Hello everyone! I'm a NYC girl, a cool mom (at least my kids think so) a fashion/art lover and beauty products connoisseur.
I have been using beauty products since I was a teenager - that is a lot of experience with many, many different products.
Being a mom I also have plenty of experience with products for the home/everyday living as well as children's products.
I have tried products with high hopes that haven't lived up to their claims and some that have been nothing short of amazing, so here I am to share those experiences with you!
I have a strange habit of applying this to my cuticles and nails all day long while at work. Anyone would think I have OCD but I don’t. This just truly smells so good and it keeps me from getting raggedy cuticles especially in the ruthless New York City weather months of winter. The first one I bought came in a Burt’s bees gift kit. Luckily I received another for Christmas and yep, when it was done I purchased it on my own. I love that it’s easily found in the drugstore for about $10. If you happen to see the gift set especially on drugstore sales, you’d be doing yourself a disservice of not picking it up.
Good cause and gorgeous gloss, what else can you ask for? I use this with the accompanying Taraji lipstick as well as with other lipstick or completely in its own. I especially think it’s pretty for holidays. It pairs well with a soft eye makeup look because it is a real stunner and gets quite a bit of attention on its own. Formula is not sticky or tacky and wears for about 5-6 hours, great for gloss.
This is a really great cleaner to remove stubborn foundation from my beauty blender. I have tried so many other ways to clean my beauty blender but this cleanser does it with the least effort. I also like that it’s portable because it is a solid. I cleanse my brushes with this also and they come out squeaky clean and the bristles are conditioned. It’s a regular in my makeup paraphernalia stash.
If you have hooded eyes and find that you inch your eyelid with most curlers, or if your lashes are really straight, this is the best curler out there for you! I had given up on lash curlers for a long while until someone with a similar issue recommended this one to me and it solved my lash curler problems. My hair does not have any waves to it and my lashes are pretty straight as well, this plus some good mascara and my eyes look bright and open all day.
I go back and forth between this product and my tiny Vaseline lip jars. This one has s nicer consistency and has more sophisticated scents. The packaging is also very nostalgic and beautiful. My favorite is the mocha rose flavor, it smells just like chocolate and roses but in a subtle way. I always use a scrub to exfoliate my lips and put this on before bed and in the morning during my makeup routine. I then wipe it off and apply my lipstick, or gloss and sometimes I just stick to wearing it alone.
First off, how cute is this little, baby sized Vaseline jar? It’s what mad me try these out. I remember searching for these when they first came out a few years back and I think I’ve purchased them all! My favorite is the cocoa butter but only because of its scent. I really enjoy all three flavors and can’t see how you can go wrong with any of them. I use a lip scrub on my lips and then apply this on top and it keeps my lips in tip-top kissable shape 👄. I also use this on top of a matte lipstick if it is too drying or to make my lips look juicy.
I’m not a huge drugstore fan, well I lie because I can’t stay away from the makeup aisle while in a drugstore. However, often times I am disappointed with drugstore products but this lipstick is amazing and definitely one that I use! I actually have about 8 shades in the matte formula and I’m dying to try the pencils. These mattes are creamy, long lasting and pigmented! They do have a scent that I’m not crazy about but that goes away quickly. If you don’t mind scent much, you can get yourself a great quality matte lipstick and this is my drugstore choice ❤️ 💄
This is a gorgeous nude I stellar glittery holiday packaging. I mean the packaging is literally stunning! Now, for the lipstick, it’s a great creamy nude that pairs well with a sparkly or Smokey eye that is a pretty classic look for holidays. The color itself is one that I’m sure I already have dupes for but I seriously can’t think of a better presentation. Not that I would expect less from Mariah, after all she is a diva.
This lipstick was one that I didn’t think I would love. I have tons of lipsticks but this particular shade along with the formula is one that I don’t have a duplicate of. I always find that these creamy plum colors are thin or just drying on the lips but not this baby. My only issues is that it is so creamy that it can get on my teeth if I’m not careful. This is something I’m willing to sacrifice though. I need to pick up some other shades during Sephora’s sale because this formula did not come to play!
This is a gorgeous color! I purchased fig and got tons of compliments and women asking where to get it. Butttt, I dislike the fact that it’s called matte when it is far from that. It has a luxurious, creamy and shiny finish and it actually does last pretty long on the lips. It really feels amazing and looks gorgeous. I actually finished mine and was unsure of if these were still in production but they are so I’ll be picking up a new one ASAP.
