Review for: Maybelline New York Eyestudio Eyeshadow ~ Fall Temptation 140 ~ Limited Edition
These are among my favorite drugstore eyeshadow lines. The pigment is usually out of tris world, the colors are often unique and many of the quads contain matte shades. How can you go wrong? Pair them with a good primer for long wearing color. Great, affordable color cosmetics.

This is my favorite cleanser of all time. I've been using this for about 15 years. I think it had a different name (slightly different) many years back, but it has always kept my skin looking beautiful. It it has a slight cooling effect and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

This has worked very well and very quickly to clear up my occasional blemish. I do recommend being extra careful with it, though. A little goes a long way, and too much is too much! The first use did cause my skin to peel away quite badly in one spot as I'd over done it. Less is more.

This was fine for moisture, but the texture was not my favorite (a little too thick and slippery) and nor was I a fan of an open tub. I much prefer a pump to keep dirt and debris out of a product I'll be applying to my face. it did look pretty on my side table, but I'll try something different next time.

Review for Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 Chocolate Lover's Cake - 3 months, 1 week ago
These mug cake mixes are perfect for summer! I'm a dessert lover, and chocolate is my go-to, so I was thrilled to see this in my Darling VoxBox. Not only are they a quick, convenient treat, but they don't add to the already oppressive heat by running an oven for almost an hour.

I love these and have used this scent once or twice. I keep a giant stash of the B&BW Pocket bacs for me and my son to keep our hands germ-free. I love how portable and adorable they are.

In addition to keeping germs at bay, I find these do a great job of cutting greasy feel from foods and other substances. While riding my bike, for example, my chain came off and after putting it back in place I used a pocket bac and a napkin to cut through the nasties the chain left all over both hands.

Always rebuy : )

Review for Bath Body Works Red Velvet Cupcake 3-Wick Scented Candle - 1 year, 2 months ago
This candle was a huge disappointment for me. I was excited to buy it and thought it had a great scent on cold sniff, but when I burned it the scent was like cheap wax and cheap chocolate-flavored candy. I'm a southern girl and a big fan of red velvet cupcakes, so I had high hopes here.

Unfortunately, though in general I love Bath and Body Works' candles, this one is a definite no. I won't repurchase it.
Review for Yankee Candle Apple Pumpkin Collection - 1 year, 2 months ago
I'm an admitted candle hoarder, and this candle is one of the main reasons I have that title. I like to have as many of this stored away as possible and I do NOT wait for the autumn to burn it!

They are pricey, but the scent throw is incredible.

The scent is warm and sweet. Really great for an inviting home feel.
Review for L'Oreal Paris True Match Liquid Makeup - 1 year, 2 months ago
Review for: Sun Beige
This foundation is nice. It gives me the coverage I need, applies and blends smoothly and isn't too heavy, dry or cakey. SPF 20 is a very important summer-months addition for me as well.

I'll likely repurchase it, but I will mention that oddly the lightest neutral shade was VERY orange. I compared it side-by-side with the cushion version and it was obvious it was a lot darker and oranger. I ended up exchanging for the lightest warm shade and that came a lot closer to matching the cushion version.

Review for L'Oréal Paris True Match™ Lumi Cushion Foundation - 1 year, 2 months ago
Review for: Light Ivory (W2)
I'm in love with this foundation. Not only have I used up my first compact and repurchased, but I found it on sale and bought two additional to have it 'in stock'!

I love that it is purse-friendly foundation. I don't know what it is about my skin, but foundation just tends to wear off very quickly for me. It's great to have a liquid foundation I can easily reapply in the ladies room. Since I have skin on the drier side of normal, adding powder to my face really isn't an option when coverage fades. Cushion foundations to the rescue.

I have rather pale skin and use this in the lightest neutral shade (though I don't see that available for review). I don't find the foundation 'luminous' on my slightly drier skin, but it isn't cakey and awful, either.

The only con to this is that it is half an ounce, which I assume is measured before putting it into the cushion, which is obviously going to retain some product, and it is very pricey for drugstore foundation! I went through the first one rather quickly. That was when I noticed that it only has .51 oz vs 1oz for your typical liquid foundation. Once you realize the price per ounce you feel you may as well be buying a higher end brand, but then again this one works great, so who cares what name is on it!
