Review for: tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette more...
I love the colors in this palette but I'm thinking the formula is just not for me. I've tried a couple looks when I first purchased and then just ended up using one of the brown shades for an eyebrow powder because I just couldn't get it to work for me. Maybe I will try again, but I am used to Kat Von D and Anastasia eye shadows and compared to those, these just seem s but powdery and tough to blend. I REALLY want to like this palette though because the colors are gorgeous! So maybe I will try again and hopefully come back with a more positive review.
I liked this when I used it (formula wise), but looking back in not sure why I needed it. I only really ended up using the brown shade in the palette and the light colors went to waste. I think there may be different versions of this out now that may have worked better for me (I think? I'm not sure off the top of my head). But I think I'd prefer maybe 1 less light color and then possibly a pop of something else. The point of it was to be convenient but I always found myself brining along another palette anyway.
I actually quite like this eyeshadow primer. I've received a few samples of it in different ipsy glam bags. I don't think it does anything to make colors pop, but I do tend to notice a difference as far as eyeshadow transfer throughout the day. I do think once I run out I am going to try some different options as although it is good, I hear better reviews on other eyeshadow primers.
I think this was the first "real" eyeshadow palette I bought when I was in high school. Back then I loved it and thought it was amazing. However, as I began trying out other products and getting even more into makeup, I realized that I am not a huge fan of the formula used in this palette. It's too powdery and drying for my liking and I prefer a more "buttery" eyeshadow. I haven't purchased any other Naked palettes since then, but I'm hearing a lot of good things about the Naked Heat palette so maybe I will be trying again in the future.
I used this palette for a long time--I still have my original one in the cardboard packaging! This was one of my first eyeshadow palettes when I started getting into makeup. I've found that I prefer different palettes over this one, but it is a decent palette for what it's worth. I gravitated towards the matte shadows in this. I'd say it's a great palette for someone just getting into makeup who wants something better than drugstore and is going for a natural eye look.
I'd say this is an OK mascara. It's not my favorite. My holy grail of mascaras is Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara. I tried this one out randomly as I wanted to see how their other mascaras performed, but for me this didn't beat out my go-to. I wouldn't repurchase but some people may prefer this want over the Clump Crusher wand--it's definitely personal preference.
Review for: Kat Von D Lock-It Precision Powder Brush more...
I bought this brush on a whim--I actually found its perfect for applying my power highlight to the tops of my cheekbone and nose. It's too is thin enough for a precise line and it's flat enough to blend up and down as needed. I use it everyday!
I purchased this after reading about it on Reddit about 4 years ago...it has been my holy grail mascara ever since!! The wand & formula are PERFECT for my lashes and do a great job of lengthening & separating without any clumps whatsoever (yet somehow my lashes still get volume!). I've keep trying to branch out and try other mascaras but I can't find one that beats it! I have brown hair and hazel (green & brown) eyes and tend to buy the brown/black as the straight black is just slightly too harsh for me.
I feel like I always leave CVS with one of these in my bag! I like that the formula is not drying at all and it's a lip product that I can throw on at work and not have to worry about it looking like a mess. They don't last the longest on my lips but I tend to get neutral, "your lips but better" shades so when they do start to fade away it's not too noticeable.
