I received Nature's Bounty HappySmile Multivitamin Softgels to try through Influenster and I will be completely honest there is not a point to these vitamins. I didn’t notice a difference in my overall teeth and gum health but I wasn’t expecting it either. If you already take a multivitamin, you probably get what this product offers so save yourself the money. I know Nature's Bounty released a bunch of these vitamins benefiting different things, but I don’t agree with the positioning at all. This multivitamin won’t make any more of a difference to your teeth than normal dental hygiene practice.
I received Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask complimentary of Influenster and after using the product for about 2 weeks I didn’t really notice significant improvement in my hair. I have frizzy and dandruff prone hair and I felt like this product made my hair less frizzy than other conditioners and hair masks I have tried, but not enough to make a significant improvement. I did love the smell, but I am not sure I would purchase again. It didn’t work for me, but it might work for others!
I received Eva NYC kweeen glitter spray through Influenster and let me just say - I AM SO OBSESSED!! I love glitter anything as long as it is not tacky and this is definitely not tacky. I will note that I used this only as body glitter and did not test it on my hair so for body it is absolutely beautiful and the fact that it is in a spray can makes the application super easy. The spray also came out evenly and did not create a mess which I appreciated. I have been obsessed with Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb for my body glitter, but this spray will definitely be a go-to.
I received the Pretty Vulgar Faux Reals mascara to test and I really wanted to like the product ... the packaging was super cute, definitely aesthetically pleasing but this was the worst mascara I have ever used in my life. I have pretty long lashes naturally, so this mascara did absolutely nothing to add volume. What it did was clump super bad. As you pull the brush out of the tube there is already a lot of built up and one application will literally create a mess. The mascara also flakes and I found that it irritated my eyes. I kept blinking throughout the day. Definitely not worth the price. There are drugstore mascaras that are way better.
I received NatureBox Almond Oil Body Wash to try though Influenster. My initial reaction was to the smell. The fragrance is very strong and it reminded me of Baby Lotion, but a much stronger smell. It would be fine, but my skin wasn’t left smelling like anything afterwards. I also didn’t notice the body wash making my skin softer because I still used lotion after my shower. Thankfully the product didn’t irritate my skin so I definitely thinks it’s safe to use if you are someone like me who has super sensitive skin. The only other issue I have with this product is the price range - I think Dove body wash is significantly better for a cheaper price.
I swear by bareMinerals Made-2-Fit foundation so I was super excited at the prospect of trying the new bareMinerals Blemish Rescue Skin-Clearing Spot Concealer. I got the 2.5c Light/Medium shade and at first impression I loved the sleek look and the easy application that came with this conclear being a stick. Love the hidden sharpener as well and that the compactness makes it easy to carry around for reapplication. I have pretty dry skin, especially in the winter, so I get the breakouts and I found that this concealer does some justice for my acne. The fact that the product is formulated with Salicylic Acid means that not only am I covering the blemishes, but I am also fighting current and future breakouts...I did notice a difference over time in my face clearing up. The concealer is very creamy and has other soothing ingredients so a huge plus for not drying out my face.
However, my only negative is that this concealer is not full coverage and when I tried to blend it out, I found that the product did not do that great of a job of covering up the area. The positive is that it is buildable... but I do think it will only work best covering the small blemishes.
I‘ve been wanting to try this product for a while, but never could bring myself to pay the hefty price... Well, I finally got my hands on a Clarisonic, receiving the Mia Smart complimentary to test and let me tell you that it definitely lives up to all the hype that’s been surrounding it for years. I have extremely sensitive skin so I’m always hesitant to try things in fear of breaking out. The Mia Smart did wanders for my skin. I was mind blown after using the product for just a week and noticed my skin clearing up and the change in the radiance and glow despite the harsh weather conditions. Being a new Clarisonic user, I enjoyed the Soft Start feature, but I did test out the app capability and found it fairly simple to figure out and use. Once you take a personal skin care quiz, you can download a customizable routine to the device and you actually don’t need the app at all afterwards to still use the personalized routine. However, it’s perfectly doable to never use the app feature since the Daily Cleanse and Gentle Cleanse moods controlled by the power button are enough, especially for a newbie. Overall I am highly satisfied I finally got my hands on a Mia Clarisonic and that I got to try the new features out!
I got to try the Chai, Banana and Birch shades of the BECCA Ultimate Coverage Longwear Concealer courtesy of Influenster. I have managed to make 2 work for me flawlessly. At first impression the concealers are extremely thick and creamy, however, once you blend out the product it does not sit heavy on the face. Additionally, I love that the concealer doesn’t set into creases or fine lines nor does it crack or separate halfway through the day. Your makeup will look just as good as when you applied it in the morning. However, I will note that I do set my makeup with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder and I find that this product is too creamy and it will look better and last much longer if set with translucent powder. In terms of coverage, blemishes require 2 layers, however, I would rank high for coverage of dark circles. I have seen people use the concealer while contouring. Overall, I am impressed with the the product and would probably repurchase. Hopefully the 16 color range that is currently offered can also be expanded.
I received this liner for testing purposes through Influenster and I can honestly say I was not a fan of the liner at all... it could be partially due to the fact that I am biased against pencil eyeliner, but this liner made the line way too thick. For someone who loves their wing, this pencil makes it extremely difficult to create a sharp and crisp wing. I usually stick to liquid liners or even gel liners to achieve the look.
