Review for Lancôme Le Métallique Metallic Lip Lacquer - 5 days, 10 hours ago
As a disclaimer, I received a tube of Le Metallique Metallic Lip Lacquer complimentary of Influenster and Lancome in exchange for a honest review. This does not effect my opinion in any way.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a huge lip-gloss kind of girl. This isn't a gloss--though its effects are gloss-like.

When I saw this beautiful, metallic nude coloured lip lacquer I swooned a bit. And who wouldn't? Its description says it all: rich and creamy, a product that both hugs and hydrates your lips.

That's the best way to describe it. Like a gloss, it offers that extra kick of shimmer and shine to your lip colour. It truly is beautiful once applied and is far more hydrating than I expected; even with "hydration" being part of its description.

My only problem with this one is relatively minor and to be expected with gloss-like products. It simply doesn't last on my lips and is something I had to reapply multiple times during my day. But the way it looks is totally worth it! I love this colour and the formula is so pleasant to wear, I'm definitely going to check out some more from the line in the future.

There's something undeniably beautiful about a nude lip and adding a little extra kick to your look.

As a note, I received this product complimentary of both Lancome and Influenster. This does not effect my review in any way.

Lancome has always been one of my favourite brands quality wise. The Teint Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick proves why.

Not only is it long-wearing and incredibly buildable, the coverage is no joke. As someone who hasn't been known to use stick foundation often, I have to admit I was nervous about giving this a go--but the formula is so smooth and easy to apply, it's impossible for me not to rave about it. You don't need a lot at a time devoted to applying and because it's both blendable and buildable. Application is so simple. Put it on and blend it out! That's it--if it lacks coverage, just build on it slightly. A little goes a long way but there are some days where you need to go an extra mile.

It feels--and looks--naturally smooth and as if you are wearing nothing at all. I've been mostly wearing it to work and am proud to report that it looks much of the same after hours of wear. I didn't have to touch it up much (or at all, mostly) during the days that I've been wearing it and it definitely didn't budge on nights I went out dancing with friends.

If you've never used a stick foundation before this is the one that will make you a believer. One of my favourite finds of the year and perhaps the only foundation that doesn't make my skin look unnatural.

I found there was very little creasing, too, and it doesn't settle into odd lines if you moisturized before hand. As someone with dry skin, it is very hard to find something that doesn't make your skin look over-dry and this is one of those rare ones that just looks flawless.

A total must-have.

Review for Essence Eyeliner Pen Waterproof - 1 month, 1 week ago
The best deal ever. Essence isn't a brand that I typically reach for but I was in a pinch for a new eyeliner on my birthday and happened upon this one at Ulta. I actually bought two from Essence but this by far is my favourite and a new go-to out of all brands both high-end and low.

Not only is the application smooth and easy, it is long lasting, has no smudging and does not slack on the black. Its one of the best I have ever owned.

Review for Maybelline New York The 24K Nudes™ Eyeshadow Palette - 1 month, 1 week ago
This was one of my most wanted palettes from the drugstore this year and after weeks of searching, I managed to snag one.

I have to say at first I had bad luck finding a non-broken one in stores. Nearly every shop I went to, the shadows looked broken and the packaging dirty.

Upon my first use, I realized why.

The shadows are somehow equally dry and chalky. The formula is dry in the sense that applying it can be quite difficult and blending is awkward. It's chalky in a way that some colours fall apart at simple movements; creating a mess of the packaging.

Which sometimes this just happens with shadow and we can forgive it for being good quality. That isn't the case for this palette--a lot of the shades were underwhelming and lacked a wow factor in application. It was a very inconsistent palette in terms of pigment and overall, I wasn't fond of it.

Is it possible I just got a dud? Perhaps.

Review for Da Bomb Bath Fizzers "f" Bomb Bath Soak - 1 month, 1 week ago
During a recent haul at Target I picked up a few fizzers from Da Bomb and I'm very, very impressed with the brand so far. I need to stress to everyone out there: Da Bomb is not Lush. It's unfair to compare them--I get why you might, or will, but just... stop.

This little guy was my absolute favourite of what I picked out. As a girl who suffers from severe headaches, anything with lavender is a must-have for me. As soon as I placed the fizzer into the water the incredible scent took me away and helped ease my mind to relax.

It is without a doubt a simple fizzer that gets the job done. Perfect for all ages, inside all the fizzers is a special message that adds an unique touch to its production.

My recommendation? Grab some candles, set aside an hour for some me-time and relax in a nice warm bath with this.
Review for Da Bomb Bath Fizzers Earth Bomb Bath Soak - 1 month, 1 week ago
Unfortunately a lot of people are going to insist on overlooking this brand of bath fizzers because of its similarities to Lush. That's a mistake.

Roughly about the same price as cheaper bath fizzers from various brands, Da Bomb provides good quality bath products at not only a slightly lower price but these fizzers are available at more places--making them very convenient for people looking for a nice bathtime treat.

I've seen them poking around at a few stores before I purchased a few at Target. "Earth Bomb" was my least favourite of the three I tried but it was still refreshing and relaxing. All you could want. It is a pretty simple fizzer that turns your water a beautiful hue of blue and adds that pinch of colour without staining your tube.

And inside this fizzer is a precious toy that is sure to be a hit with children. I'd definitely have been more keen on bathtime as a kid if this little guy was around.

All and all, for its price, this was a very nice fizzer and worth a second glance.
Review for Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Collection Palette - 1 month, 1 week ago
I think that Sweet Peach has officially taken over my heart and beat all three Chocolate Bar Palettes. Which I never thought I'd say, seeing as they are my ride or die from Too Faced.

(And in general.)

The thing about Too Faced is, not only is the brand's packaging adorable their products are consistently incredible. In my opinion, the eyeshadows are amongst the best out there. Sweet Peach is no different. All that hype is well earned--the formula is soft, buttery smooth and highly pigmented.

From sweet to sassy, there are so many looks to create with this palette. It's well worth the money and the wait.

The delicious peach scent will make you drool but it's the quality of the colours that make you swoon. I'm so in love!

I am pretty in love with this palette--although it isn't my ride or die. I do have a bit of a love slash hate for it. Let's dive in with the good and bad. Each of the shadows are beautiful in their own right; the formula is, perhaps, one of the best I've tried. Period. ABH is often hyped for their shadows and based upon the quality, I can see why.

As for variety, there are so many colours to play with. They are highly pigmented and buttery smooth. Best of all, the colours stay in place all day and with the right primer, rarely fade or crease.

As for the cons, there are a few.

Some of the colours are a bit too pigmented for my taste (which shouldn't define whether or not you want it) and give the appearance of a child playing dress up at her mother's vanity table. I'm fair skinned, though, so this isn't all that shocking. The brush that comes with it is useless, but that is more common than not. And lastly--the back says it's good for six months and that is just a massive no-no for me when I consider the palette cost me just a bit over $40.

Review for Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Spray - 1 month, 3 weeks ago
For $4.99 a bottle at Target, this spray is such a steal! A great value with a long lasting scent. I love how fresh and sweet the Smoothie Star spray smells and much like its lotion and scrub, it is an instant mood lifter. Carrying this around is a must for me and it is fast becoming my ride or die body spray. Soap & Glory's Smoothe Star line is a must-have.
I am very picky about what I clean my face with and I definitely bought this on a whim because I adore all the Soap & Glory products I have tried. This really is a good product because it does bring clarity your face and leaves skin looking healthy and glowing. I was amazed by how it made my skin look less dull.

You don't need to use a lot at a time so one bottle seems to last a long time. The best part is that it doesn't irritate my skin in any way. I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat.
