Love love love love this stuff. It dries super fast and gives you a gel like finish. The price point is good but the only drawback is that it's extra smelly and if not used it has a tendency to dry in the bottle
First of all, I love Tati and my review is not a reflection on how I feel about her or how I feel about her makeup reviews. I was not impressed with this at all! The price point is way to high to justify repurchasing and they don't have a return/refund policy.
I accidentally bought two bottles and then tried to see if I could return it for full purchase price and, nope! I'm now stuck with an extra bottle. So, I thought that maybe to give this a fair try I would actually need the two months worth. I only finished the first bottle however.
The packaging is gorgeous and I do really like the colour of the pills. They smell really bad though. That is probably the only thing I liked about Halo Beauty... The package and pill colour.
I took the pills as suggested (two a day for 30 days) and didn't notice anything after the first week. Many people say they do though. A lot of people also describe having upset stomachs and fortunately I didn't experience that.
After about day 9 I woke up with a huge breakout in my hairline framing my face. Thank God it was in my hairline and not on my actual face... Day 11 those pimples were still there and hadn't broken through the skin but they were super painful! I also had a new breakout in the hairline behind my ears. I NEVER GET BREAKOUTS IN MY HAIRLINE! I read everything I could about this product and many people mentioned that the breakouts were because my skin was purging. After a moments panic I decided to keep using and on day 14 I got my first breakout on my chin. Said people also said that the purge period lasts about three weeks.
Oh and did I mention that my skin was now super oily? Well, I turned into a giant grease ball and didn't need to moisturize during the time I used Halo. It was bad!
The thing about this is that my skin is typically clear and I only get a zit or two during "shark week." I felt like I was going through puberty again by day 18. These breakouts though were different than the usual period pimples. These were the cystic acne type that I had never experienced before.
I didn't notice a difference in my hair or nails either. So, stupidly, I decided to keep on and because I paid about $60 for each bottle and didn't want it all to go to waste I continued to day 30.
Here I am a week and a bit after finishing the first bottle, covered in cystic acne all over my hairline and a scar on my chin from picking at the mountain that was there. My nails and hair are the same as before and I'm out $120.
I know it works for some but it didn't for me. My advise is to save your money and pick up some folic acid for your hair and nails for a fraction of the price and some biotin pills or something else for your skin. If you have clear skin then keep it that way and don't use Halo Beauty because it's not worth it.
