I'm not a person who normally uses products to achieve volume in my hair. However, I do like the airy feel of the spray. The consistency is somewhat tacky which helps the spray adhere to my roots. I mostly use the light body nozzle for my thick curly hair. It gives my hair some lift when I wear it down. I submitted this review as part of a contest but all opinions are my own.
I love the scent of this lip gloss. It's smells sweet and tropical. The pigmentation of this lip glaze is great. I only needed to apply one layer to get the perfect look. The coverage is opaque and the consistency is not very watery. The texture was sticky at times so keep that in mind when wearing your hair loose.
Yummy Rummy is a bronze, coppery shade with shimmer that sparkles in good lighting. I think it's my favorite of the collection!
For darker skin tones, some of these shades need a liner to keep them from looking ashy. However, I am pleased that at least half of the colors look great with my skin tone. During an Ulta BOGO sale, I managed to grab Girl Code (rosewood), Nip Slip (toasted caramel), Throwin Suede (sable brown), and Pout About It (terracotta pink). I love them all!!
Girl Code shows up as more of a mauve shade when I wear it. It's cool toned but never looks offputting with my skin tone.
The texture is very creamy and non sticky. The color is smooth and present; you get pigment in one swipe. There is coconut butter to keep lips looking supple, healthy and hydrated. While the lipstick isn't transfer proof, the color does last for most of the day.
When you first open the tube, you get a waft of the coffee oil. As you apply the lip gloss, the smell becomes more prominent (but not overpowering). The angled tip of the applicator wand is great for controlled application, especially around the perimeter of the mouth. The texture wasn't sticky and the color didn't wear off easily.
This lip gloss has shine and pigment in spades!!! The color wasn't as vibrant as it appears on the website's model but it was noticeable when I applied it. The lip gloss applied evenly and didn't glob up in the corners of my mouth.
I'M HOOKED!!! The design of this lip gloss is phenomenal. Most people that see me with this assume that it's a normal twist off lip gloss. I get so many surprised looks and "What is that?" from my friends and people that I don't even know when I twist up the tube.
I chose the color Uh Huh Honey, which is described as brown sugar shimmer. This description is spot on. This is a shimmer (NOT GLITTER) lip gloss. The color is very brown girl friendly and has a slight tint to it. It's a universal shade that I'm sure everyone will love. My lips always look shiny but not greasy. In great lighting you can see the shimmer effect even better.
The consistency of the gloss is very smooth. It's not sticky or messy lip some lip gloss can be. There is a tear drop applicator that makes it easier to reach the corners of the mouth without leaving globs of gloss everywhere. Each stick has a subtle mint scent which is very refreshing.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: This lip gloss is not retractable. Once you twist it up, you can not twist it back down.
This mascara is okay. It's definitely not my favorite from CoverGirl. The bristles are kind of spiky and can be uncomfortable if they get too close to your lash line. I don't get show stopping volume but my lashes tend to have more definition. The formula doesn't clump or smudge. I think the main benefit of the mascara is that it contains papaya, coconut and avocado oils to keep lashes hydrated. I do feel that the condition of my lashes has improved somewhat since using.
While I don't like this brush as much as my Morphe M439 Deluxe Buffer , it gets the job done. My main issue with this brush is the fact that the bristles aren't as dense, which can make the finish sometimes look streaky. It's harder to blend some stick foundations, especially Iman Cosmetics Second to None Stick Foundation , but liquid foundation blends relatively easy.
This brow gel is very pigmented which makes it great for people like myself who have sparse eyebrows. It dries down within a few minutes and won't rub off even in the heat. The wand is wider than I would like which can make it difficult to get a more precise tail. I try to start towards the middle of my brow and blend the excess gel toward the head and tail. I always follow up with highlighter and concealer in case it looks too sloppy. I use Neutrogena® Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes but I suppose it could last for 2 days if you just didn't wash near your eyebrows.
Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro is incredibly convenient and travel friendly; the only thing that's missing is a spoolie. When you get this product, make sure that you read the instructions carefully first. There are actually two brow shades (a deeper one for the tail and a lighter one for the head). The definer shade is basically like a concealer; I use it to clean up around my edges. Make sure that you keep twisting the middle of the pencil so that the product actually comes out for use.
I was sent the Brown-Black-Deep shade. I felt like the deeper shade was a little too dark for me and didn't look as realistic as I would like. Nevertheless, with a soft hand I was able to make it work. This product does have pigment and a medium firmness that made it easier to blend than I thought. You will need to actually blend the shades after use; you can use a small brush or your fingers to clean up around the outside of your brow. I will say that once the product was on, it didn't smudge or rub off. I received this product for free in a VoxBox but all opinions are my own.
