I'm a professional makeup artist and a hobbyist beauty blogger. I absolutely love dogs and love everything makeup & skincare related and that means I am forever curious about new products, always open to trying new products. However, I'm also a creature of habit when it comes to my makeup choices, if it works for me I stick to it until I find something else that can replace it.
Let's talk makeup, beauty & skincare!
it's a pretty good quality palette, I'm not disappointed in that aspect at all. As for the scent, I'd say it's barely there. It's not like the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette that just fills the entire room with its scent. Unless you put the palette under your nose, you won't really smell it. Get this at Walmart with your coupon from the Sunday paper for better value :)
Princess P. asked, “I know it smell amazing and everything but is it worth the hype?”
The Tartelette in bloom palette swatches better on the arms and feels softer to the touch. The Milani Most Loved Mattes don't swatch as nicely, but they are pretty good when applied on the eyes. However, if I was going to choose between the two, I'd still go for the Tartelette in bloom. I like the Bold Obsessions better :)
Georgeanna W. asked, “How pigmented are these? How does it compare to the original Tarlette palette? It reminds me of that palette.”
I tried the Bold Obsessions palette before this, so I unfortunately feel that it's to a slight disadvantage to that palette. I'm not sure why the mattes in the bold obsessions palette were better than the eyeshadows in this palettes, these were dry but somehow kicked up a lot in the pan and wouldn't stay on the eyes. The colors don't show up well, requires a lot of building up. I hope if you've tried this, your experience was better. :)
I think you'd really enjoy the Bold Obsessions for the variety of tones and finishes in the palette, but if you need a solid warm toned eyeshadow palette, this is not a bad choice to have in your collection :) Enjoy!
Hey Ashley :) If you mean pigment as in color, they are not very potent, unless of course you go in with the deeper colors Golden Glow and Gold Deposit, then they will show off some color, but in general if you shade match, it will leave a sheer glowy finish on the skin and it really shows. This product’s intensity can be manipulated depending on what type of brush you use and if you use it dry or wet.

It really depends on what you define as "too much" :) I signed up for 6 months because it was a good deal than getting a monthly box, now that I'm subscribed, I'm realizing it wouldn't hurt if I got the 12 month plan. Their toys are good quality, treats are customizable if your pups have a sensitive stomach or if they have allergies like mine does and they have amazing customer service.
What I don't use in terms of treats or toys, I put in a box and I donate to the shelter where we adopt.
I hope this helps!
Jessica E. asked, “I want to get the box but I’m worried about just one thing, is it too much stuff to get every month? Does anyone find it totally worth it?”
So depending on what your dog's play style is, they have categories of toys, the Barkbox plush is usually their highest grade, I find their rope toys very durable too. But if you classify your dog as a tough/power chewer, they have a Super Chewer Barkbox with toys specially designed for stronger doggos :)
Another great thing about Barkbox is, they will replace any toy or treat if you're not satisfied, no questions asked. :)
Katie R. asked, “Are the toys durable? I worry my dog might rip them up and eat them. Also are the treats/food reliable brands?”
Barkbox has way of accepting customizations in the box, just send them an email or chat with them
On the website and they will make that request happen for you. They’ve got amazing customer service!
Natalia H. asked, “Do the treats cater to dogs with sensitive stomachs? My dog gets an upset stomach really easily and I worry that if the treats don’t sit well with her that the box won’t be worth it”
