As a curly-haired girl with highlights, I appreciated the product combo (with the shampoo) which made my highlights bolder, but it is definitely NOT moisturizing enough for my curls. There is almost no slip even though I piled on the conditioner. The scent is great and it did rinse out well, but it is just not what my hair or scalp needs.
After using this product multiple times, I can say that this is a very good shampoo for colored hair but not necessarily for curly hair or sensitive scalp. I have partially-highlighted curly hair and I appreciated that my highlights did appear brighter but it did leave my scalp itchy and my curls were not as hydrated as they are with my normal shampoos. Very light fragrance. My mom, with straight and color-treated hair, loved the shampoo and "borrowed" it from me!
So starting from the beginning, this liquid lipstick is a true liquid lipstick. When I first opened the tube, I was hit with a cherry/vanilla Chapstick smell that was not very pleasant but it did dissipate after application. The brush itself is excellent with a pointed edge making the need for a lip liner non-existent; there is also a well in the brush so you do not need to keep redipping the wand for more product. The product is buildable and I personally applied two coats for a true color pop (pioneer); the second color I received is a light nude so you cannot even see it on my lips (my lips are naturally pigmented with blue-ish undertones). The liquid lipstick is TRULY matte and drying on the lips though when you smack your lips together, they do stick which I don't like. The color does transfer though minimally but again, your lips are a weird type of sticky at first so you have to let it dry for about 10-15 minutes. It does make it through the majority of the workday including lunch, coffee, and water consumption. Overall recommendation? Yes!!!!!!!!!!
This is a fairly effective cleanser though it is not strong enough for our two dogs. Dogs and carpeting in an apartment mean high traffic and dirt. While this did help, with a light scent after drying, I wouldn't buy this one again. I would definitely look for the pet odor one!
Review for: Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream 1.6 oz/ 48 mL
If you have combination skin, acne prone skin, winter-dried skin or minor redness then PLEASE try this. I use a lot of Peter Thomas Roth products like serums and masks so when I saw this and tested it at Ulta, I knew I had to take this home. This is a gel moisturizer so it will not clog pores. It is packed with 30% hyaluronic acid which means that moisture from the atmosphere helps keep your skin hydrated and plump. My minor redness has substantially dissipated and my skin is left feeling soft. I even sneak a little under the eyes because a tiny bit goes a long way!
I use this as a prefabs solution and combine with the tablets for a thorough clean. I notice a difference without it as this helps eliminate streaking. It is not expensive and smells pretty clean. It can also work well on its own.
There's not comparison. When using Downy after washing my clothes come out softer and last wrinkle free longer. The smell is light and does dissipate relatively quickly but it does prevent the water or humidity smell on my clothes. It isn't expensive but I can't find it everywhere.
There is something about PTR masks that never fail. This is a thick masque that really seeps into the pores and helps eliminate and reduce acne breakouts -even the hormonal ones! I have used it once and am very pleased. With continued use, sparingly, I look forward to clearer skin.
I have oily to combination skin with a very distinct olive tone. I am prone to periodic breakouts but I also have dry zones around my cheeks. I have used many foundations in the past from Bare Minerals but I was surprised that this version was not good for my skin! It clung to my dry skin and made the rest of my skin oiler than normal. Yes, it is illuminating but it made me look just dirty. By the end of the day, I thought I could grease a frying pan! It does require use of the corresponding brush because it doesn't spread well with other tools. It is light coverage. I would recommend this for dry skin only.
I finally caved and tried the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer during Sephora's VIB sale. I had been looking for a concealer that can cover my dark circles and doesn't cake or crack after a couple of hours. I have tried many other concealers including the "dupe" that every one talks about and nothing lasted more than a couple of hours. THIS concealer not only lasted but with a little finishing powder made my eyes pop and didn't crack a couple of hours later. Great choice for those with oily skin too -it doesn't just sluff off.
