I received these nail wraps in the pattern Union Jack Gold and Black in my February GlossyBox.
The pattern itself was not one I would have purchased myself although looking at the site it's doubtful I would have ever purchased them anyways based on patterns alone (I really prefer the patterns of the Sally Hansen Salon Effects myself).
But since I'm always willing to try new things I decided to give them a go. I followed the directions as they were written and I'm not sure if maybe my package was a bit defective or something because they just did not stick well AT ALL!
Another issue I had was with the sizing as I have slender nails and about 5 of the 8 sizes wouldn't work with that. They do say you can trim them down but I just wasn't willing to go that extra step since they were not sticking well at all.
I know the package says they could last 10 days but mine probably wouldn't have even made it past the first one.
There is definitely no way I'm going to go out of my way to buy these but if I receive more in a future subscription box I'd give them another try just to see if my first set really was defective.
The three flavors I chose to try were the peanut butter cups, chocolate caramel nougat bar and the candy coated chocolates (like m&ms). Now even though I didn't really care too much for the first two - I actually thought that the candy coated chocolates were actually better tasting than regular m&ms! So those are something I would perhaps repurchase in the future.
When I first saw this here on Influenster I knew I wanted to try it. However I don't shop at Walmart and that was the only place shown that carried it. So I was super excited when I spotted it in the freezer section at my local Super Target. It was located next to the frozen desserts and cakes. They had all three flavors there so I let my kids choose between chocolate and vanilla (I don't care for cream cheese flavored anything). They picked vanilla and we chose to spread it on sugar cookies. I loved how easy it was to spread and the consistency is light and fluffy which I loved. I also really liked the mild flavor - as did my husband most frosting is too sweet for his taste. I can't wait to go back this weekend and pick up the chocolate flavor to try on some cupcakes for the husbands birthday on Sunday!
I hadn't really heard much about Jewelmint before last month when I received a free credit to try out Stylemint in my Popsugar Must Have Box.
Each month you pay $29.99 and you get a credit (This credit can actually be used towards any of the 4 'Mints' Jewel, Style, Shoe and Intimint. You also have the option to just skip the month altogether and they won't charge you a cent.
It's basically one credit ($29.99) for each piece of jewelry which can seem a bit steep but they tend to have a lot of deals. Currently they are offering a 2 for 1 for new members.
They also sometimes have Mystery Boxes - I chose to use my credit towards a mystery box of 4 pieces for 1 credit on Cyber Monday.
I ended up getting 1 necklace, 1 set of earrings and 2 bracelets. All of which seem to be quality pieces. I'm very happy with what I received.
So bottom line: It may seem a bit pricey but with the option to completely skip months or use your credit on any of the sister 'mint' sites there really is no reason not to check it out.
