So I am probably going to be in the minority here but I really do not love Urban Decay shadows...I have used this palette and the Naked 3 and I just do not find them to be worth the price. The color selection is good - but basic. The mattes need some blending and tend to lose color as you work them. The metallics are also not as bright as I personally like. I will say if you are a beginner or into more subtle, quick types of looks then they are not a scary formula to work with compared to the pressed pigments you find in other brands.
One of my favorite palettes! The colors are so pigmented but blend so easily. I think the color variety is subtle enough to use everyday but with enough bolder, romantic colors to play around with more vampy looks. I love Anastasia's shadows and brand as a whole and would recommend this palette to anyone!
Best shadows ever! These 5 pan palettes have mostly metallics so I do supplement it with other shadows when using it but I do not mind that. The metallics are truly the most pigmented, bright shadows I have ever used. Use your finger and a glitter primer for a more intense, lasting finish. Highly recommend the 5 pans if you just want to test out the formula without paying as much.
I actually really like this palette. I think the color selection is great for fall and the colors are intensely pigmented (as pressed pigments are). I do think that it is harder to work with than the Modern Renaissance and you really need a light touch or else they are quite hard to blend so that is why I took off a star.
Best shadows ever. Her mattes and blendable and creamy. Her metallics and shimmer are vibrant and opaque. I suggest using a primer and applying shimmers with your finger or a wet brush. Overall, worth every penny if you are a makeup lover.
I have a few Tom Ford quads and they have pros and cons. I do think they overpriced for what you get. BUT if you are in the mood the splurge they really are beautiful. I recommend the wet/dry formulas (Nude Dip and Honeymoon) as they pack the most punch when you wet them and use them are true metallic shades on the lid.
Natasha Denona palettes are expensive but truly some of the best shadows I have ever used. Her are Anastasia are some of my favorites. The mattes blend themselves without getting patchy or losing pigment. The metallics and shimmers are so vibrant especially when wet or at the very least used with a glitter primer or finger for application. Highly recommend!
This a great powder for all skin types - especially mature or dry because it has an almost creamy quality that makes it not seem overly powdery on the skin. It gives you a satin finish and blurs pores beautifully. Everything you need in a finishing powder.
Charlottes color range for nudes that fit a variety of skin tones is impeccable. I have warm, light medium skin and penelope pink and nude kate are some the best nudes color wise that I have ever found. I can wear them perfectly without lip liner and they are even quite moisturizing.
