I actually really like this concealer and I’m surprised no one has really talked about it! It’s super lightweight with high/full coverage that last through out the night. You don’t need very much of the product to get the look you want. Even if you did pack the product on, it doesn’t look cakey or have any build up. The concealer is very liquidy and even with the really awesome sponge tip that was design to not apply too much on the skin due to the holes, I still feel it’s still too much so I would scrape some off first and then apply to my face. The sponge tip is very flexible so you aren’t applying too much on the skin. This is such a great quality and well thought out concealer that everyone should seriously try it out! And can we just give Smashbox a round of applause by bringing out so many shades of concealer and under tones?!?!?!
I am light to to medium with yellow undertones or is warm in general but not really olive and I got light warm to use for my under eyes to brighten and highlight. However, I think it’s s tad too brightening than I want it on certain days so I would add a few small dots of the light warm golden to mix in with the majority of the light warm concealer. I bought the light warm golden to use for spot concealing as it matches more on my skin tone but haven’t used it very much or at all due to the consistency of the product (like I mentioned before, it’s pretty liquidy).
Oversll, I absolutely love this concealer and have only tried it out for the last few days and will continue to us it.
If you love the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but it’s too dry for you then this is the right concealer for you. It’s basically the shape tape but not drying, not thick, and cakey on the skin. Has full coverage and last all day. I do like the shape tape but I just think it’s too much for my extreme dry under eyes which is why I go with this product instead. Some may still think that this product is still dry on their under eyes since it is such a full coverage product. If that’s the case, then I would suggest something lighter in texture and coverage that has buildable coverage like the Smashbox Concealer that just recently came out.
I really hate to admit this, but I seriously love this stuff. I think it’s absolutely worth it for the price as it feels luxury, silky on my skin but sinks into the skin fast, you don’t need a lot of product, and it keeps the hands hydrated and may I dare say it, glowy??
The only thing I would like to mention is that if you have severe dry skin, I would not recommend this product. One of my pointy finger has an extreme dry patch on that comes randomly no matter the season (I’m unsure why or how it happened but it does) and when I tried using this lotion to help moisturize it even when I slab on a lot on that finger, it will be dry again after an hour or less.
For a drug store eyeliner, this is really great! I love love the brush and how thin it is and not super long like some other ones I’ve used. It can make the thinnest line ever which is a plus for those inner corner and can be easily used to make a thick line. It’s super black and pretty much waterproof (I have extremely oily eyelids). The only complaint is though I did mention the brush tip isn’t too long I wish it was a tad bit shorter but other than that it works amazing.
This eyeliner is so good. It doesn’t ink like some other ones I’ve used, blackest black, smudge proof, stays in place/long lasting, and love the brush tip! It can make a very thin line or a thick line depending on how you hold the eyeliner. I have extremely oily eyelids and this eyeliner held with few smudges or no smudges at all!
I use to be a lover of blush that even when I’m not wearing any make up I needed a touch of blush on my cheeks before I walk out of the house. However, over time things changed and I no longer like blush or go out of my way to wear it. But, things changed when I got my hands on these bad boys. They are so good! They are powder but they melt into the skin, gives such a natural glow, long lasting, and gets on all skin tones. This blush made me love blushes again! I love using this blush on brides or any professional photography/videography when I do friends and family make up.
The downside of this product is the price but I honestly think you get what you paid for. I been using this blush for years and haven’t made a dent (but also I don’t use very much).
PRO: - Great for very to extreme dry skin/hands - Makes hands super soft - Little goes a long way - Smells super good! You can smell the grape seed very clearly in this with a hint of macadamia
CON: - another suitable for dry to normal skin/hands - Makes hands shiney (I don’t doubt if this works great for the arms and legs for that nice shine/glow look) - If you use too much the product doesn’t sink in fast enough, you get all that greasy mess on literally everything you touch
Overall, I love the smell and how it makes my skin soft but the shine on my hands make it look oily and everything I touch feels greasy.
This has such great reviews and I am sorry, I don't get why...
I've used the Purity Made Simple Cleanser in the past and I never got the hype for it but I did like how that one was gentle on the skin. Since the cloths are made with the same/similar ingredients to the cleanser (due to it being in the same Purity Made Simple line), I thought I would try it as they were on sale and I love using cloths to get rid of my make up. I LOVE LOVE the cloths itself. They are soft yet very thick and sturdy (quality made cloths). They aren't rough on the skin if you have sensitive skin as well. The product itself does take off the makeup but if you are wearing heavy makeup, you'll have to use another cloth or two to get everything off your face. I felt like I was going over my eye makeup more than I should and all I had was a light eyeshadow color, mascara, eyeliner, and eye pencil liner and it couldn't even take off the eyeliner!!! That to me is disappointing as it isn't strong enough to get rid of the heavy makeup in general. Another disappointment is that the cloths aren't damp enough, drier overall compared to other ones I've used and that to me makes it hard to get all the makeup off as it feels like you are rubbing a dry cloth on your face.
Overall, I like using this if I have no makeup to VERY little makeup to get rid of dirt but even then I wouldn't repurchase it again for this reason.
I bought this on a whim when it was on sale and wanted to try out more cleansing balms as I love to use them as a double cleanser. I love how sherbet like this product is and it is easy to 'break' down in your hands compared to the Clinique one. I can't say if it does break down all my make up as I always do a double cleanse when using any type of cleansing balm (like I mentioned earlier) but it feels like it is. I can't say if its strong enough to use for eye make up as I don't like using balms on my eyes because I have sensitive eyes.
The only complaint that I have is if you get water inside the container with the balm, it starts to get mushy/watery which makes the consistency, not as sherbet-like as it is. It will also sit in the container and not solidify so you are stuck with watery balm. Scoop with dry hands or the spatula with dry hands to prevent any water on your hands to get into the container.
Overall, I really do like this product and do see myself purchasing it again in the future.
