I'm in love with this wipes. just add water and remove your makeup. i do need 3-4 wipes to completely remove all the makeup from my face. It leaves my face super soft and smooth. It does not irritate the eyes. I will purchase this product again.
This stuff really does brighten extremely well. It is a thick apricot coloured cream, but it doesn't feel heavy at all. The colouring helps to really mask any dark circles, and after it's applied it looks clear, there is no pink / apricot tinge left on the skin.
It sets perfectly without powder and definitely does not settle into lines / creases. Just make sure to use the smallest amount, let it set and add more if needed - otherwise you will get creasing. I just pat my concealer brush on the top very softly to pick up the smallest amount, dab that under my eye, let it warm for a few seconds then lightly dab to blend.
I found it made my under eye area quite soft as well, and not dry at all, even after wearing it from early am to way late into the evening.
I used it under and over Becca Ultimate Coverage Concealing Crème, it works both ways, but I found there is definitely more brightness when used over top.
However, it does have quite a bit of sheen / shimmer to it. There are micro glittery bits in it. This shows whether it's worn over or under concealer. It doesn't look bad, but it is obvious. For that reason, and only that reason, I returned it as I prefer a softer look. I was hoping to keep it, as it made a huge difference when I do wear this, it is very brightening, but without looking fake - other than the sheen, which looks nice on many people, but it's just not the look I go for.
I would definitely still recommend this, just keep in mind that it does have sheen.
I was recommended this by an amazing Sephora employee after returning the Pantone Correct + Conceal Palette. The green shade smoothes right on either right out of the stick (blended with a sponge) or with a finger and is so creamy! However, it doesn't slide around and gives nice coverage for light-moderate redness- powder to set is all I need. I will say if you have very strong, concentrated redness like an unhealed or irritated blemish, it doesn't cover that without a layer or two of concealer.
The packaging of this product is stunning, and I bought it for the name as well as the aesthetic, hoping that the product itself was as miraculous as it stated.
It DOES have a beautiful finish, and it makes skin look smooth and matte without the look of a powder. For that I absolutely love this powder. If I had normal skin, I would buy this again, but I have extremely, extremely oily skin, and I need something to not only set my makeup, but to control oil as well. This worked for setting my under eyes, and giving my skin an overall nice finish, however, my oil took over within an hour. I can continue to pat this on many times a day, but for $50 I need something that I only need to touch up once. The other thing that was an issue was the amount of product that any of my tools was able to pick up. I tried everything from a beauty blender to a fluffy brush to a dense foundation brush. and I had to really press the brush into the powder, and pack it on my face over and over. There were just too many negatives outweighing the positives in this product, and for the price tag I wouldn't buy it again.
This is not the best concealer ever. It's not bad when you first apply, but after about five minutes it settles in fine lines under the eye, even if I've set it with powder. I smooth it out with my finger or a damp beauty blender but five minutes later they're back. This continues all day and my friends comment on my makeup, which doesn't usually happen. It doesn't do a good job at all of covering my blemishes - when I blend it it's like it's not even on the blemish - just caking around it and leaving a white cast on the area around it. Very disappointed.
I personally love the packaging for this. The sleek black tube is heavyweight and luxurious. Makes me feel kinda fancy.
The brush is hourglass shape and really does allow for maximum product application. I do recommend multiple applications instead of overloading the brush with mascara. The fibers are plenty so one think application can cause clumping and flaking. Also, it does take a little longer to dry than some other formulas so give it plenty of time before putting on that second coat.
The shade is very black but I liked it even with my lighter brows. My eyelshes are almost nonexistent so it works for me. In the photo above, I have no mascara on the right and ONE coat of Velvet Noir on the left. Huge difference I think.
I've been wearing this all day long with minimal flaking or diminishing. The fibers and formula do not irritate my eyes at all.
So basically, I'm in. I'm adding this one for the long haul. Love it. Couldn't be happier.
