I received this in my Boxycharm. I'm actually liking this A LOT more than expected. It's VERY pigmented, so needs a light hand (fortunately, the way I apply blush makes that easy to do), and this particular shade isn't normally one I'd use (it does have a touch of pink to it, but it tends more orangey). Surprisingly, when used lightly, it gives me a nice warm glow. And it plays nice with others, so I can apply it to get that glow, then add another color for an actual blush. Have been reaching for it more than I expected I would, and I think the price for it is very reasonable. I might try picking up another in a color closer to what I would wear on a regular basis.
Received this in my Boxycharm. Not impressed and tossing it as soon as I review it on m channel (domytriesthis; because of an eye issue, I can't hand it off to one of my girls). It has decent color. It's a bit clumpy on application, but it redistributes well. IT gives a little length and some curl on the first coat, but needs a second coat to actually do all that much. It needs a second coat to get much volume. But even with a second coat, it's not that great. Even a third coat doesn't really do much for me, and it does worse over a base. It's okay, but I have better at similar or lower prices.
I received this in my Boxycharm. I've had some eye issues this summer, so haven't used this as much as I'd like for a full review, but with a new Boxy coming.... Anyway, you really need VERY little of this (this tube will last a REALLY long time): just a tiny bit on the tip of a finger tapped on gently under the eye works for BOTH eyes. It takes care of the puffiness, and I really like the slight cooling sensation I get when I use it. Probably wouldn't repurchase (dr. brandt is freakin' expensive!), but I'm glad I have it!
I received this in my Boxycharm. Honestly, I ended up letting my daughter test it out for me because this is just like the Urban Decay Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette only with fewer colors. She told me the pigmentation was okay (she's into neutral colors, but didn't seem either impressed or unimpressed) but they barely last through the day for her. I have another Crown palette that I really like (not on the top of my loves list, but it's a beautiful palette that I still reach for on occasion), so am sad to hear the lasting power of this one isn't that great. She's happy enough with it to keep it and continue to use it, but she seems to think of it more as an everyday palette that will just barely get her through her work day, not anything special.
I received this in my Ipsy bag. I've not been impressed with liquid eyeliner in the past (I end up making my own eyeliner with setting spray and eyeshadow, for the most part)—either the tips don't work for me, or they bleed, or something. This one ROCKS. Firm tip that's not too thin or too thick and that draws a really nice line and wing, beautiful color, and no bleeding. Definitely considering a repurchase in the future!
I picked this up as a possible alternative for the Origins Clear Improvement™ Active Charcoal Mask To Clear Pores . While it doesn't work for that, I still like it for a soothing mask between my heavy hitters, though it's not as soothing than my Yes To Cucumbers Cooling Mud Mask . Doesn't dry down, and I don't feel it really draws out dirt etc, but it feels good. Skin feels smooth and somewhat soft when washed off. It definitely clears oil, just don't think it forms the kind of hold needed to clear pores. Don't need to use a lot so the jar will last awhile even using it 3-4 times a week. Not sure I'll repurchase it, but I do like it.
I received the SL Eyeshadow in Sea Green in my Ipsy bag. This is not as pigmented as I expected, and the color doesn't match what you see in the pan. There's no kickback, but quite a bit of fallout. And the shadow appears to be a bit brush fussy: it seems to do better with a stiffer brush. I've also had some issue with it sealing a bit (I use tape to lift the sealed layer and it works fine). All that said, it's a beautiful color and a decent shadow, and I enjoy using it.
I received this in my Ipsy bag. This is a little thicker than my NYX Hydra Touch Primer or Smashbox Photo Finish Primerizer , but otherwise very similar to both. It's creamy and refreshing on application, and my skin feels soft once it soaks in. However, I didn't notice it doing anything groundbreaking, and the Nyx, which works just as well, is less than 1/3 the price (and I can get a small size of the Smashbox for half the price). For that reason, though I'll use the sample up, I'm unlikely to purchase it.
Received this in my CurlBox. You can use this really thick mask as either an in shower mask or as a leave-in conditioner, which is something I really like about it. As an in shower mask, it did help with the dryness I experienced with the shampoo, and my hair felt smooth and silky after use. However, my hair still needed more of my hydration serum—not as much as when I used the shampoo and conditioner without the mask, but still a bit more than with SheaMoisture's Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil set. It actually does better for me as a leave-in conditioner: my hair is soft and supple, and my natural curl didn't need finger curl help. And the amount of curl in the morning was amazing. When I tried not using the mask, I noticed a difference in how soft my hair feels to the touch. The mask is the one product in the line I would consider purchasing.
