The Joico Color Balance Purple Shampoo has always been my go-to whenever I have blonde in my hair. My salon stylists are always eager to try to point my in a different direction for purple shampoos, which, I will always take the recommendations, but why would I swap when I have a jumbo of Joico at my house at this second to go through that works just fine? Lol. And after converting back to fully blonde again when I was last fully blonde in 2022 approximately, I am proud to say the extent of it is still as fully effective as it was before. (Though, I still used it occasionally as I did have a blonde balayage.) As most purple shampoos go, they are drying, so do not expect anything less. However, my hair was strong enough before that I was able to get away with just letting conditioner sit in my hair for a bit most of the time after rinsing the shampoo out and it would be ok. But as I don’t think that’s the case for the average person, please do follow the usual advice and use hair masks/treatments and don’t regularly go over the recommended time of letting the shampoo sit in your hair. That being said, the shampoo is extremely effective in taking out that brassy, orangey coppery hue color! Even from your initial dyeing! It had been over a week since my salon visit that I decided to finally touch the purple shampoo and when I went into work many people had asked if I had actually gone *lighter*! Granted, I let the shampoo sit for a bit, but, I obviously didn’t dye it myself or go /crazy/ and let it sit for like 30 minutes! Please, just use your own discretion and you know your own limitations and hair better than anyone else. Please nurture and take care of it well. But trust me when I say: Joico’s Purple Shampoo works. 😉

I use this once a week to take the yellow brass out of my hair. This is the only product that actually does the job. My hair doesn’t appear yellow after. Just once a week is all it takes

Best purple shampoo I’ve tried. The scent on this shampoo is very fruity and woody as well when I wash my hair people have asked me if I re did my hair and I say no it’s because I washed it with joico purple shampoo! The appearance of my hair has improved so much since using it my hair is more blonde like if I went to the salon I would recommend this product a lot!
