Review for Gold Bond Ultimate Radiance Renewal Lotion - 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I can't say enough about this lotion. As someone with extremely dry and sometimes painful skin, I use this daily. The scent does not clean with other things I eat and it speaks in incredibly quickly and lasts quite some time before I need to re apply.

I like the creaminess and ease of application. Longevity leaves something to be desired but all in all it's a good lip product.

Review for Clairol Root Touch-Up Concealing Powder - 2 months, 4 weeks ago
Clairol Root Touch Up box ($10). This is a perplexing product. I've seen people use a bit of shadow to touch up wigs and the like but it never occurred to me to use the same technique to touch up roots. Since I sweat so much from my head, it probably wouldn't be a good idea for me anyway.

Surprise! This does make a GREAT brow powder! The color was natural, buildable and long-lasting. I was pretty shocked at how good my brows looked after I took an angled brush to this powder. It was soft and natural but I was able to also make what looked like individual hairs and they stayed put throughout my work day. Imagine that!

I could also see this working well as a beard/mustache filler for the men!

There is almost 2 grams of product (for reference a typical eye shadow is about 1.5 grams). The packaging is fairly bulky but it seems sturdy and the large mirror is nice.
Review for tarte Limited-Edition Buried Treasure Eyeshadow Palette - 3 months, 2 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
Tarte was having a great sale right after Christmas with an extra percentage off sale items so I picked up a few things, one of them being this Buried Treasure eyeshadow palette. I paid $14.40 (reg $36), placed my order on 12/26/2017, it shipped on 12/27/2017 and I received on 1/4/2017.I'll admit I purchased it because of the packaging. Love or hate Tarte, they really do know how to do packaging right. I knew that the shadows had pretty mixed reviews so, honestly, I wasn't expecting too much. The pigmentation was pretty average, definitely not as bad as some reviewers would have you believe. But the creasing, oh my! I started with my regular base of skin care and Urban Decay Primer Potion, used the 4 largest bubbles of shadow and within 6 hours I had a lovely line cutting right through my crease where the shadow had balled up. Ugh.For $14 this was an OK purchase, at full price I would've been mad. It is still really pretty to look at.

Review for: Fair Beige more...
Pros: large and soft applicator, creamy consistency, sets well with powder, buildable, clay effective as there is a large quantity in tube.

Cons: easy to use too much, creases after about 6 hours, can look caked on if you aren't careful when setting.

Review for Natasha Denona Diamond & Blush Face Highlighting & Contour Palette Citrus - 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I am totally in love with this Darya palette!

Generally I am not a fan of cream face products but these all apply so nicely with a damp beautyblender and the powder products layer quite well on top for an extra pop of color or shine. They are all very glittery so you'll need to love that sort of thing which I do. Color lasts most of the work day and does not travel all over my face. I'll be picking up the Citrus palette as soon as it's in stock!

Review for BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector - 3 months, 3 weeks ago

Review for: Light To Medium more...
I'm steadily working through my @Beautylish Lucky Bag!

This #Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector is showing some potential. I like the creaminess and it works well concealing my dark circles. After using it daily for the last week, I've found it stays put and does not settle in my fine lines. There is an undetectable amount of glitter in it and I do need to start a concealer on top. Powder helps with sewing but isn't really necessary.

Review for BY TERRY Terrybly Velvet Rouge - 3 months, 3 weeks ago

Another #Beautylish Lucky bag item!

The #ByTerry Terrybly Velvet Rouge Intense Matte Ultra Conditioning Liquid Lip in Lady Bare.

Oddly enough it feels like a bullet lipstick, creamy and it never really dries down which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm not sure where the "Intense Matte" comes in either. It's really a lot more comfortable and hydrating than the box would have you believe.

Review for MAKE UP FOR EVER 9 Artist Shadows Palette: Artist Shadows 2 - 3 months, 3 weeks ago
Beauty Junkie Expert Level 2
I was feeling pretty left out of the Sephora additional 20% off the already discounted sale items *Sale On Sale* event. The biggest hoopla was over the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette that was on sale for $26 (reg $42) but I already have that so pfffft.

I settled on this Make Up For Ever Artist palette Vol 2 - Artistic $20 (reg $44) in hopes of replacing the Kevyn Aucoin ElectroPop palette that I didn't care for. I've never tried Make Up For Ever (don't ask me why they insist on separating that into 4 words) shadows but most reviews are very favorable even though they're not hyped up by the Beau-tube community.

My main interest with eyeshadow is always ease of use and this formula falls squarely into my top 3 of all time. There was no fallout or kick up, and the shadows lasted all day on my oily lids (over a primer of course). It's hard to find a formula that gives great color and blends out easily but all of these did. I used a dense brush and my finger to apply, both worked great.

The only con of this palette is that now I want them all... sigh. Luckily, I can wait until there's another great sale :)
