I don’t exfoliate much but do remember to especially when I’m traveling and don’t have my usual products to turn to. That’s when this amazing treatment comes in. The application isn’t as bad as it seems on the instructions, just lather up and apply a thin green layer all over your face making sure to get that exfoliation in manually, then let it sit for a few minutes (as long as you can withstand) and voila. Rinse off and continue the exfoliating motions and your face feels refreshed and purified. Not sure how it works on a regular basis (and will try!), but would definitely recommend for those looking to incorporate an exfoliator into their travel routine.
I love 7th Heaven masks - first off, they're so affordable, you can stock up for all your TLC needs in one shopping trip. Secondly, they're so easy to apply and use while you're in the middle of other things...I always forget the time is up while I'm wearing one. Thirdly, they make my skin feel so polished and clean - maybe it's the combo of natural and vegan ingredients! This particular charcoal mask was a breeze to use, so easy to remove (SO fun to peel-back!), and purified my skin without over-drying it. I heard the secret is that it's blended with Kaolin Clay, so it's not as tough and a pain to remove like other Charcoal masks. I've used this so many times, would highly recommend if you're looking to purify your skin and don't have sensitivity issues.
I wanted to love this since I'd heard such great things, but my skin did not cooperate. I have combo skin, typically oilier on my cheeks, forehead, and nose but as it's winter and I've been a bit dehydrated, my dry patches are particularly sensitive. I thought this would help combat the redness left behind by itchy areas (that weren't pronounced, just irritated) with its brightening & restorative effect. I have been using a sunscreen like moisturizer with SPF in the mornings ( La Roche-Posay Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV ) and a light-medium moisturizer that's gel like in the evenings ( Kate Somerville ExfoliKate® Glow Moisturizer ) and pairing it with my Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil before I go to bed. Unfortunately, when I added this to my regimen, it appears that the product emphasized my dryness and all of a sudden I could feel and very visibly see the patches I was scratching more than usual. Since this was the only variable (aside from increasingly cold temperatures), I will have to return it for the time being and maybe check it out during the summer. On the bright side (ha!), I did enjoy the texture of the serum. It's kind of gel like in that it's light, but still sinks in and feels effective. The only other con is that if you don't rub it in quickly enough, it starts to get a tacky feeling, so definitely work this in fast so your skin can enjoy it!
Purchased this at the recommendation of a salesperson since I was looking to add a step to my nightly routine as using a makeup wipe to remove the days grime wasn’t good enough. I also have combo, oily leaning skin so they recommended this over the cucumber one which I would’ve gotten for the scent. I have to say it does a good job of purifying my skin after the wipe has mostly erased my makeup. It also does seem to have some soothing effect if I’m feeling a breakout coming. Will have to use longer to confirm that function, but so far so good!
I tried a sample of this thru space Nk’s birthday sample kit and I’m not mad at it! I read some skeptical reviews commenting on the smell (neutral but somewhat milky smelling), but overall had a pretty pleasant experience with it. After applying and leaving it on for the recommended 20 minutes, my skin did feel a lot cleaner and pure. The texture is also great for exfoliating a bit as it’s grainy and feels like specs of oatmeal or something. I’d definitely want to check out a full size sample, but
Love this highlighter from MILK! The original one with the purplish mirror-like sheen had a little too much contrast against my medium-deep skintone, so I went with this one since it has a bronzey undertone, and it works perfectly! Though I definitely have to layer it on to really make it shine, the cream formula lends itself to a nice glow that isn't too overdone.
I love Marc Jacobs Beauty products so I just had to try this mascara. It creates such a dramatic effect on your lashes and is definitely buildable if you're not comfortable with an intense look. The formula is very inky black and goes on shiny but dries to a nice smooth & even finish. I find that my lashes stay curled throughout the day, and it's a pain to remove (the only con) so you know it's long-wearing. The packaging is so great too since the hexagon casing helps it from rolling off your vanity when you're doing your makeup.
