I love science and literature so I majored in one and minored in the other while in college. I am still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I teach flexibility/conditioning classes and dance classes. I love my dogs, I love gardening, and I love reading. My husband and I have been trying to start a family, and hope that we will soon be successful.
I received a free sample by Voxbox in exchange for an honest review. First of all, a serving is two capsules at bedtime. The active ingredient is Diphenhydramine 25 mg, which is the same active ingredient that I have seen in other pain relief/sleep aids. The benefit of ZZZQuil is you get the sleep without added pain relievers or cold relief. I am sensitive to these types of things so I only took ONE pill of the two. I give a 3 star review because it certainly did help me fall asleep and sleep well through the night but even the one pill had me groggy the following morning. The other reason it has three stars is because of the nightmares I had. To be fair, I did not give anything less than three stars because I do not know 100% the nightmares were a direct cause of the medicine or a coincidence. Again, it did help me sleep but I cannot say I would purchase this product because of the groggy feeling that remains through the next morning.
This is a super thick sunscreen, so keep that in mind when you are applying it to ANY part of your body. It smells like an orange cream sickle, which is very pleasant. I purchased mine at Earth Fare. Since it is a mineral/physical sunscreen it will put a white tint to your skin, especially in the areas where it is not rubbed in well. It does help prevent sunburn, but you do need to apply it according to directions - especially if you have been in the water or sweated a lot. It is gentle and does not burn my skin like some ingredients can.
I received a small jar of this eye cream as a free gift with purchase from the Bobbi Brown counter. I had never used this one before, but have tried other eye creams for hydrating under my eyes. This one has a thicker consistency to most eye creams I have tried in the past, and I would certainly consider it a "cream". Due to the thicker consistency, and I am assuming the type of emollients in it, it does a fantastic job with hydrating under my eye. I especially make sure i use this when I am applying concealer and corrector, because it helps prevent caking and lines that can otherwise be created due to my dryness. Also, since it is so thick a little goes a long way. I will purchase once my small jar runs out.
This is just as good as Dramamine, but do not confuse this for the less drowsy formula Dramamine. This will knock out the queasy feeling in a hurry, but drink plenty of water with it because the pill itself is actually a bit bitter. This also works well when you have had a little too much to drink and you lose your bearings a bit (so to speak). Of course since it is the Equate brand I purchased mine at Walmart for a very inexpensive price. It certainly does not cost any more than the Dramamine brand, and you get far more tablets for the money. I keep a bottle of it in my medicine cabinet for travel, and for treating a bad case of nausea.
OK, first of all let me say that I LOVE Larabars. I love that they are fruit and nuts and that is all. I love that they are convenient to take with you anywhere and they don't melt. I love that you can eat them as a snack or a dessert and they will not derail your health goals. I love that most of the flavors are absolutely amazing. However, to say this flavor was disappointing would be an understatement. I was actually in the middle of a break at an AMA conference when I decided to eat this little guy. One bite equaled pure disgust. My face must have reflected the carnage because everyone around me started laughing. I always give food a second try before I 100% decide if I love/hate it. Second bite in and I started gagging. It tasted the way lemon Pine Sol smells in a bathroom. I grabbed some coffee, and powered through the rest of that bar though. Since I bought it at an individual price of almost $3.00 I wasn't going to let it go to waste. I love you, Larabar but I don't love the lemon flavor.
This has always been my go-to tea for sleep and for comfort. When I was still in school my mom would give me a cup of this the evening before a big test to help me relax. Now that I am an adult I reach for it when I have had a particularly stressful day at work and need a little help unwinding in the evenings. A cup of this 30 minutes to an hour before I want to go to sleep will actually help relax me and lull me into being sleepy. I always seem to fall asleep quickly and have a more restful night when I drink this. My one and only complaint about the tea is that the bags are not individually wrapped, so you have to make sure you close off the teabags to prevent them from going bad.
I love using this soap in the fall. The scent reminds me of peeling and cutting fresh apples after a harvest. It is a fresh, sweet scent, and and doesn't have a strong alcohol smell like a lot of hand sanitizer.
I bought this for the first time in November when my skin started drying out with the changes in temperature. I am a bit of a weirdo when it comes to some body products, because while I am not 100% "crunchy", I do try to keep my chemical exposure as low as possible. This brand fits perfectly into that category, since they are all about staying as natural as possible. The scrub itself smells like brown sugar, which is perfect since I switch my scents out seasonally as well. It had a warm, comforting scent that very subtly stays on your skin (it is not a long lasting fragrance, though). It exfoliates very well, but this formula is very gentle. There is a higher ratio of oil to grains, unlike some formulas, so it is deeply moisturizing. I will definitely purchase this one again.
I really wanted to fall in love with this product. I actually purchased on a Sephora associate's recommendation when I was looking to find a product to "prime" my lips for matte lipstick. She stated it would fill in the little lines on my lips by plumping it up, it would provide even application, and it would last. Well, it did help my lipstick last longer, I'll give it that. I could not tell that it plumped the little lines to make it look more smooth, and holy crap was it hot! My best friend bought one and couldn't even use it because it burned her so bad. The heat was similar to red pepper sauce staying on your lips. I like spicy stuff so no big deal after the first few minutes, but it made my lips seriously start peeling. They would peel every single time I used this product. Three stars because it keeps my matte lipstick looking great, but I have to basically sandblast the peeling off my lips once the night is over.
