I got this as a deluxe sample in my Ipsy bag, and it’s become a staple item in my beauty bag. It layers well, even if the application wand isn’t my absolute favorite (like a doe foot gloss wand which isn’t great for a liquid.) The cherry shade can really go from a bit-your-lip shade to a bright red.
I was intrigued by this new product and decided to try “French” style yogurt. It’s similar to a cross between Greek and Icelandic. I really like the fruit on the bottom style, and I think so far black cherry is my favorite flavor I’ve tried.
Review for: CLINIQUE Take The Day Off Cleansing Oil 1.7 oz more...
I mainly used this as makeup remover and as the first step of their three step face system. While I still like the soap and lotion, I think there are better makeup remover options out there- micellar water for me has worked a bit better for stubborn makeup. This always seemed to smear around products like eyeshadow, not always completely removing.
This was my default cleanser for a number of years, and I’ve recently switched back. It’s a good value for the product and does the job without being overly aggressive or irritating to facial skin. The foaming also feels nice as opposed to other cleansers that have a more exfoliating property to then.
I like how approachable Clinique makes skin care with their three step system, and I’ve used this soap for many years with no issue. It’s a very solid product, and I always have a travel size for trips.
I got this as a sample and used it all quite quickly. It did everything I needed with no irritation or dryness afterwards. I might purchase the full size- all the samples I’ve gotten from FAB have been quite impressive quality products.
This cleanser takes some getting used to. And your sink area may end up a wet/green mess after you use it. But I think this is a pretty solid option for a cleanser for combo skin. I’ve used it for a few years, rotating between this and buche de Noel when available. However, I think I may switch to a less labor-intensive cleanser in the future- I always feel like in trying to mix this up I probably lose a third down the sink.
I don’t think this agreed with me for my face, as it ended up leading to a few clogged pores. I ended up using most of this as a conditioning treatment for the ends of my hair- it worked fabulously, but that wasn’t what I intended for this product to do.
I got this as a sample, a few months after trying my first facial oil. I don’t think this one works as well for me personally, as it feels a lot “heavier” than other brands or types of facial oil I’ve tried. It hasn’t caused a breakout or anything like that, I just prefer some alternate varieties I’ve tried.
