The scalp and hair conditioner combined with clinical strength dandruff shampoo has done wonders for my dry, itchy irritated scalp. I was able to go two weekend without washing my hair because I didn't have any itching or flakes triggering me to wash. The scent is a wonderful and light floral that I loved. I don't think the conditioner goes as far as the shampoo, but that seems to be true for any conditioner vs shampoo. Because I added a few other products post wash I'm not sure now the conditioner contributed to softness and manageability, but I was able to wear my natural curls loose all day with no problems.
I have very dry/sensitive/irritated scalp. Usually between washes it gets very irritated and flaky due to psoriasis. I'm always skeptical of anything that says it can combat that, because I have not had anything work. I must say the head and shoulders clinical strength may be the miracle worker I need. The later is rich and a little goes a long way on my long, thick, naturally curly hair. It was easy to spread a small amount to my entire scalp. After washing and conditioning with the head and shoulders hair and scalp conditioner I lost track of the last time I washed because I have not had one flake or itch. I just washed again I today and realized two weekends have passed since my last wash. I could never go that long before without flakes and irritation. I will definitely be purchasing this in the future.
I liked the idea of the bar, but I just could not get past the texture and after taste typical to me of most protein bars. I received the free sample in my flourish voxbox, and I'd be willing to buy and try other flavors if I could purchase them singularly instead of in an nature box I may end up wasting. It did however do the job in curbing my ever increasing pregnancy hunger. This could be a reason I could not get around the taste/texture. I'd be willing to try again when random things aren't making me feel as sick.
My son and I devoured these immediately upon opening them and getting our free sample in the flourish voxbox. They are soooo good and I will be purchasing a box soon. Would be nice if they have a mixed variety box instead of own flavor per box.
I was optimistic about this product. I have a 5 year old and being able to cut drying time is a must. I typically use top coat that are quick drying over wet polish but decided to try this for less than $5 it was worth a shot. It was easy to use and not messy. The instructions state to wait one minute before use on polish and to use as needed for a fast drying conditioned manicure. After 5 rounds my polish failed to even be dry enough to withstand a gentle touch. It will be returned to the store.
I usually use the Sally Hansen quick dry top coat in the red bottle, but I wanted to try something different hoping for longer lasting results. I was trying to decide between the mega shine and the professional top coat. The mega shine top coat was over $7 so it was a splurge, but from reviews I was hoping for good things. I did not realize that this top coat was not quick drying, you must wait for your nails to fully dry before applying. It initially gave my nails a gel feel that hardened over the next day. Less than 48 hours later my nails were doing the same chipping around the edges that typically happens. Needless to say for the money spent I expected more, and I have returned the topcoat to the store.
I must start by stating that this review is based on my immediate results and could change after a few days based on the performance of this manicure. I love the look of French tips, it's a classic look that seems to never go out of style. When I saw this kit on clearance at Sally's Beauty Supply I just had to have it. Typically in the summer I like to give myself bright manicures, so my nails are stained from the neon yellow I had on previous to this manicure. The top and base cost are completely transparent so the staining is evident, but not too bad. The instructions were easy to follow on YouTube as well as the box. Hopefully the results will be long lasting. I will update my review and photo after a week.
Edited to add: I initially gave 4 starts, but after wearing them from Monday night to Friday evening I've changed my review to 2 stars. Multiple times a day my tips peeled and I had to re-glue. I finally peeled them all off at work. Luckily these were $2.99 on clearance. At that price they would be nice for a special event, but not worth it at full price or for long-term use.
Although it is listed as "original" scent, it smells much better than the original scented bar. It has a light fresh scent and gentle on my sensitive skin. It is a great value for the price compared to other body washes.
