Love love love loveeeeee. Smells fresh, feels a bit tacky while applied but finishes matte. Keeps my make up from sliding off my face all day & keeps my under eye concealer from creasing which is huge. My new go to primer 💯
Buckle up for the long review: I have sensitive combination skin that progressively gets noticeably oily/flaky in areas throughout the day. I also touch my face & sneeze A LOT (thanks allergies) during the day so I’m always deep into the tissues & feel like I’m just rubbing off my makeup. My skin has annoyingly yellow undertones in some areas and then random pink undertoned areas that all never seem to match right with drug store/other brand foundations/B.B. & C.C. Creams etc. And last but not least I have some trouble acne spots that can be difficult to cover...I’m talking like it’s either angry red or has been dying slowly and it doing that awkward will it scab over or is it just going to do this weird skin flake thing (GROSS! Amirite?!).
I’ve heard/read/seen all the hype about this foundation. Lemme tell you I was skeptical. So I went to Sephora and they hooked me up with a sample after matching me. Naturally my shade (140) was out but I had my sample and I went on my way. I’ve been using this for 2 weeks now and I have some feelings.
I f******* love this foundation. It is a blessing. IT ACTUALLY MATCHES MY SKINTONE FLAWLESSLY. Ok? I don’t even need to blend it down my neck it is THAT perfect. It doesn’t make me look orange and I am so grateful for that. My one complaint is that it dries quickly but it legit dries to an almost powdery finish and it is a beautiful sight. I “contour” (idk how to contour but I have a kit and I try my hardest) with a powder so it works great with this. My blush and highlight are also powder and lemme tell you...after 9 hours of working & commuting I get home and it’s allllll still right where I put it on in the morning. The stay power is incredible. What about my progressive oily spots? They don’t exist anymore...those shine spots don’t gradually appear throughout the day...my skin stays looking like a beautiful matte piece of art. Also those troubled acne areas? They’re covered, they stay covered, & the weird flaky ones are less noticeable for sure.
I first apply the Fenty primer, then I apply my 140 with a foundation brush, and thennnn I buff/blend it in with my beauty blender. I don’t have to use setting spray or powder with this it just stays and slays. Since we’re all beautiful & unique here’s my advice:: head to Sephora, get a few swatches on your cheek/neck (wherever they put it on you to match it) & walk around for a bit because it does oxidize & slighty change color. ((When I first applied it completely my initial thought was “NO NO NO THIS IS NOT IT” but then it transformed.)) Then check which swatch you think looks best & get yourself a sample to make sure you like it! A little bit goes a loooong way. My sample lasted over a week but halfway through I went on the fenty website and ordered it. I highly highly recommend giving this a shot!
I LOVE this cleanser. For the price you can probably find something comparable and cheaper but this is a great splurge item. The packaging is so pretty, I love the color. It smells like grapefruit with a hint of something almost black peppery. I know that sounds weird but it really smells scrumptious. While the packaging itself is pretty as previously mentioned it’s actually kind of stiff which makes it a bit awkward for getting the cleanser out. I kind of wish it had a pump but the cleanser itself is a little on the thick side so maybe that wouldn’t work. A little bit goes a looooong way with this. Also, the exfoliating granules are on the bigger side which I like a lot more than micro beads or whatever the grits in St. Ives are. It lathers up very nicely and is very easily washed away. Definitely did not feel any remaining residue and my skin feels so smooth and soft & looks bright and hydrated afterward. I highly recommend this.
I picked a sample size of this with my Sephora points when I bought their cleanser. I figured why not try both together since they go hand in hand. After reading rave reviews about this moisturizer I really wanted to love this but it fell pretty flat for me. The packaging is cute - I love the color of the container. Upon first opening it, the water cream smells great and has a really nice texture/consistency. Upon application it’s super lightweight and absorbs quickly. Here’s the thing though...my skin isn’t overly dry but once this absorbed into my skin it pretty much disappeared without a trace. I mean you literally wouldn’t have been able to tell that I had put anything on my face. It didn’t feel any more supple or moisturized or anything. Kind of disappointing.
I remember buying this as “contraband” back in the day for tension headaches but I totally forgot about it after not being able to find it for years. This over icy hot any day of the week. My friend recommended I give this a try/reintroduced me to it for my excruciatingly painful muscle spasm in my neck. My sig other massaged this into my neck and it was great. The smell is less nauseating than icy hot - it’s kind of like a cinnamon version of Vick’s. When you feel the coolness start to subside rub more in. While it wasn’t a cure it did lessen my symptoms and relax me. Highly recommend!
Super cute and felt cool while it glided on but it didn’t last very long nor did I see it have any effect on my under eye area. Probably won’t buy again but I’ve since turned the case into a lip balm because it’s that cute.
I love this highlighter except I have it in champagne pop from their Jaclyn Hill team up and there’s no product in the search for that. Having said that I also have had this shade too and am obsessed it’s flattering on all skin tones is super shimmery and glides on like butter (even though it’s a powder). I typically use Watts Up from benefit but I feel like creme highlighters rub off my makeup. This is perfect - highly recommend!
The color of this gloss and the shine is 💯 but idk what it is with “plumping” lip glosses they just don’t work. The shine and thickness of this gloss definitely give the appearance of a plumped up pout and - I’m not talking bigger lips - I’m talking it fills in the fine lines - it doesn’t actually puff your lips up. It has a minty tingle sensation but that’s about it. This still gets 4 stars though because of the color and shine.
I love this as a primer/base for my eyeshadow and have been using it for years. It blends beautifully, doesn’t crease, & makes my eyeshadow colors so much more vibrant. It’s a nice creamy non-tacky texture that applies smoothly with a brush or your finger. Highly recommend.
I’ve been a loyal Tampax customer for 17 years & these are by far the best tampons they’ve come out with to date. I can’t wear pads they just drive me crazy. I remember when the only option was with the cardboard applicator and how uncomfortable those were. Then Tampax introduced pearl which I adored as much as anyone can adore a tampon because the rounded plastic applicator made things so much less taxing especially on those lighter days. But as anyone else can probably attest going to the bathroom in public and using the feminine product disposal basket the wrappers made things a little bit daunting. Then 4 or 5 years ago they made the radiant line with the same style applicator as the pearl but now with the resealable wrapper things are much more simple and discreet for disposal.
The other thing I love about these - which is something I learned in an advertising class - is the box. All products whether it’s cereal, toilet paper, tampons...are all designed with packaging that a consumer can identify by a quick glance while walking down the aisle. That’s why some of us get frustrated when packaging changes because for a split second what we’re looking for is unidentifiable. Feminine hygiene products are a bit more pronounced with this packaging idea. The beauty of that is that if I can’t get to the store and my sig-other gets stuck in the seemingly awkward or uncomfortable position for a man of picking up my lady products he can easily do so just by walking down the aisle.I
