I got the filter system in gray. The material is sturdy enough, but probably doesn’t compare to the chrome ones. It was a bit of a challenge to figure out which of the provided wash to use and how to install. The instruction manual was pretty simple, as in not detailed enough, but fortunately the product didn’t have too many parts to figure out. Marketing material claims the filter core is supposed to last 3 months, but as someone who lives alone and mainly uses it for drinking, I found the steady stream started turning to drips around the 2 and a half months mark. There’s also the occasional leak from the base of the faucet.

I bought this when I moved into my new house. This was so easy to install and easy to manage. It makes the water taste AMAZING. I find myself drinking more water with this than I was before. It has lasted almost a year now. All I have to do is unscrew the lid to switch out the filter every 3 months and then it’s good to go again. This has made me love drinking water

I've been relying on the PUR faucet mount for quite a while now in my rural home. Living in an area without city water, we've set up a water pump to draw water from the ground and maintain a private septic system. Dealing with hard water that wreaks havoc on surfaces and appliances, we've taken on the responsibility of filtering and testing our own water, as well as managing our systems, which can get quite costly. I'm genuinely grateful to PUR for offering their filtration systems at an affordable price. Installing the faucet mount was a breeze, taking me just about 10 minutes, including the 5 minutes it takes to flush the filter. Having used these systems for many years, I've encountered no issues, aside from replacing the actual mount about two months ago due to wear and tear. That mount was heavily used for approximately 1 year before replacing. With proper care, they prove to be durable, and all you need to do is swap out the filter when the indicator light turns red. While I haven't noticed a change in the taste of my water, I can rest easy knowing it's being filtered, especially considering that well water can sometimes reveal unwanted particles at the bottom of a glass. Occasionally, the city sends us testing packets for our water, but the PUR system gives me confidence in the water quality. I appreciate the simplicity of the PUR system, from unscrewing the top to placing the filter in, to screwing the right adapter onto the faucet and attaching the mount. It's worth noting that this system doesn't filter microbes (only contaminants and substances), but it does come with a reassuring 2-year warranty. Plus, I received a coupon for a filter that's valid until 2025. Even though we don't have PUR on our refrigerator, as we use well water, we make sure to use filters on our faucets and refrigerator ice maker. PUR has also helped us save hundreds of dollars annually on bottled water. PUR has become a trusted brand in my household over the years.
