Fantastic film, with two great leads (Woodley and Elgort. Willem Dafoe as author Peter Van Houten delivers a brief, but scene-stealing, appearance. Definitely a welcome deviation from the typical teen romance films. Watch this with someone you love; it will remind you that the time we get with those we love is finite. Enjoy every second together.
Set in the late 70s, "That 70s Show" follows a group of teenagers as they learn life lessons, fall in and out of love, and get high in the basement. There's Eric, a skinny nerd who's always overshadowed by his pretty (but mean and manipulative sister Laurie ) Donna, the pretty girl next door who's "one of the guys." Kelso, the good-looking but vapid guy who's always up for an adventure... that never ends well. Jackie, the spoiled pretty girl who thinks the world revolves around her. Hyde, the sarcastic rebel without a cause. And Fez, the mysterious foreign exchange student from some unnamed country. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll wonder how this show managed to stretch three years into eight seasons. Though the show stops focusing so much on the kitschy and often strange parts of the 70s and more on the relationships between the characters as time goes on, it never fails to be entertaining. Hang out down the street with the gang... you'll be glad you did.
