Oh my gosh this stuff is great! On a trip to Natural Grocers my mom picked up their “Stem to Stern” pack with a bunch of deluxe samples of their products and she fell in love with this lotion and their Rescue Balm for her dry hands. One day I touched her hands and couldn’t believe how soft they were so I decided to give this lotion a try. I am so glad I did! It sinks in quickly, smells amazing, and immediately makes your hands noticeably softer. I keep a pump bottle on all my sinks for after hand washing and by my bed to put on my hands and feet before I got to sleep. They have a bunch of scents and they all smell great, not perfume-y in the least, but my favorite is Seabuckthorn & Shea. I am not sure what makes this lotion so effective for mine and my moms hands, but I think it’s the sea kelp and it sets this lotion apart. I also love the convenient pump bottle as well as the travel bottle that is exactly 3.4 ounces (airport regulation size). Sadly it does seem like Natural Grocers is no longer going to be selling this brand because it was all on sale for 20% off to get rid of it (go grab some before it’s gone!) Luckily Whole Foods is listed as a stockist, but none of the locations in Arizona appear to carry the brand yet.

When I got this nail polish in the Birchbox Time to Dazzle box, I was immediately taken aback by the price. I didn’t think it would be that much different from my OPI and Essie polishes to make the $32 price tag seem valid. Well after I used it I understood. I first noticed how nice and wide the brush was and how easy it was to hold steady in my hand. Then I noticed how easy it was to apply. I have never used a red polish that went on so even and uniform. After just one coat my nails were opaque red and super shiny without a top coat. They even dried quickly and within a few minutes they were good to go. It is also very long lasting and did not chip for a whole week unless I did something stupid to cause it to chip. So needless to say I have already ordered the nude and basically hate myself and love myself for it. I am having very mixed feelings. I guess I would say I think this is the best nail polish I have ever used and if you have the money to burn, it’s worth it. (Photo taken in natural light. Nails have a base coat and one coat of Oribe polish on them.)
This is the perfect your lips but better color for me. I have been a fan of black honey for years and when I noticed there was a pink honey, I just had to have it. These almost lipsticks are amazing for a quick no makeup makeup kind of look. You can put them on with no mirror and they just always look great. Pink honey is a beautiful color that is just a few shades darker than my natural lip color (I am very pale with neutral undertones) and a very silky formula. I highly recommend. Review for: Chantilly (true ivory for light complexion) more...
Finally a concealer that matches my very pale skin with neutral undertones. It seems like every lightest shade out there are for those with cool undertones and most concealer/foundation lines don’t carry a shade for me. Besides the shade Chantilly being the perfect match, this concealer covers my blemishes and undereye circles amazingly well and blends out to look like actual skin. I usually just wear this concealer on the small spots I need it and no foundation. An ex boyfriend of mine was convinced I didn’t wear makeup and for some strange reason would tell all his friends that. I give this concealer all the credit because it is so damn natural looking! I have combination skin and it can have issues accentuating dry patches, but I can usually remedy that with exfoliation and a bit of extra hydrating primer or just plain moisturizer on the dry patches before I use it. I also know some people don’t think this is good for under the eyes because it is not creamy enough and I just haven’t had any issues what so ever. If anything I think I get little to no creasing because it isn’t too creamy. Check this stuff out if you are in the market for a new concealer.

I love this brand. I have owned many pairs of Quay sunglasses, but there are only two pairs I currently actually wear. Those two would be the Vivienne in black (pictured) and the High Tea in brown. Quay’s sunglasses are super trendy and stylish looking with so many different options, anybody can find a style that’s right for them. They are also good quality for an affordable price. You can get a few pairs of Quay or one pair of Ray Bans in how I like to look at it. I know they have been heavily featured on social media and such lately, but that’s because they are truly great sunglasses. I have bought pairs from Quay’s website, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack, and I am even getting a back up pair of Vivienne‘s in my spring Fab Fit Fun box. I highly recommend them.
My mom has always been one of those people who loves certain brands and stores super hard and always suggests and talks about them. Nordstrom is one of them, so of course growing up all my clothes and shoes and such were purchased there. Even my first bra was fitted and picked out in their lingerie department. So I kinda have a soft spot for Nordstrom and it can do no wrong in my book. Every single department in their stores is filled with a great selection of styles and brands. But the best part about Nordstrom is their return policy. I am one of those people who basically won’t buy something that I can’t return if necessary. I don’t return much, but I like that safety blanket. You can return anything to Nordstrom, used makeup and worn shoes included, at any time after its purchased. They also price match other stores, which is amazing. Basically I, like my mom, think Nordstrom is the best store ever.
I love love EcoTools brushes, they are the only ones I use. They always come out with sets that have brushes you can’t get on their own and the sets are limited edition some of the time. This set had two brushes I felt I needed, the Controlled Setting brush and the Multitasking Powder brush. So I got the set at Ulta and of course was very happy I did because I love EcoTools brushes. I use the Controlled Setting to set concealer under my eyes and it’s a great highlight brush. I use the Multitasking powder to apply bronzer or blush or powder (hence the name I guess). I honestly haven’t used any of those other brushes or the sponge from this set, but I bet they are great too.
I have been using a pot concealer the last few months (Nars soft matte) and applying it with my fingers. After deciding I no longer wanted to be sticking my fingers in jars, makeup and skincare alike, this duo was purchased along with some mini plastic skincare scoops. I already loved my concealer, but these brushes made me love it even more. I take the small guy and dip it in the concealer and swipe it where it is needed, then use the other brush to blend it to perfection. I honestly think this has made my concealer both more covering and more natural looking. I love them.
I am a huge fan of EcoTools brushes, they are the only ones I use, so after I decided the precision blush brush wasn’t doing it for me anymore, I order this guy along with the similar looking bronzing brush. I was excited to try it since I love putting on blush. But the second I took it out of the package, my white countertop was covered in brush hairs. I thought that it was strange since none of my other EcoTools brushes have lost a single brush hair to my recollection, but decided to forget it. Then I pulled out my blush, tapped the brush into it and noticed a hair in the pressed powder. I bet you can guess what happened when I used the brush on my face (a hair on my cheek). I opened up the bronzing brush and as soon as the hairs came tumbling onto my counter from it as well I packed them up and returned them. It is just the duo fiber brushes from them I have ever had any trouble with, with the exception of the blending brush in the concealer duo. I really do love EcoTools brushes, just look out for these ones!
