I am a beginner in the makeup world looking to expand my knowledge and try all sorts of things.
I will not repurchase again. On various reviews it seems to work, but on my skin it doesn't. Maybe I got a bad one, maybe it's the formula. It manages to enhance all the dry spots even after exfoliating. It manages to break up even with primer. It does not work with the Flower primer or any of the ones I have for that matter. I tried applying with sponge, it just sat there. With brush it made all the dry spots even more visible. Hands made things worse. In the end I had to use it without primer or any type of product on the face, with a thick foundation brush pushing in and pulling outwards. Lots of work to blend and even then enhances dry spots I had no idea existed. Cannot layer whatsoever. I don't give it one star because on the outer parts of my face it has a beautiful finish, the problem is my center. I am determined to make this work because it cost me $14 and cannot return it through the website. CoverGirl Vitalist has a better finish tbh.
One day use and won't buy again. Physician's Formula has failed me once again. This powder does give you an airbrush look however the color is not accurate. "Translucent" is not translucent at all, it has a more yellow undertone ending in what looks like a bronze. If you are ivory or a tone darker from fair or porcelain it may work for you, but for my pink undertone, white skin whose version of a bronze is looking like a lobster, it does not work at all. It also irritated a small breakout zone that was healing and gave me a new one on my temple. That said, once the product set in it melted into the skin beautifully and gave a nice satin glow to the skin. Very powdery though so if you use a brush it will get everywhere!
Not much light shades, even the porcelain oxidizes a teeny-tiny bit dark with a slight yellow undertone. It clings to dry spots so exfoliate and moisturize before applying. The puff is not the best applicator. I would recommend using a brush to apply in a buffing manner, since patting just makes patches. Buff and buff until everything is blended well otherwise it will cling to your concealer and the rest will not have much coverage. After it sets, it starts "melting" into the skin creating a nice finish. It is not matte and thus will end up satin, keep a blotting paper close by to prevent dewyness and dry up before touching up. It does blur imperfections and has somewhat nice coverage. If you wear glasses, the glasses will rub it off which is not a problem for me. I still prefer the CoverGirl Clean Matte powder for everyday use.
(The pic is the powder on top of Flower concealer it might look good on camera but in person there is a yellow undertone which is more prominent on certain lightings)
(805 Fair to light SPF 21) This is my holy grail! The best BB cream I have ever used. It is more of a tint moisturizer as it has a bit less coverage than a regular BB cream which is already light coverage. Because of this you can re-apply every 2 hours to get the best advantage of the sun protection without getting cakey. It has a satin-dewy finish and works well after being set with powder. No fine lines or wrinkles get highlighted whatsoever. Truly a remarkable product to use everyday or on those days where you just want even skin tone.COVERGIRL Smoothers BB Cream
If you’re in an emergency and need neutral colors fast, this is for you. I do not recommend it for anything else. The colors are beautiful on the palette but they lack pigmentation in real life and the shimmers disappear. The “burgundy” style of colors are brown not reddish. Some colors are way to powdery and make a mess while others are hard to pick up on the brush. Overall, good for starters and getting the hang of eye makeup, but not for elaborate makeups. wet n wild Au Naturel Eyeshadow Palette
UPDATE: 10-15-18 I stopped using this cushion after a week since my face started breaking out. After a couple of hours it started feeling heavy and itchy. Use at discretion.
Cute packaging for starters. The sponge is quite rigid and will work better if you wet it a bit with some mist. Be careful since it can leave mark from it sharp edges. Got it on sale at Walmart since it is a pretty pricey cushion for a drug-store brand. Not enough dark shades. It has a satin-matte finish with light-medium coverage. Be sure to exfoliate very well and use a moisturizing primer since it highlights all the dry patches. Since it has a powdery finish there is no need to set it, but if you will be out a while do set your under eye and smile area since a bit of product sets in the fine lines. After 2hrs it does get a bit dewy-er so keep close a blotting paper or translucent powder. It is supposed to be re-applied every 2hrs but I don’t know how it will handle re-application since it is buildable but also cakey-prone. It has little product inside and it is easy to dry out, keep in mind that refills are not available so you will need to buy it again at regular price. I’m yet to find a Korean cushion refill that will fit the packaging. Physicians Formula® Mineral Wear® Talc-Free All-in-1 Cushion Foundation Light/Medium 6657 0.47 fl. oz. Box
Beautiful brushes with super soft fibers. Great drug-store brand. It comes with a traveling pouch perfect for makeup also. It leaves a beautiful soft finish especially with powders. Definitely recommend it!
