Review for Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover - 11 months, 1 week ago
This is my favorite eye makeup remover. It does a really good job of removing all of my liner and mascara (waterproof, too) and even eyelash glue without leaving any oily residue. I feel like it helps moisturize all of the skin around my eyes as well which is nice because I don't always pay as much attention to that area as I should. I've used this on my whole face at times and have never had it break me out in any way.
Review for Kat Von D Tattoo Liner - 1 year ago
I haven't found a single eyeliner that comes close to the all around perfection of this one, it's just too good. The applicator is so smooth and precise, it's very highly pigmented and super long wearing and not terribly expensive, either. I have very sensitive skin/eyes, as well, and have never had any irritation with this whatsoever. Seriously can't rave about this stuff enough!
Review for Simple® Skincare Cleansing Facial Wipes - 1 year ago
I have very sensitive skin, especially around my eyes, and I found these wipes to be extremely irritating. The texture is kind of scratchy and the "cleanser" caused a lot of burning and irritation, leaving the skin around my eyes puffy and red for two days. I also don't feel like they're very effective at removing makeup, I still had to follow up with my normal makeup remover. Overall, would not recommend, especially for those with sensitive skin.
Review for Avène Thermal Spring Water - 1 year, 1 month ago
I received this in a Birch Box a few months back and was honestly excited to try it because, without knowing what it was, I was hearing a lot of hype about it. So I was pretty confused when I got it and realized it's a can of water. I've tried it out anyway and, yes, it is "cooling" and "refreshing" but that's because it's water and those are properties that water has... Still pretty baffled by the hype to be honest. It didn't do anything amazing and I definitely won't be spending $18 on the full size.
Review for Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask 1 oz - 1 year, 1 month ago
Maybe I'm missing something, but after using this product several times, I really don't get what all the hype is about. It smells fine and does have a cooling, refreshing feel when you first apply, but I haven't observed any differences in my skin's texture or clarity, nor the "glow" that everyone is talking about. Definitely not worth the price tag.
Review for Pure Ice Shine with Gel Tech™ - 1 year, 1 month ago
Review for: Lock It Down Top Coat
I'm a huge fan of gel manicures but I usually have mine done in a salon, so I didn't anticipate getting much use out of this product. However, when my two week old manicure started peeling off, I decided to give this a go and I'm so pleasantly surprised by it. The top coat is thick and glossy but dries so quickly and has serious staying power. Even used over non-gel polish, it has the same look as a professional gel manicure. I honestly can't tell a difference between my actual gel nails and the Pure Ice Shine top coat. I will definitely be reaching for this again in the future and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality manicure without the salon price tag, or just simple at-home polish that won't chip after one day.
Review for 7th Heaven Tea Tree Peel-Off Mask - 1 year, 1 month ago
This mask was very refreshing and definitely got rid of all of the excess oil in my skin. However, I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin and I'm hesitant to use it again myself. I didn't have any issues with it while it was on my face, just the usual tingling. But besides it hurting while peeling it off, my face was also extremely red and burning most of the next day. I'm not sure if this was because of the ingredients (though I usually don't have any issue with witch hazel or tea tree oil) or from my skin being pulled while peeling, but I would definitely be cautious if you have sensitive skin.
Review for MaxFactor Masterpiece Max Regular Mascara Velvet Black - 1 year, 1 month ago
Not the worst mascara I've ever tried (looking at you, Wet n Wild Cat Eye...) but certainly not my favorite. The wand is nice and it added a nice amount of volume to my sparse lashes, but I found the formula to be thick and difficult to work with after the first layer. I also haven't been able to wear this for a full day because even once it's dry, the fumes sting my eyes and make them water like crazy! I'm a bit disappointed since Max Factor is supposed to be "the makeup of professionals" but I won't be purchasing this product.

Review for Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner - 1 year, 1 month ago
Maybe I'm a little spoiled by my KVD Tattoo liner but this liner just doesn't do it for me. It has great pigmentation and glides on easily, but the rounded tip is kind of a pain. It works great over large areas but I had such a hard time getting a sharp, refined wing or getting this into the inner corner of my lash line. The only way I've had any success using this is to fill out the general shape of my liner with it and then use KVD Tattoo liner in "Trooper" to finish off the ends. It's just too much work. I also noticed some slight eye and skin irritation. Overall, this liner is not for me and I won't be repurchasing.

Review for NYX Studio Finishing Powder - 1 year, 1 month ago
I love this for drugstore setting powder. While it is a little chalky (what translucent powder isn't?), this powder is super finely milled and leaves a soft, airbrushed finish. As others have pointed out, it does create flashback so I wouldn't recommend this for an evening event if cameras are involved, but it's great for everyday wear. Very light and mattifying and super affordable. This one is going in my "holy grail" collection, for sure.
