YES! Dream mascara. I have a few criteria for mascara and this checks off all the boxes: 1) doesn’t smudge, 2) doesn’t irritate my eyes, 3) doesn’t flake, 4) removes easily without eye makeup remover, and 5) doesn’t test on animals. Step 4 is especially important for me, as I am a makeup minimalist and look for eye makeup that removes easily with my PM skincare routine (i.e., DE Peekee Bar.) I love the two sides to the brush (one is volumizing, which I use first, and the other lengthens), and I find it easy to apply. I am just finishing up my first tube and won’t hesitate to buy a second. Note: the brush is the plastic comb type, not the bushy brush kind.
I walked into Sephora and asked for a night lip mask to help get me through this cold harsh winter. The sales associate, without hesitation, walked me over to the Laneige lip mask and told me it’s the best and I must try it. This lip mask definitely does not disappoint! I use it every night before bed (it hangs out on my nightstand), and I wake up with smooth, hydrated, butter soft lips. I also notice my lips are less dry throughout the day, such that I don’t need to be repeatedly applying chapstick. I love that it comes with an applicator so I don’t have to stick my fingers in the jar, and there is so much product for a great price. This feels especially good after using a lip scrub. I’m thinking about getting a second jar for my purse because it makes my lips feel so good!
This product is a staple in my skincare routine. I stopped using it for awhile while I attempted to switch to one line of skincare, but then realized within the first 6 months that I will never be a one-brand skincare type of gal. So, I was excited to reorder this from a fabulous company and brand. Paula Choice’s prices are affordable and reasonable, and this product is incredible. I pour a few drops into my hands, pat them together, and then gently pat the product onto my face. For some reason I see the most benefit on my forehead when I wake up—my pores have seemed to disappear and my wrinkles are smoothed out. My entire face looks clearer, and between alternating this with DE TLC Framboos, DE Babyfacial (once a week), DE retinol (once a week), my skin is in great shape. Love that it comes in a mini size for travel!
I really enjoyed this eye cream. I only used this in the mornings because of the highlighting effect it has on the under-eye area, and stuck to a non-brightening formula at night (right now I’m using Drunk Elephant C-Tango.) I knocked off 1 star because I don’t think it had effective depuffing power—in fact, I don’t notice a difference at all. Now I see that many people find it effective at depuffing—I wondering if this formula doesn’t work well on me because my puffiness is more genetic? (As in generic puffiness/bags, rather than post-sleep puffiness on someone who normally does not experience puffiness later in the day? Not sure.) But I still found this eye cream to be a great option for brightening and moisturizing, and I love the pump applicator so I don’t need to stick my hands in a jar and expose the ingredients to light and air. After I finished my second jar I wanted to branch out, but wouldn’t doubt if I come back to this formula in the future!
Finally a lovely deodorant scent that isn’t powder or floral scented. This chamomile scent is so subtle and pleasant, and the clinical formula keeps me dry, fresh, and non-b.o. throughout my day. I apply just 1 click in the morning, and I find this to be the perfect amount. The formula is soft and moisturizing, and it has never caused me irritation, even after shaving my underarms.
I love this formula—so moisturizing and luscious, and the scent really lingers on my skin post-shower. However, I am SO disappointed that they changed the scent! They must have done this within the past year, because when I went to buy a new bottle a few months ago I noticed the different smell immediately when I applied it to my loofa. The new scent is no where as near as nice as the old scent, so I no longer use this product. Good news is that I bought a bottle to have at my in-laws’ house last year, so when I visit I get to use my favorite scented body wash. :) I kept three stars because it really is a nice formula, but the scent knocked it down from 5 stars.
There is nothing like the beautiful, soft scent of rose to kick off your day. This product lathers and cleans very well, and the scent stays on my skin post-shower (not too long, but it definitely lingers). Looking forward to trying different Method body wash scents after I’m finished with this bottle, but wouldn’t be surprised if I come back to this lovely scent.
I am sad to report that it made me breakout very badly (deep cystic acne). I was so excited about it! I switched to it after having a bad reaction to Lala (which also made me break out.) I contacted DE to ask about this reaction (and sent photos of my irritated skin, just like I did when I had a poor reaction to Lala and Vitamin C), and they made a few suggestions, but I was already following these suggestions—for example, they suggested that my skin was “sensitized” by using other non-DE products with the “suspicious 6,” and therefore I should try cutting these out; however, I replied saying I was only using DE products (not even BB cream, only Umbre Tinte and D Bronzi), so my skin was not “sensitized.” So then they suggested using 1/2 pump instead of a full pump, which I tried for 1 week, and my skin continued to break out—I ended up returning it to Sephora. I know many people have had extremely positive responses to this product, so I know my experience doesn’t speak for everyone; however, just know that all DE products do NOT work for everyone, despite the company’s message that they do. :) (the attached photo [left] is after 2 weeks of adding Protini to my routine, and then the photo on the right is one week after discontinuing it’s use.)
This moisturizer made my skin glow and feel like butter! However, I am sad to report that it made me breakout very badly (deep cystic acne), so I think it was just too heavy for me. I was so excited about it!
