Um. Wet n Wild?!!! HOW do you make an eyeshadow quad for only $3-4 and have it be THIS amazing?! These are such drugstore gems. No matter what kind of budget you’re on, the quality of these eyeshadows is there. As you can clearly tell, I love these. I like that each quad has a cohesive color range, making it easy to create an eye look. You also don’t necessarily need to follow the color match they give you, and you can make multiple looks with one quad. The shadows are soft and pigmented. There’s some kickback when tapping product off the brush but there’s hardly any fallout once applying it to the eyes. These also blend like a dream. So much so, I enjoy the way these quads blend more my $68 palette. I haven’t had any problems with any shades not blending. The lasting power is there too. I’d say it fades some by the end of the day but not to the point where you can’t tell what color is on your eyes. Whether you’re a makeup junky like me, or are more of an everyday-apply-and-go person, these quads are just so good. I can’t recommend them enough.
My foundation game has totally changed. For starters, this is what I look for in a foundation: *easy to apply and blend * color match * light to medium coverage (more toward medium most of the time) * long lasting * natural looking
This foundation hits every single mark. My skin looks so unbelievably flawless. I almost always get compliments on my skin when I use this! I enjoy the application. I personally have the starter kit airbrush (the more handheld looking one). I find it easy to use. There’s zero mess. I can apply foundation precisely and seamlessly. One thing I LOVE is that I don’t need to wipe my eyebrows after; I tend to have that problem with traditional liquid foundations. The only complaint I have with applying (why I took one star off) is because I have to shake the product *during,* not just before, application; otherwise, nothing really comes out. After shaking it though, it gives me such beautiful coverage. The coverage starts off pretty light but it’s easily buildable to medium. For me, it’s perfect. It doesn’t look caky at all, and it looks very smooth and natural. It works well with my more traditional makeup products as well (like bronzer, concealer, etc.). The coverage also lasts ALL DAY. I can wear this for 10+ hours, and it looks the same by the end of the day. It’s insane! There’s little to no fading, and I don’t get overly shiny or dry. The only thing is that it settles into my smile lines some but it’s hardly noticeable. I absolutely love this foundation. It’s my official HG. The initial purchase definitely breaks the bank but the price of the foundation itself is reasonable enough for me to buy again and again (about the same as any high end foundation). If you have the money and have been curious about this, do it. It’s worth every penny.
I love Stila. They're one of my all time favorite brands. I've also heard rave reviews about this mascara, so when I had the chance, I couldn't pass up buying this. Unfortunately, I have to say that I'm left slightly disappointed. It is a good mascara but I have a hard time with it sometimes. I'll start with the good. I love that the black is a rich, pigmented black and not grey-ish. It's easy to apply. The wand is easy to use, and it's not a big chunky wand like some other mascaras that are supposed to give a more dramatic look. The formula lasts very well on me; there's hardly any flaking or transfer by the end of the day. Now the bad. The way this mascara looks on me is pretty hit or miss. This has been my personal experience most of the time. One coat looks pretty. It gives me a more natural, slightly longer and more volumized lash look. I really enjoy it. However, it does not build up well on my lashes. Two or more coats look like a clumpy mess. My lashes stick together and some lashes appear unnaturally longer than others. I also like to have more of a "fanned out" volume that my lashes naturally tend to do with most mascaras. This mascara does not fan out my lashes after one coat; instead, it chunks them together and make my eye shape look strange. So overall, I do really like this mascara for one-coat application. It's nice for every day, and I will continue to use it for that. However, for more dramatic lashes, which I love and which this is advertised for, I don't like it (especially for the high price tag). I personally won't be repurchasing this mascara, since there are just ones that I love so much more.
I've been so intrigued by Origin products, and I have to say I LOVE this! I recently ran out of my previous skin care items, and switched almost completely to Origins products. This serum is the best I have tried so far. I like that it comes with a pump. It's packaging is sanitary and easy to get the product out. As for the serum itself... It's just perfect for my skin. I have pretty normal skin. I get some dryness at times, and the occasional hormonal breakout. This serum feels very lightweight, and it has almost a creamy/milk-y consistency. It sinks right into my skin, and it immediately makes my skin feel so much softer and smoother. It has definitely calmed my skin down as well. Since using this serum, I've noticed my skin looks more even, feels smoother, and appears poreless. My smile lines have also significantly decreased. I must admit, some things I don't know if it's just this serum that's targeting these concerns, since I also started using a new Origins cream at the same time as this, but I can tell you that this has definitely contributed to the way my skin has been looking. I highly HIGHLY recommend it. My only warning is that it does have a natural, earthy scent to it, like an essential oil or like walking into one of those natural apothecary stores. The fragrance does dissipate quickly when you apply it; however, if you're not a fan of the scent, then you might not like it. I personally find it kind of calming, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all.
Wow wow wooow. How have I never heard anyone talk about this? I recently purchased this because it looked intriguing. I love Pacifica as a brand, and I love facial mists. This one is so good! I spritz it on my face to refresh it a bit. It makes my skin feel soft and hydrated. I also like to use it as a setting spray for my makeup. I'm so impressed with it. I typically use a higher end setting spray to set everything. I used this one on its own the other day. It made my makeup look flawless and more skin-like. It also helped my makeup last ALL day. I kid you not, I think it worked better than my actual setting spray. I love the way it mists out too. The sprayer nozzle (I forget what those things are actually called) is so easy to spray, and it distributes the product very evenly. The mist itself is very fine. This particular mist also smells soooo yummy. I love the smell of coconut, and this is such a soft, natural coconut scent. This is my new favorite facial mist. It's so underrated. I love it more than other mists that I have considered as my go-tos. Highly recommend.
Let me start out by saying I'm a creature of habit when it comes to certain products. I have always stuck with one drugstore concealer for YEARS because I absolutely love it, and nothing compared to it (even high end concealers). I don't know why I was always hesitant of buying this one; the price definitely had something to do with that. Well, I finally gave it a shot. Oh my good gosh. This is THE BEST concealer I have ever tried, and that is a HUGE statement for me to make. I have the shade Custard, and my skin tone is light/medium to medium. This is such a good shade for me. It's light enough to highlight my features but doesn't make me look ghostly or pale. The formula of this concealer is, of course, amazing. I have normal skin, which can lean slightly dry at times. I'd say the texture is slightly thick but also lightweight (does that make sense?). It blends like a dream on me. I personally like to blend my concealers with a blending sponge. The coverage is perfect. I'm not a fan of super full, cakey looking coverage. This gives me medium to full coverage and looks very natural. A little definitely goes a long way. It just looks so good! I don't have issues with it creasing badly on me, and it doesn't emphasize any fine lines. It doesn't look drying on me either. And it stays put all day. I've worn this for 10+ hours, and it looks the same by the end of the day. Very little fading. I really don't think I have anything bad to say about this concealer. It's worth every single penny. I'll be reaching for this constantly, and consider it as one of my new go-to concealers.
Review for: 3.5 - Light With Warm Undertone more...
This is one of the most bizarre foundations I have ever tried, and I mean this in both a good and bad way. This foundation is very hit or miss for me. I have normal skin, can lean a little dry sometimes. This formula is so different, so innovative, that it could either have worked really well or really horribly. It works both ways on me. It comes out in a soft, kind of fluffy, mousse-y texture. It's very lightweight. I used this foundation several times, and tried applying it with a brush, a sponge, and my fingers. I personally enjoy the application better with my fingers. I found that it moved around a lot and looked streaky with my brush, and it's difficult to blend/patchy sometimes with my sponge. It gives a matte but not "flat" finish. It has a light coverage and has a luxurious "feel" to it. I must say, I personally like lighter to medium coverage foundations better. I don't like the way super full coverage looks on me. However, the finish of this is hit or miss for me. There are days where it looks so beautiful. It blurs out my imperfections and makes my skin look flawless. There are other days where it pills up and looks like a powdery mess on me, no matter how I apply it (and I use the same products). I don't know why that occurs, but it is odd.The lasting power of this foundation is okay. I do use this with my favorite primer, a tiny bit (not much) of powder, and setting spray. It's not the longest lasting out of the foundations I own and love, but it does the trick for few hours. I have worn this for 10+ hours at a time. I find that it breaks down mostly on my nose and fades quite a bit on my cheeks and chin at the end of the day. It doesn't make me look dry or oily as it fades, which is good. Now for a major con. The shades are just so limited. My skin tone is light to medium with warm undertones. My current "perfect" foundation shade is Lancome Teint Idole foundation in the shade 320 Bisque W. I did receive the Face Fabric when my skin was a little paler as well, and used it then too. I have the shade 3.5, light with warm undertones. The color in the tube is very deceiving. It looks extremely dark and orange. This shade also blends strangely on my skin. It's too light on me right now but also too warm. It's pretty much orange. When I was just slightly paler, this was actually too dark and too orange on me. The shade range with this foundation is also very tricky because the warmer shades are all extremely warm, while the cooler shades appear extremely cool. There is also little variety in the shade range, which makes it even more difficult to find a match. I used this foundation on its own so that way I could give it a fair shot and gather my full thoughts; however, I now mix it with my other foundations that are more neutral and have different color range to better match my current skin tone. Luckily, I found a ratio for it to mix well with my other foundations. If I mix too much of it in, it does break my other foundations down quite a bit. Overall, I really do try to love this foundation. I want to love it. But it's so hit or miss that I just can't justify buying it again, especially at that price. I will continue to use it while I own it but I will not repurchase. **I did receive this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I'm not too sure how I feel about this cream. I've used it quite a few times to help with spot treatment for my occasional pimples. I don't think it really did much. I don't know... it didn't do anything bad to my skin. I just can't tell if it does anything at all apart from drying the area a bit. I personally wouldn't buy it again.
This eye cream has quickly become one of my favorites. I've been using it for a few weeks now. My under-eyes have been on the dark side lately. I've been pretty tired and stressed. My other eye cream was good but I just wanted to try something new. The force is strong in this eye cream. My under-eyes have become one with the force, my the force is with them. It really works. I really like the texture of this eye cream. It's soft, non-sticky and non-greasy, and it sinks in quickly. My under-eyes feel so soft and smooth. They look more awakened and have joined the light side. My bags also no longer look like Yoda's forehead. And, as an added bonus, it smells really good. It's not an unnatural smell at all, more like a light, fresh cucumber. I highly recommend it. I'm in a bit of a mental star war because if I could, I'd probably give it more than 5.
