Review for: Rimmel Brow This Way Lightweight Gel, Medium Brown, 0.170 Fluid Ounce more...
The product isn't bad, it's just way too warm on me. I have ash brown hair, and I expected at least a neutral color, but this is the opposite. It's almost auburn. It looked a bit ridiculous on me, so I switched to another brand. Also, the brush is close to the size of a regular mascara brush, so it's not very precise compared to Benefit or Essence. The formula is smooth and not clumpy, though. The price is good too, at $4.
I like the Crisper better than the original Snickers. It has crisped rice in it which adds a lightness to the "heavy" / rich ingredients like peanuts and caramel. I wasn't a big fan of the original Snickers and rarely bought it, because I felt like it would take a long time to digest. I find myself reaching for the Crisper a couple times a month though. This is definitely a better snack imo.
I have tried Benefit's Give Me Brow and I really couldn't tell the difference between the two. I like that this is a fiber mascara as well, and the price is amazing. 03 Browny Browns is a dupe of #3 in Benefit - a true medium brown. However, though my hair is medium brown, as my brows are thin I thought 02 Soft Brown looked better on me - it was more of a taupe color. The brush is also very similar to Benefit's Give Me Brow - it's a mini spoolie for better precision. This is great, because a lot of brow mascaras have a big brush that is difficult to use. For the price I really can't think of a reason to go with Give Me Brow unless you just want a big tube of product.
Review for: JORDANA Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color - Raspberry Tart more...
I bought 3 of these and didn't like them. I guess I expected them to live up to the hype. This lipstick is pretty drying, and I already have dry skin, so that was a big minus. If I don't dab on some balm, it will crack and crumble off within 5 minutes. However, with balm it's wearable. The color is not patchy and the smell is nice - they have scents based on the name of each color. But the longevity isn't very good at all, and if you eat oily food these will come off fast. I also have to hold a smile for 30 sec after application, or else these will crack and settle into lines. It's not *terrible*, though. I can work with them, and they feel pretty light. When you follow the tips I mentioned, it will look decent for a while if food is avoided. They also have a good color selection for the price. I just really prefer other drugstore brands in the same price range.
This tape is my go-to invisible tape. I use it for just about everything, and it doesn't have a white cast like some other types of tape. However, it only seems to be getting more expensive by the year. I have switched to the budget brands at CVS and find that they have exactly the same quality.
I definitely give this credit for being eco-friendly, but it didn't really help my sink clogs. If an object is stuck in the pipe, this isn't going to dissolve it. The plus is that this didn't give off toxic fumes, or have any odor. If you have a hair clog (shower, tub, etc) I would highly recommend Home Depot's Zip-It drain cleaner. It only costs a few dollars, and will totally remove all the hair in your drain (but brace yourself - it's pretty disgusting). This product is just not effective.
Refined coconut oil is a cut above virgin/unrefined, and this is a good brand. You can cook with refined oil at higher heat. I especially like using it for baking and frying sweet things like pancakes, as the refining process takes out the strong coconut oil and flavor. It's also great to use on your hair and skin, as the refined oil contains more phytonutrients. The only problem is that this is pretty expensive, so I wait for the sales to buy it.
I really like this! It's the first eyebrow gel that I've tried that has a tiny spoolie for application, which makes it much more precise than other eyebrow mascaras. I was able to touch up both brows in about a minute, and they turned out really nice. I'm an eyebrow gel type of person because my eyebrows are fairly dense, which makes it difficult to get in between the hairs with a pencil or pomade. This gel applies very quickly and looks fantastic, filling in the spaces to give me a clean "done-up" brow look. The finish is natural and neither sticky nor dry, and it doesn't come off. I tried shade #3, which matched my ash brown hair perfectly and wasn't too dark or light. I can see some people being disappointed in the fact that there's only 3 shades (which is typical of benefit face products), but it matched me very well. If you have warmer-colored brows, you may want to try another brand though.
For the price, I give it 5 stars. It's only 5 bucks! I personally prefer more fine-milled highlighters, like the one by Urban Decay, or liquid ones like Mac Strobe. But this swatches a lot like many of the powders I see at Sephora. It's basically a dupe of Becca's shimmering skin perfector powder. It's very pigmented so you just need one swipe. There are a variety of colors, and I like Catwalk Pink for my cooler-toned skin. It matches well and doesn't look too dark or warm. There is some scattering of the powder when I put it on my brush, but when I apply it on my face I dont notice much fallout. Again, it's just amazing for the price. I have no significant complaints.
