I’m SO glad I got to try this lip mask because I never thought I needed one...but I was wrong. This stuff is amazing! It’s very thick but doesn’t feel heavy on your lips, and provides a nice barrier against the elements. Although this is a sleeping mask, I wear it anytime I want to provide extra protection in moisture to my lips. For example while I’m doing a facemask I’ll put this on, or before I do my make up. At first, I thought that this may be drying my lips out. But I realize that wasn’t the case. It was moisturizing the top layer of my lips and I did experience some peeling after the first few days. It was actually taking off the layer of dead skin to reveal soft soft supple skin underneath. Now with regular use, I don’t experience the dry skin. I know it seems like a lot of money at first but the tub will last forever! You need just the tiniest bit to pamper your lips. I can also see someone wearing this as lip balm if they live in harsh climates to provide a barrier to the elements. If you have used this and see dead skin on your lips, it’s just the process of the skin renewing itself. Don’t stop using it. Give it a few days and you’ll see how amazing this stuff works!
I was sent this complimentary by Influenster to test and for my honest review.
I know that this is a “favorite product, but I really don’t like it. The formula seems to dry my lips out more than moisturize them. It’s waxy, doesn’t stay on the lips for very long, and the color is very sheer. Every time I wore this, it moisturize my lips for a short time and then seem to dry them out afterward. This may provide temporary moisture but it really doesn’t work long term. I’d recommend a better moisturizer for your lips. Especially because you can find one around the same price.
These brushes are LIFE! Wow. There aren’t many brushes that are this soft and this high-quality at this price. The brushes are slightly smaller than the normal size, but they work just as well as a full-size brush. The hairs feel like teddy bear hair. And this set includes everything you need for a full face of make up. It even includes a beautiful travel bag to store the brushes him. Whether you’re on the go or looking to add new make up brushes to your collection, you can’t go wrong with this set. It’s a steal at the price. It Cosmetics brushes are some of my favorite on the market. I love every single brush in this set and use them all the time. I highly recommend picking these up! They blend everything on your face effortlessly. Truly these brushes are amazing.
Your childhood dreams of being a mermaid can finally come true! This highlighter palette is a mix of holographic colors that will make any makeup look out of this world. The formula is smooth and creamy, not chunky or filled with glitter. I wouldn’t suggest this for every day make up looks, but if you’re looking for something to take your make up game to the next level, this is it. Each pan has a different under town but is blindingly bright. Kat Von D never disappoints with her creative make up that allows us to show our creativity that we have on the inside on the outside. The packaging is stunning and easy to travel with. You can use these colors on the eye, face, lips, and body. I love that Kat Von D is vegan and cruelty free. No matter what your skin tone is, these bold colors will be flattering. I would definitely recommend this little beauty!
This is a very luscious concealer. But not extremely high coverage. It’s very moisturizing and doesn’t look crepey under the eyes. It leaves a beautiful radiant finish. You can describe Born This Way as a creamy, wet concealer whereas others are more drying. You do need to set this with a powder to keep it from creasing. If you’re looking for something to hide extreme discoloration or circles, this isn’t the concealer for you. But it’s perfect for brightening, highlighting, light concealing and bringing your face to life. Snag this for the “no makeup makeup” days!
This is a dupe for the Smashbox Photo Finish primer. It’s silicone based and works just like the high end version but for a quarter of the price. However, I don’t like this because it doesn’t fit my skin type. Silicone primers don’t work well for my combination skin. Although it looks good and fills in my pores at first, it begins to separate and get shiny throughout the day. Also silicone makes my face break out. That said, it does work like it says. And will help smooth texture and fine lines too. If you aren’t sensitive to silicone and don’t have oily skin, I think this is a great option. Plus it’s under $5 and is definitely worth a try!
Finally a quick and easy, yet full coverage, foundation. While this claims to be a tinted moisturizer, it’s really a high coverage foundation. While it has so many pros (it’s easy to use, good for your skin, beautiful finish), there are some cons to this foundation. First the shade range is extremely limited. This formula also takes a long time to dry and you do need to set it to keep it from transferring. But despite the few downsides, I really do like this foundation. It doesn’t make me break out and seems to improve my skin with use. I do wish it matched me all year long though. Usually I apply with a brush and smooth it with a sponge. But your fingers work great too! Check it out on a sale and see if you like it. No matter what type of skin you have I think you’d be able to wear this foundation.
This brush may be small but it’s definitely mighty! It’s soft but had enough stiffness to apply any product with ease. You can use this little cutie on your brows, to apply eyeliner, tightline your lower lash line, and carve out your kids with concealer. Most stores carry this brush for under a dollar. I adore this entire brush line from Wet n Wild and I would highly recommend any of them. They are a staple part of my makeup routine. Plus they’re pink and white and so pretty!
You’re finishing off your stunning eye look and you pick up a black liner to put the final touches on your waterline. And nothing. Your liner is hard as a rock, scratchy and no color payoff. That’s when you need the Urban Decay brand liners. They are like butter, last all day and then some. And are gentle on your eyes. I have several colors but black is the one I use most. Yes they are a little pricey but considering eyeliner can make or break your makeup game, it’s worth the splurge! Every color is the same quality so pick your poison and look beautiful babes. You can find everything on eBay and it's saved me during holidays many times. Love how you can pay with PayPal and other methods. Although you have to be sure to read reviews of the seller before buying. I would absolutely recommend eBay to everyone. Just be cautious who you purchase from. Luckily all my transactions have been great but it's better to be safe than sorry!
