Once you open the cute little box, the first thing which comes to your sight is the blue coloredbrush. Aww! it is so cute! The brush is so convenient to use and nicely shaped. Unlike the brushes which comes with most bronzers, this is something you can really use to contour, not blending though. Love the soft bristles of the brush, but its sad they have used animal hair. If this downside is neglected, the brush is amazing, small and cute, easy to carry, creates perfect contour lines, soft and gentle on skin. Next thing which you notice when the hoola box is opened will be the small mirror. Very useful for touch ups, I must say. Now that we are done with admiring the beautiful blue brush and the small mirror, lets move ahead to the real thing. Once you remove the brush you see a medium brown, not too dark, not too light, bronzing power, which is deeply and carefully set inside the box. Coming to the texture, I love the texture of the hoola bronzer, more creamy than powdery. No, I am not saying it has a cream texture, but the particles are so finely milled that it does not feel like a powder. When applied on skin it blends beautifully that even if you are new to contouring you can easily work with this one as it blends really well with the foudation, no harsh lines (hurray!) Another good thing about the hoola bronzer is that it is super-matte, not even the lightest shimmer. The advantage of being matte is that it looks very natural on the skin, which also means no cakey or muddy look.
I’m currently in love with NYX’s Butter Glosses. I know I’m a little slow to get on this bandwagon, but I’ve never been a fan of sticky glosses and these have the syrupy, stringy texture of honey so I was hesitant to try them. The delicious vanilla scent eventually won me over though!
Anastasia Beverly Hills's Brow Wiz pencil is ultrathin and long-lasting and comes in a retractable tube, so there's no sharpening required to get impeccable results every time. (There's nothing I find quite as frustrating as trying to use a dull pencil to get a crisp line.)
Shape Tape is a perfect concealer. It's very full coverage yet the formula is lightweight. You can cover blemishes easily and blend out the concealer seamlessly and with no dryness or flaking on the skin. They really nailed this formula and it truly is hydrating for providing such an opaque coverage.
The first Maybelline mascara I ever tried was the Great Lash, and it's been one of my holy grail lash prettifiers since then. It's everything I want my mascara to be - at the low low price of P350, none the less! I had high expectations of the new Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara (P429) and I am here to report my experience with it so far. This mascara has hands down one of the best brushes I've tried. It's fattest at the base and curves into a slightly narrower tip. It captures both my long outer lashes and shorter inner lashes effortlessly, and lengthens them without clumping. And I mean zero clumping! The brush combs the lashes in such a neat, organized shape as if I were wearing natural-looking falsies.
Urban Decay's De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray mists on weightlessly to control oil, deflect surface shine and keep skin looking beautifully matte. Over 90% said their makeup looked less shiny, didn't slide and rarely needed to be touched up. 85% said De-Slick is the longest-lasting oil-control product they've ever used.
First impressions: I got this tinted loose powder specifically to diminish the blue- white cast left by my mineral SPF. I have combo skin with yellow undertones and while I love mineral sunscreens, the blue undertone from the mineral actives clashes with my skin and looks ghostly and odd.
I bought the shade Fair Light 10. The Maybelline Fit Me line has only one yellow tone concealer (#20 Sand) that is too dark for me and i need to mix with a lighter color (too complicated) . They don't have any loose powders with yellow tones . This is the closest I could get. I found it leaning a bit too much on the peachy pink side of neutral. For a line that touts to "fit" so many skin tones I would have preferred a powder that is either completely nuetral or nuetral with yellow undertones to correspond with the other Fitme concealers and foundations. All of the loose powder shades, from light to deep, seem to veer either pink or orange/peach.
As far as performance, this left me shiny and I had to reapply after a few hours. I wasn't as impressed with the second application -- it caked up a lot and highlighted the texture / winter dryness of my skin.
I honestly haven't bought a Sephora brand product in quite a long time. But I must say this is an amazing product!! I love every single one of the colors in it and they are very easy to layer to create tons of looks. They are all very pretty and flattering. If you are looking for a new blush you should definitely try this! Its a great deal to get all of these colors for only $28!! You will not regret!
