Does it live up to its 48 hour protection promise? I don’t know about that. Does it last - and last quite well - for at least a full day? Absolutely. And the scent? Ohhh the scent. If I smelt like this every day I would NOT be disappointed. It smells like one of those hair products that you bring your hair to your nose just to relax in the scent. It smells SO GOOD. And I’m quite picky about scents. Normally gourmand or fruity scents don’t appeal to me. I much prefer an earthy, smoky, complicated scent. But I could catch whiffs of this all day happily. The product sprays on quite comfortably, if a little chilly, and I haven’t noticed any staining of my clothes. Altogether I would absolutely buy this product again and possibly even make it my new deodorant choice for the foreseeable future. I do wish it laSted a bit longer, but considering everything else - I’m sold.
I was underwhelmed with this product. I got it as a sample in a birchbox, so maybe it's just that I didn't have enough to actually work. I didn't feel like it did anything other than just be a typical lotion. At least it smelled nice!
I got a small sample of this in a birchbox, so unfortunately I didn't have a whole bottle to work with! I really liked this stuff. Unlike other reviewers, I would absolutely NOT say that it is full coverage. It is an extremely light coverage, but gives just enough color to even you out a bit -- which is honestly what I prefer. It comes out with a funny texture, but goes on smoothly and evenly. It gives a pretty decent dewy glow. Some reviews on the birchbox website claimed they looked like a disco ball when they walked out into the sun. I didn't feel that it was THAT illuminating, but it does give you a freshly-moisturized look. I tone the shine down a bit with a tiny bit of blush and translucent powder in the places where I want it to be more matte. The only downside is that I noticed on days when I would wear it, by the afternoon there was a weird brownish crumble if I rubbed my face. But I can't say for sure if it was this product or my brow gel :) All in all, if the product were a little cheaper, I'd be a convert ($52 for 1.5oz!)
I don't really have dandruff, but really struggled with an itchy scalp. Especially when my hair was wet, the itching was unbearable. I tried Nizoral, and all it took was one use - my scalp cleared up and the itching completely stopped. It was probably due to build-up gone out of control, but the Nizoral completely stripped all the gunk and left my hair feeling surprisingly soft and totally clean. I use it maybe once a month now, just to keep my scalp clear, and my hair feels SO much better.... and best of all no more unbearably itchy scalp!
I grabbed this in the aisle of CVS the other day because I didn't have a foundation to keep at my boyfriend's house. I grabbed the lightest shade because I'm super fair skinned. When I first tried it, i got scared it was too light! But it really does blend! This is probably the nicest match to my skin tone that I've ever had, from ANY foundation, not just drug store brands. It blends well and has a decent staying power. I would definitely recommend.
I've always been satisfied when staying at a Marriot. You always know you're going to get a decent room at a decent price (especially if you book through a cheaper service!). It's a great brand name that makes me feel like I can trust the service I'm going to get.
I'm from Nashville, so I'm very familiar with the Opryland Hotel! It's a favorite site, especially around Christmas time, to walk around with family and friends. The decorations around that time of year are breathtaking. But it's also a great place year round, with their indoor forest/greenhouse and all the shops.
To be honest, I haven't yet had such a problem with Hotwire that I would have to call and complain to customer service. It sounds, based on other reviews, that that wouldn't be fun at all.
I do, however, use Hotwire on any trip I go on. I have the mentality of 'why would I pay full price for something if I don't have to?' Hotwire helps me out tremendously there... if I can pay $80 for a $300 a night room, why wouldn't I? My boyfriend and I always sit down with Hotwire before we book a trip so we can save money for the things we would rather spend money on. It's easy, especially if you are flexible with your traveling, and don't have your heart set on ONE hotel, since Hotwire books you a random hotel in an area you select.
Influenster sent me the L'Oréal voxbox, which I got in the mail today. I immediately jumped in the shower to try everything. First of all - the smell is divine. Coconut-y and cashmere, it's absolutely lovely and clings to your hair. Both the shampoo and conditioner were hydrating and slick, and helped me detangle my usually fiesty hair. The curl gel was the icing on top, and hours later when my hair is finally starting to dry, my curls are voluminous, frizz-free, and fully formed.... which is something I can't usually say about my hair. I'm excited to make this product line my new routine.
