Beauty trends and tricks started in my life with my first "BOP" magazine back in 1990 (lol). I was 13 years old. That was a very long time ago. ........
From 1990 to 2016 my taste in magazines and overall Zest for life have matured. I'm teaching my 19 and 9 year old daughters that you are only as old as you feel, and I am a FAB 38-YEARS YOUNG, BABY!
Being a mom of a 19 year old in this era of "beauty boutique" is awe-inspiring. On one hand, I have an entire network of HOT MOMMAS (haha) to share, discuss, and learn about tips, tricks, trends, etcetera. BUT my network go so much deeper; I also have the world-shaping minds of YOUNG LADIES in their mid-teens to early twenties! Our discussions are OLD SCHOOL + NEW SCHOOL = EVERYONE GOT SCHOOLED!!!
My newest obsession! I've always used witch hazel; I saw the Enhanced Hydrated Toner and decided to give it a try, so glad I did. I am a woman of aging skin, and the combination of witch hazel, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E take 3 of my beauty steps and put them in one bottle.
I love this eye cream. I was born with genetics against me with dark circles, puffiness, and allergies. I have tried everything. I found a little miracle at my local drug store when I found Okay on sale. I have used anything else!
I have an extremely sensitive face. Simple Skincare Cleansing Facial Wipes are the ONLY wipes I am able to use without having a huge Breakout the next day. I use these wipes whether I have had makeup on or not, and they leave me feeling clean and refreshed.
I am very excited that I received Febreze One from Influenster for free to test. I am already a huge fan of Fabreeze, so getting to test a fairly new item is great! I received a Bamboo sscent; I am not sure what Bamboo smells like, but this scent is so fresh and crisp, yet not overbearing. This fabreeze comes in a bottle rather than an aerosol can, but sprays a stream of mist like a can would. Best thing, you can buy refills for the sprayer. Everything about this makes it better environmentally. But the best thing about Fabreze One, you got it, one bottle does it all, it is an air mist and a fabric mist. I simply love it!
The only household product you ever have to buy again, really! Lol. This bottle does it all, washes clothes, dishes, counter-tops, floors, my body, my hair, my kids, and my dog haha!
I have been using Dr. Bronner's for about a year now. I actually saw it on a cooking show where someone was washing fruits and veggies with it. I bought a bottle and started experimenting with various uses. It is the best "go-to" when you need to wash build up out of your hair, and they have a Peppermint Hair Creme made to use after this soap, oh, the wonders!
The best thing I have done is mixed it with baking soda until a past has formed then cleaned my bathtub and grout to a sparkling white!
Thanksgiving at my house isn't right without Hawaiian Rolls! Hawaiian Rolls are inexplicably soft and fresh straight out of the bag. For as long as I can remember our tradition has been to coat the tops with homemade honey-butter then stick them in the oven until the tops are bubbly brown.
St. Ives Apricot Scrub has been my "go-to" exfoliant since I was a teen, and I just celebrated my 39th birthday! I was convinced, several times, that as I aged I had to change to pricier, department store brands, but they did not work, or were far too harsh! I always end up going back to what I know. I only use this 2-3 times a week, and I use it in conjunction with a black, African coconut soap, the combination is awesome for skin!
When I think of margarita salts (here in Texas) one name comes to mind, @JoseCuervo! It is a staple in making the best margaritas and of course, for great beer and lime, but we all know the best part is the functional part of the hat that allows you to easily twist and salt your limes!
