Cosmetics HD Blush - 1 month, 1 week ago
The colours are gorgeous but on me, someone who is paler than pale, they looking like children's makeup.

You know, that creamy sort of for-play-only product. Or like I am four and playing with my mom's makeup for the first time. In other words, not worth it for me. But given the light texture to the formula, the pigments and the fact that you don't have to use a lot, this may be good on those with darker skin than myself and who are better with liquid blush.

Review for BECCA Luminous Blush - 1 month, 1 week ago
Becca makes the best blushes in the entire industry. I love that the formula is pigmented without being a messy-kind of bright on my skin it just gives me that flush of colour we all long for when looking at blush. With a range of classic colours to give your skin a pop of colour, you can find a colour for anyone and they are easily buildable.

The formula is super soft and feels almost creamy on the sky; there is minimal fall out and it's not one of those blushes you have to scrape your brush on for. A must-have! My personal favourite, my only ride or die blush, is FLOWERCHILD.

Review for Too Faced White Chocolate Chip Eye Shadow Palette - 1 month, 2 weeks ago
This is such a cute little guy! Not as pigmented as I'd hoped--it's very sheer and understated in a romantic sort of way--but other than that, it's a nice addition to your vanity table. As always, Too Faced's shadow game is on point; the colours apply smoothly and do not crease on you. You can achieve a lot of clean, delicate looks that will stay in place--but don't forget the primer!

What can I say? I am a sucker for Too Faced palettes. I was so psyched to see I got it for the holidays.

Oh, and I shouldn't have to say this but this is a tiny palette and some of you may be disappointed in it. But it's a great deal and very inexpensive compared to the rest of the Chocolate lineup.

Review for Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème - 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Super hydrating--it applies so smoothly and is like a bit of heaven on your lips. I got a Kiss Bang Bang (I think?) freebie for my birthday last year at Sephora and I have to say this formula is hands down one of the best I've ever tried. It's luxurious and classic; a lipstick beyond worthy of the splurge.

I just feel... undeniable when wearing it. Beautiful. Powerful. Strong. Alive. You know?

Marc Jacobs really knocked it out of the park and put out a highly pigmented colour range. I cannot wait to get my hands on more. Must-have for beauty junkies and you know what they say: treat yourself.
